This definitely has a different feel from when Alexander was the creative director, however this gives a new perception of a McQueen brand. The ‘classic office’ costumes are beautiful, an exact definition of “wearable designer clothes” when it’s unique enough to stand out and look original but doesn’t make you look over-the-top or even hideous like some other brands which may look appropriate on the runway but ridiculous in real life. Great cut, beautiful fabric, again very stylish and wearable especially for those who’s not afraid to make a statement with their outfit.
I found it safe, reductive, boring and very pedestrian for those who don't want to think about what to buy or what to wear. And where the CD did go out on a limb, things like that thick ropy silver brocade is simply put together in the most unappealing way. The aubergine leather trench, from the front, really nice, well cut, gorgeous lines and leather and then it has this back wimple cape thing that makes her look like the Barneyback of Notre Dame. I think those recut suits with the tailor's construction stiches (I think that's what they were referencing) were really nicely cut and the pin striping done this way is interesting but ultimately lost in the precison and banality of the white repeated line. The dark almost black red velvets and other fabrics are obviously gorgeous but the whole thing left me bored to tears.

Lee's DNA disappeared with him and he did not have children, although some of his creations might be mistaken for offspring, so incredibly breathtaking they were. There's also the obvious "semen all over the studio" implication which in some studios is no doubt true but...

What is so ingenious is there at the heart of the collection is Lee Alexander McQueen’s tortured soul in the form of the psychological / psychiatric ink block prints! This is a collection that goes over and above all expectations! I also hope it appeases The McQueen Queens who have been so vocal and damming of Sarah Burton in the past! She has truly delivered this time! A stunning orgasmic collection! I love you Sarah! Bravo!

This was a fantastic collection. The careful attention to details with exquisite design and construction was spot on. I also loved the use of color throughout the show. I'm obsessed with the purple leather trench coat and gloves...bravo!!!😆😆😁 Magnificent accessories, particularly the jewelry!!!😍😍😍 The men's wear was a bit extreme in some cases, however it was consistent with the overall collection and gave a nod to the late designer's avant-garde signature look. Most of the designs were so tailored that the denim might have been better for another show. These outfits certainly made a statement. I only wish the women would wear makeup since it completes the entire look.
what a bold,strong collection. I can see and feel Alexanders presence in these garments. The sharp lines,very vampire esque. Thank you for keeping his presence alive. Definitely one of my favorites.
What I've always loved about McQueen is the attitude, the confidence. I see the clothes and I think oh yeah I'd feel invincible in these if I'd ever had a chance to wear anything by McQ. Sarah does a great job. Brava.
This is exceptional. The clothes are wearable, designed impeccably and LOOK very beautiful and like fashion. Also, many pieces are timeless, so for us commoners - if we want to splurge, we will still look good wearing it 5 years from now
