AWESOME! Thanks Bob! We need more shows like that. You do a great job and Clint Walker was my favorite western actor and I understand a real gentleman.
We just found a lost treasure a few weeks back. Forty ounces of gold per ton that an old timer told me about almost 50 years ago. Off to find another. Would have been great listening to this guys tales. Wow!
How about 'Yellowstone Kelly", with John Russel, Ray Danton, and Edd "Kookie" Burns from 1959? 'The Big Guy" was my favorite cowboy growing up (I am 68). I cut my teeth on Cheyenne, Bronco, Sugarfoot, Lawman, Colt .45, and I could go on and on. To me, Warner Brothers had the best western and detective shows. They all had a cool song, too. I believe Cheyenne was the first hour-long western. L.Q. Jones was a semi-regular sidekick called "Smitty" in the first season. I didn't realize it until much later, but Warners would regurgitate old movie scripts and adapt them as tv show plots. They would even splice scenes from movies into the shows! (I think that may have been why Cheyenne was filmed in black and white?) I always respected Clint Walker as an actor and a man, and never heard a bad word about him. The world could surely use a lot more like him, that's for sure. Thank you, Bob,, for letting us see him again.
Interesting story, And so great to hear Clint Walkers tale. Thank You Bob for keeping the spirit of the West and The Spirit of America Alive in todays world. It feels like the heart and soul of America in these current times are under a physical & verbal attack daily.
I couldn't agree more. A series about the ordinary, if that's the right word, pioneers of the West would have been fascinating. By the way the music you played is known in this country (UK) as Lord of all Hopefulness. Is it the same in Texas?
Excellent video! I really enjoy your channel’s content. Hoping you will release more of the interviews you had with Mr. Walker. Thank you for this one!
My goodness ! I bet that was an honor, I would think you are very lucky Bob to have personally known Mr Walker. got to share in conversations with him. I cherish these: documentaries. shows. movies. skits. lost episodes. each and everyone' no matter 2 minutes or 2 hours, to me they are more of a treasure than that gold- & should be treated as such, each time I see and hear you' well it's like the Grand Canyon 'your 'can I say love maybe- life works"are as true , genuine knowledge of the West from it's tools &workings- Legacy are as Vast.
I thought the honor of having Clint Walker as a friend I met him in 66 or 67 and I helped him on a couple movies he even moved to the town that I was born in because I kept bragging about it I still miss him very much
I thought you would like to know this I have some stories about him but most people aren’t interested anymore they don’t even know who he is my life is pretty sad now that all my friends are gone and I mean all of them do you have a nice day

*Clint and I share Birthdays... a few years apart of course. Would have loved to have heard this interview when you did it. Because I'd have helped Clint out with those Books, and gladly done it for room & Board only. Mr. Terry, there has to be a way to carry his legacy onward. Let's find out how to do it.* 👍👍 5⭐ & 10♥️
And I told him that he died when I was four over the years I got to know him pretty well I was born in grass Valley I kept telling him what a nice place that was and how much I loved it he finally ended up driving up there and he also fell in love and finally moved up there I went and saw him many times he is gone now along with just about everyone else I knew
I would’ve loved to see a series like that! Especially if Mr. Walker narrated. If only!
The world was a better place with Clint Walker in it. Miss that guy.

I liked Clint Walker as a kid.
They're showing reruns of Sugarfoot and Maverick here in the UK. Rifleman and Gunsmoke have recently finished.
When Cheyenne was filmed TV shows were in black and white.
