Rafa could achieved a rare feat in atp finals in history book if he defeated Federer in 2010 final ..he could be the only man to defeat Djokovic, murray and Federer back to back but missed that record because of that loss to fed
That drives me nuts. Short clips of tennis are especially guilty of that & also of not stating who the players are. Sometimes you can’t decipher who they are.
I'm far from an expert, but one thing to note is that it's not only the surface, but also that the environment is closed to the elements, which for example allowed Fed to be a little more precise in his attacking game than outdoors. I also don't think Rafa's heavily spinning ball grips as tightly and bounces as high on these surfaces, which is another plus for Rafa's opponents.
Indoors should be lower and less bouncy than outdoors. Court speed is also faster. And most importantly, many players are more comfortable playing. While numerous players have struggled to adapt on grass courts, indoor is less irregular. As well as being a problem for Rafa himself, indoor was the biggest test for him, as his opponents are more likely to show a high level of skill.
With external factors like wind, dust and heat absent, precision players like Federer, Zverev, Thiem , Djokovic, Sinner thrive Indoors.Rafa relied on breeze , bounce, spin and slide which are all ruled out Indoors... He struggled a bit Indoors , especially when he was no longer young ..
@@celestialspartan7977 I would also add Medvedev to that bunch as well...the dude is running on his fumes at the moment, but when he is on and i mean really on like between 2019 and 2021, he is a big problem to deal with indoors!...Murray wasn't too shabby either, defeated Djokovic in high stakes match here in 2016, that takes some balls, even though Novak was only a mere shadow of his former self at that time, still, a huge accomplishment regardless, since he is the one to end his 4 titles winning streak from 2012 till 2015, which is something no other man in the entire open era was able to do and a win right there right then meant he would end the year as #1 and he didn't choke, no matter the circumstances!...
Best of the rest is a disrespect to Murray bc that kind of implies that they were close to him which they really weren’t. Of players over the last 20 years, Murray is really in a category of his own.

ironically, this is the only tournament in Federer's career in which he defeated both Djokovic and Nadal...
It's not Nitto ATP Finals 2010, it's Barclays ATP Finals 2010
Thanks for referencing the year the match took place :) Sometimes this info is missing and I have to look it up.

I miss those times :(
Can someone explain how indoor surface are different from other hard courts?
Why Nadal was never able to win Paris masters and WTF titles?
indoors are typically much faster. No wind conditions aswell making it easier to play overall

Best match at The O2, comfortably.
peak era
Murray best of the rest

طلي من الشباك قولي مرحبا
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Nadal NEVER won ATP Finals 0️⃣
Et donc? Tu comptes poster ça sous toutes les vidéos de nadal c’est ça ?
Murray, that Pusher will never win anything.
That’s alright, he won plenty.
You can carry on getting on your knees for your favourite ballbashers.
He won 3 slams..
@nolegoat4603 ...is what people said in 2010.
