just down the road from where i live, i've been quite a few times, always something new and the shop gallery is always fascinating, the grounds are huge and peaceful - lovely place for a picnic! highly, highly recommended .

Where are the silver elephants that were kept with other silver in a safe in the upstairs of the main building.There was a pig farm that was turned into nurses quarters and opposite there was an orchard.Next to the the nurses quarters was a large shed type building containing 1000s of jars with slices of brain in them.Also there were round cages where the patients were hosed outside and people could come and have a picnic and watch all these madmen ( sick people ) perform,i wonder why they don,t talk about this side of the hospitals history.It is in West Wickham just outside Croydon and is set in lovely grounds.
