I'm 3yrs late into watching this tutorial but trust you me, newspapers are trending right now which is how i found your tutorial because I'm trying to make one in Canva but I'm having a designer's block (like a writer's block but in designing lol) so thank you soooooooo much.. this is truly appreciated!!!❤❤❤
You are welcome!!! I use it ALL THE TIME! I recently made a custom envelope which was a prop but it needed to look like an international envelope that was posted and did it all I canva and it worked so well! I could do a video on that if you’re interested! You are right CANVA is underrated!
Thank you so much you're a life savour, if not for you I wouldn't have been able to complete my assignment the last night right before the deadline!lol 🙏🏻
Hi, I love this tutorial but if I have a printer that at the largest I can only print 8.5 x 11.5 paper how can I print this and put it together, how did you do it? I hope I'm not asking to soon since I haven't watched the entire video yet. But I love this video. And because of this video I would buy Canva. Thank you for sharing your time and video with us.
You’re welcome! I answered a little bit in my previous comment but also you could do it in 2 A4 pages in canva for the front cover and just design it over 2 pages and stick them together once printed!
Not sure where you are in the world, I Australia i had them done in office works. Basically I had them printed in A2, but you could do the same thing in A3
Hi, I know this has been asked before, but I just wanted to clarify, is printing it in A3 (297x 420mm) an okay size or would you recommend printing in a different size?
So sorry for the delay I have had time off youtube. A2 is probably best BUT you can do A3 if you stick the tow sides together. That gives you a full size newspaper feel. But either work well
I would suggest that if your printer handles A3 then perhaps to print 2 A3 sheets but if not you could print it to A4 over multiple sheets and tape it together as well or make it on a smaller scale. In Canva you can make A4 documents and you can use those dimensions instead 🙂
Hey! I don’t know if you’re going to read my comment, but I absolutely love how it turned out! I’m doing a project and was wondering if you could give the link to your template/project (the one you used or made here).
can you share the details of how you printed it out? Like the stores near me don't have a specific "newspaper" option and they only give me document, poster, etc.
I went to a printing place that specialises in larger print. I had mine done in A2 but you can also cheat and do 2 A3 sheets for the front and back and and tape them together
Not sure of the cost of having to send something out to be printed. At my theater we are on a tight or no budget. I use my Cricut machine to cut vinyl for the headings and stick them to "newsprint" paper that comes in a pad purchased at Michaels, then I stick it on a ready made newspaper. The cost is virtually nothing. I can do headlines for the stories the same way and then find relevant pics and time accurate ads online and print them if needed to add to the newspaper. No one in the audience is going to read or notice the newspaper unless you pull out a USA Today when the play is set in the 1950's. I think that's part of props. If the prop is not noticed, you succeeded. What did you charge for the newspaper?
That’s a great idea! Yes it would have worked however our director also wanted the same newspapers to be projected onto LED screens and the audience could see the text. This was for a pro-am show though so it was a higher budget. However I don’t think the printing cost a great deal. I have also thought of using the Cricut markers to do them as well (writing titles).

I went to a printing place to get it done professionally
how did you get the newspaper is it yours / can a copy a news paper from the internet
Do you mean the headder? You can copy them off the web yes but the newspaper itself I made
Thanku so much!❤
You’re welcome

A2 size is a large newspaper. If you want to do front and back on 2x A3 sheets and stick them together that also works
How did you print from canvas and onto a newspaper-sized paper? Did you use an app or go to a specific place? Thanks for the great video
I went to a printing place that specialises in larger print. I had mine done in A2 but you can also cheat and do 2 A3 sheets for the front and back and and tape them together
Hey where did you go to get it printed and what size did you use?
I live in Australia - office works for us but I don’t know about any other country I am afraid
Hey! Thanks for all your information! Would you be willing to share your template? I'm a big canva user myself.
Hi there, it’s in the description now 🙂
Is each page on canva a single newspaper, or do they all belong to the same newspaper?
I designed front and back on the one page and had them printed together on A2
Hello! May I ask what paper did you print it on?
Just regular paper :)
@@ThatPropsGirlwait you used just regular printer paper?
