Individually, he did exceptionally well. Proving he's a still world class.
Overall, the rest of the team and managing sucked.
Ronaldo's goal was to win the Champions League with Juventus and he didn't. So tbh, he did fail.
But does it mean that Ronaldo failed as a player? Absolutely Not. He was brilliant.

Am a Messi fan , mark my words, United won't even make the semis. Their midfield will be exposed both in the league race and CL .Same as what happened in Juventus and for Messi against Roma and Liverpool, you need a good all round team in the UCL knock outs against good teams .My honest expectation is United to finish 3rd or 4th best and getting eliminated in the QF on the UCL. My UCL semifinalists are PSG , Man City , Bayern Munich , Chelsea .

What is failed to mention is that Juventus are struggling financially to compete with the top end of things, and the pandemic hasn't helped, hence the transfer merry go round. Of course they're not bankrupt but signing Ronaldo is the equivalent of buying a 65" OLED to say you got some thing high end, but live in a council estate and drive 15yr old Corsa.
Peak Juventus would've signed Ramos and Donnaruma on a free, Hakimi before he went Inter, and would be in contention to sign Mbappe next season.
Ronaldo was signed to bring in money, so they've done that. Any success would've been a bonus.
They failed to support a signing like Ronaldo.

El Phenomenon won the World Cup twice...that's the main difference.
Christiano Ronaldo is the best to ever do it concerning offensive all-rounders...what makes him the best? Other than Messi....he won everything with multiple different teams in different leagues. Messi will ALWAYS be a Barca legend....while never winning a World cup or play at one of the other great leagues.
For me...my opinion.... Christiano Ronaldo playing at Juventus Turin and scoring in the defensively Seria A....was the absolute evidence that he is absolute world class ...I really would have loved to see him at Bayern....or better... Dortmund.

When pundits and fans say Ronaldo failed Juventus, I laugh. All you have to do is watch a Juventus match and you'll understand immediately that Juventus failed Ronaldo. Going to Serie A was the biggest mistake of his career. A league where they try to stop players from scoring rather than encourage players to score is not a league for the greatest goal scorer of all time. And cheers to him because he still managed to score over 100 goals in 3 years. In no way is that a failure.
The first Champions League match I ever watched was the 2003 final between AC Milan and Juventus - the most boring 0-0 draw in the history of football. So glad Ronaldo got the hell out of there. Man U Part 2 will be worthy of the Portuguese Man o War. Viva Ronaldo.

As a die hard Juventus fan I would say that he did not fail. Yes he was brought in to help us win UCL but in truth when cristiano came that first season was probably our best chance at winning UCL but unfortunately we lost to a young and good ajax team. After that we started selling crucial players because Ronaldo salary was starting to put a hole in the bank account and then we got rid of Allegri and that just ruined our whole system and we had to start from the bottom again and when u have a player like Ronaldo you have to win now not rebuild for the future. The real failure was our management and how we dealt with situations after Ronaldo coming. But now Ronaldo is gone, Allegri is back. Our team is young. The future is bright but right now it’s time to suffer but then sooner rather than later we’ll be back and hopefully be able to finally win UCL

I like the way u narrate and put your points .. that being said, the winning porto goal for which you blamed Schezny .. even cr7 was responsible as he did not defend the wall and as far as Juventus Cr7 union , the problem was always with the team set up .. CR7 needs players like Benzema who knits the midfield and fullbacks with offence .. Cr7 occupies the wing but he is not a traditional winger to keep running the whole flank and defend and feed crosses , he either cuts in and shoots or creates passing sequences with the other advanced players to get a clear chance, or else acts as centre forward/striker, a predator with supreme header skills.. one needs specific type of players and tactics to enhance his abilities... It just shows the importance of players like Benzema , Marcelo , Ozil , James for Cr7 to create a legendary status in Madrid , really curious to know if Manu is able to adapt to him

i can so relate to this i to am a proud Portuguese i love my people and mother land but Ronaldo makes me that much prouder to be Portuguese i have never been a person to idolize one man rather support a specific team which at the time was the best Portuguese team ever Sporting Ronaldo was the first athlete that i truly loved and cared about when he was sad i was sad for him as a kid he was who i wanted to be like when i grew up thats the reason i hate and get so mad at the majority of football pundits for some reason its filled with people that genuinely dissed like Ronaldo they cant wait for him to have a bad game so they can this respect him and discredit him and when he has an amazing performance which is more often then not you can see in their face that it absolutely pains them to complement his performance its disgusting and an absolute disgrace and on top of all that these pundits are Messi fanboys he could do no wrong to them every time his team loses and has a bad game its always his teammates or coach's for the team losing and him having a bad performance it is never he fault its absolutely appalling but the one special thing about Ronaldo aside from all the other special things is he uses his haters as motivation and 8/10 he shuts up his haters and make them eat their words also he is the most clutch athlete from any sport and history and its not even debatable the man absolutely thrives under pressure and is at his best he is the definition of G.O.A.T rant over #FORCAPORTUGAL

I don't care about Juventus BUT trying to make it look like all the other players are bums is unfair and just simply wrong.
Sure they're doing badly without him but the problem is how the managers handled the last 3 years: they shouldn't have ever bought him in the first place. Sure he made 100 goals but they had to build the team around him and it was too risky and too expensive for an italian team. The result is now they don't have a team at all.
On top of that, there are 2 more extremely important reasons that basically destroyed Juventus:
    1) they were getting Suarez but then the legal shitshow happened and they got Morata instead. That's huge.
    2) they changed 3 coaches in 3 years which I know it's normal nowadays but this really hurt them. I don't think either Sarri or Pirlo actually did that bad but the latter sure needed time to get things going and that was the difference from winning Serie A and losing it.
Again, in all honesty, Ronaldo is a really difficult resource to manage but if you see the situation as a whole I don't think it's a failure. They won the scudetto 2 times out of 3 and a couple of trophies. It's not much but it's honest work, right?
Last thing I will touch upon is the players they bought: the biggest disappointment is probably Ramsey but Rabiot is a close second... If not for the fact I still have some faith in him. Douglas Costa stayed in the team for far too long considering his health condition and Dybala spent most of his time being injured too. And well, I could go on but I think you got my point.

Interesting. Ronaldo is an all the time great but he is aging and he has holes into his game that maybe Juventus could not cope with. What do you think of Allegri? I think he is or at least was a great coach but he might have become too stuck into his ways to adapt and have become rusty.

    • @NatiPerPerdereNPP
      @NatiPerPerdereNPP 3 года назад +1

@@brunaciompi1717 I think Allegri was "happy" to leave after the arrival of Ronaldo. As I said, I think he was right about him all along. So Allegri coming back now is the best thing for Juventus, in my opinion. He has his limits but he has the trust of many of the players and I think it's very important right now.
Still, there's a huge mess going on so they will need time as a team, maybe even the whole season. They basically need to rebuild everything from the ground up and this takes a lot of time and effort. Things may get easier if Kean finds the much needed confidence as a striker.
Agnelli on the other hand shouldn't do the mistake of sacking Allegri again no matter how ugly the situation is going to get. And it's going to get worse before it gets better.
Let's say Szczesny isn't helping in this very delicate situation. Donnarumma going so PSG just to sit on a bench is a disgrace for Milan, Juventus and, as a result, for the italian football as a whole.

When I first saw Ronaldo in Manchester many years ago I have to admit I didn't like him. After watching him break incredible records over the years I started to realize how special he was and now I am in love with his football and all he has done for the sport.

I think they will struggle a lot until December, their calendar is really tough but then they'll bounce back and end up somewhere in the top 7, most likely 5th

No. Juventus failed because they ever hired Ronaldo in the first place. People keep forgetting that Juve was 8 time in a row champion at the time Ronaldo arrived at the club. He messed with team chemistry and it was all about him instead of the team. Also, Juve board let this happen and the rest is history. Ronaldo didnt fail for his own good, but he failed for the team good. It cant be always "me, me, me". Sometimes you have to be a part of team. He only came there because Juve was strong then.

Where were juve after cr7 left? It's not like cr7 came and juve lost the league cr7 won 31 points for juve. They lost the league straight after chiesa was signed but his name ain't cr7 so nobody gonna complain.
