" Days after a judge agreed to throw out his confession to murdering his sons, Chad Doerman has formally pleaded not guilty because of insanity. Doerman was arrested on June 15, 2023, after allegedly shooting and killing his three young sons outside of their Ohio home. He is charged with nine counts of aggravated murder, eight counts of kidnapping and four counts of felonious assault in the deaths of Clayton, 7, Hunter, 4, and Chase, 3. On March 15, Clermont County Judge Richard P. Ferenc granted a motion from Doerman’s defense seeking to throw out his confession after his arrest, ruling that his rights were violated. During the interrogation, Doerman asked for an attorney twice, but police continued to question him. Part of Doerman’s argument for having the interrogation tossed was his “mental condition” at the time, but in his decision granting the motion Judge Ferenc ruled that justification for the claim was insufficient, noting that no evidence of Doerman’s state of mind had been offered at the hearing or in filings. Judge Ferenc ordered a psychiatric evaluation to be conducted to assess Doerman’s condition at the time of the murders. On Wednesday, prosecutors in the case filed a motion for a jury view, which would mean the panel seated to hear the case would be brought to the Doerman home at some point during the trial." Poor Laura. There's NO Way I would want to live without my son. He is my life. All I heard her say was, "You took my life" and that's EXACTLY what Chad intended to do. He enjoyed inflicting that pain on her sitting around watching her as she tried to save her children's lives. There's no way I could survive this kind of pain mentally.

I live in this community. This video also didn't show that he was super worried about what would happen to his dog when he went to jail. Begging the police to take care of it. Now I'm all for caring for the dog but that doesn't seem like that should have been his biggest worry.

This is one of those rare cases where a confession being thrown out means nothing. He obviously did it. We don’t need him to confess. His family watched it happen. Confessing or not confessing is irrelevant in this case.

@@xxsamlovexx premeditated can mean you decided in the last minute to kill someone. Doesnt mean you planned it for months even if you did. Premeditated just means you made a conscious choice to kill. There was intent. The length of time the act was premeditated or planned isn't even relevant. Which is obvious in this case that there was intent/premeditation. We don't need his confession.

It’s his last little dig towards his poor wife (and daughter). He spared the Mom’s life so that she will now have to live the rest of her life in torture without her boys. Now, this is his last little dig; by now continuing in being a coward, he wants to recant his admission and plead not guilty; and I promise it’s so that he can watch her squirm and be tortured all over again reliving the gruesome, horrendous nightmare over a year later. He can’t for once do the right thing and plead guilty to skip the trial? He knows he’s going to prison for life either way, but this way, he can get one last little laugh in before going away. I hate him.

You forgot Lori Vallow. I just will never understand killing anyone let alone children your own children. When I was raising my kids yes they mad me mad but to abuse them or kill them never ever crossed my mind. Sometimes we all had to go to our rooms and take a breather but never ever thought I might even think if killing them. They were and still at 50 and 44 are still my babies.

Can't believe seasoned detective didn't read entire miranda, and continued to question him after he mentioned getting a lawyer several times. Chad is despicable & he should never see light of day.
They all had ptsd from seeing a bunch of dead kids all over the yard.
People think police are like robots. They're not allowed to get emotional. My father in law use to be a policeman. He quit the day he was helping with a car crash, seen a baby's brains all over the road, and had to tell the parents.
That police officer was a jerk, though. He knew what he was doing when he continued to question Chad. Chad had asked for a lawyer multiple times. This detective didn't even know the entire Miranda rights card. Chad should pay for what he did, but this detective looked like a cocky moron on the stand. I pray that those babies still get the justice they deserve despite a detective not knowing his job.
I Bet the cop was so full of emotions and threw out the rules just to get him to talk. I get it, but WTH he ended up screwing up the case!
It’s a small area and they don’t see cases like this. Cop may be a jerk but they have no experience with this. My job takes me in and out of the courthouse/jail he’s sitting in.

In such a case where so many people saw its almost criminal that the justice system can't overide this type of thing. So horrible.

He asked for a lawyer and didn't get one. The courts can't just let that slide and make up their own rules. If anything it's the fault of police.
I’m from Southern Ohio and I am pretty sure the jury will not be swayed by an insanity plea. This happened in a small community just outside of Cincinnati and there will be no excuses made for this heinous act.

My teenage daughter was murdered August 9th 2015, and just in my experience with the justice system regarding that, I don't feel there is hardly any justice in it at all with all of the "games" and ways to get around things that occur. If that makes sense? Sorry, I have a brain injury and sometimes I don't work things very well.

I’m all for a person having rights, but when the police dead ass watch you kill three children, I don’t believe that you should have the right to get a lawyer and try to wiggle your way out of it and manipulate. You lost your rights as a human when you took the lives of others. This is not a matter of embezzlement or some thing they need to investigate. all this is clear cut, and a lawyer will do nothing but try to let this man walk free. The last system has a great way of being backwards as hell.

As a wife and mother who lost a husband and 9year old daughter in a car accident, my heart is SHATTERED for this mother. It’s hard enough having the will to go on after losing one child, I can’t imagine losing multiple children and still finding the will to keep going. My 14 year old son survived the accident and I lived for him, so the rest of his life wasn’t about that one horrific day. That poor mother, babies, daughter and family. God bless them all.

The person isn't a demon. The demon is the unseen force behind the person who falls. Pray for his soul and that he truly repent. God wishes that all be saved. Oh my goodness, this happened so close to home right over in New Richmond - just outside of Cincinnati. I can barely finish reading articles and watching news stories. He actually CHASED his sons to shoot them one by one. It physically hurts to think about the terror those children felt. And their poor mother and sister! I still have no words for what he did.
The way he was so nonchalant upon being placed into custody is chillingly evil.
I was watching DutyRon awhile ago and I clearly rememeber a guest one his show mentioning he always used the card to read the rights to the person . 1. so he wont miss a part in the rights 2. when the card comes out all the other officers stay quiet so that it can be done properly. even a seasoned officer can miss a part. this is so tragic .
I find it disturbing that there are lawyers that would defend him and try to help his case in any way. Smh.

please consider covering the bizarre disappearance of Gage Daniel(6yrs old) and Chloie Leverette(8yrs old). Their grandparents had custody of both children. On September 23rd 2013 a blazing house fire was put out by firefighters. The burnt remains of the elderly couple were found down in the basement lying side-by-side on the concrete floor. The basement door
stayed locked at all times because that's where the man's tools were kept. The charred remains of their beloved dog were located, and even their little yellow parakeet. BIZARRELY NO remains of the children could be located at the scene, whatsoever. Investigators say that the only item missing from the home was a large safe. To this day Gage and Chloie have never been seen or heard from again. Please note that only 2 videos covering this case exist on RUclips!! You have so many subscribers that I know you can spread this case's information far and wife enough to potentially help solve this case!!

This happened 3 minutes from me. The whole community has been rocked to the core. This was the second tragedy where a family member took their families' lives, and children were involved. They had to put cameras up on the property to keep people off of it.
There has been tons of cases of family members taking another family members life. Not just the second....

I know how you're feeling. The Polk County Social Services of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin placed me into a sexually abusive foster care home where I was repeatedly raped by the foster Dad from three to seven years of age. My 52nd birthday is today. What makes me really angry is there's Statue of Limitations for these crimes. In Wisconsin a person who experienced sexual abuse as a child has until the age of 35 to file a civil lawsuit. Back in 2019 New York passed a brand new law called; The Child Victim's Act. Minnesota passed theirs in 2013. This proposed law for Wisconsin allows survivors of childhood sexual abuse up to three years to file civil lawsuits no matter the victims current age or how long ago the abuse happened. We need stronger laws to protect our future generations. No child should ever have to go through rape at just three years old!!!!!

That little girl is brave, she had a ride to get away from the situation but she refused so that she could stay and help her family. Poor kid is going to have a rough life if she doesn’t get some help.
Chad had his big boy pants on when he pulled the trigger on those 3 babies. He needs to continue wearing his big boy pants and tell the judge that a trial is not necessary.
Chad didn't just snap. He planned it out and followed through. He even told his stepdaughter to put the child down. I been following this story since the day it happened.
The start of what happened is how anyone can tell he is incredibly controlling. To tell his wife and 3 children to come with him now for a nap. I have kids, they wouldn't stop what they are doing to get into bed with me like that and I feel sure that mum had a thousand other things she could be doing.
That's what I was thinking. There must have been NUMEROUS controlling moments that his wife excused or turned a blind eye to not realizing it would escalate one day. Please protect your kids 😭😭

They dont need the confession
I think that the only reason why it would have been so important for the confession to be admissible is because he admitted that he had planned this for months and without it, his attorneys have a very real chance of convincing the jury that he just snapped which gives him a much better chance at parole someday and that is truly horrifying.
No, they still don't stand a chance of getting him off with or without an insanity excuse. They have lost this case before the judge can say, "Come to order." It is on record he tried to strangle his father. The neighbors will testify what a horrible monster he is. The mother and step daughter will testify to his past and to that day. If he told anyone he was planning this, right there would be a slam dunk. Him asking them to all go into the bedroom and go to sleep is premeditated. He knew he only wanted to shoot his bio sons and not his step daughter when he looked at her. He wanted his wife to live and suffer and pleading not guilty is also dragging this out to make her suffer even more.
Doubt there will be a chance for parole. Whether he just snapped or planned it out, he killed his 3 baby boys in cold blood and hunted them down through the neighborhood to make sure the job was done. Snapped or planned, there's no parole for this guy.

I’ve followed this very closely I love not too far from Claremont county and this case has me infuriated for these poor boys who got taken too soon and the step daughter who seen it all and for the mother this poor mother I cry just thinking about what she now goes thru. I can’t imagine how she’s feeling. I hope he gets put under the damn jail 6 feet under. Sickening

As a mother how the hell do you come back from something like this. Trying your best to save your 3 boys even fighting the ‘father’ holding one of them and even having your hand shot in the process but not being able to save them and watching all 3 of your babies die in front of you. I just can’t even imagine the amount of pain the mother must be in. And I just know that if it was me I don’t think I could come back from something like this. It is honestly just unbearingly heartbreaking and my whole heart and soul goes out to the mother. And I just pray she has the strength to go on and keep fighting as hard as it must be.
Losing one child is devastating enough. Let alone 3 young children. Ugh there are just no words for how vile and evil that monster is for doing this to his OWN DAMN KIDS. Doing it to any child is evil but I just think when it’s their own kids it’s a completely different level of evil.
This case is just soooo sad and sooo sick and evil, it honestly breaks my heart.
Yeah, and when she was trying to help one and urging the other to run, it's panic inducing just thinking about it. And then him saying "nothing" when the officer asked "what's going on man"!! Yeah, nothing going on in the evil cold heart.

I understand that he knew the best way to hurt her would be to kill her but to kill her children and do it in front of her and leave her to live on without them. Which there is just honestly no words to even come close to describe how vile and evil that is. I just don’t know how she is able to even get through the day after what he did. Because I only have one little boy and if my hubby took him from me like how he did to her I honestly don’t think I could go on. So my heart just absolutely breaks for the mother. She is gonna need so much help from everyone around her just so she can get through a day. Each day. For a very long time.
@@samwallaceofscotland yeah I know when I heard that I honestly teared up. The desperation she must have felt when tell them to run, not being able to save them. Knowing it’s their own father that is doing this. Ugh honestly this could not get any worse. And I just pray with every ounce of my being that the mother is able to find the strength to keep fighting and not let him win. As like someone else has commented he did this to hurt her the worst that he possibly could. So he wants to see her collapse and spiral and sink into depression etc etc. so if she is able to find the strength to keep fighting and somehow move on with her life it would be like the biggest F You to him. Cause that’s what he wants I hope she is able to not give him that.

This happened locally and I have avoided watching any shows about it bc it hit too close to home. I'm a DV survivor and I thought I could see people a bit more clearly but this completely shook me. Evil is everywhere.

I cannot imagine witnessing all my children getting murdered. I’m literally in tears for those children and that poor mom and sister. I truly cannot imagine.
I feel so bad for the momma. My heart can’t take it. Those babies were her whole world and it all just was ripped away from her. I pray she can find healing. As for the daughter, I feel terrible for her too.. I lost my brother recently and it was extremely traumatic I pray she finds healing and that God will make something beautiful happen for this family.
This happened 15 minutes away from me. I cried for a week for these boys. Heartbreaking.

If you actually think that's even a possibility you don't understand the legal system. We all know he killed them. Those cops were probably frantic, angry, upset beyond belief. If anything the cops may get reprimanded for not following procedure. But Chad's not getting out of jail for literally hunting his 3 kids down just because the cops didn't read his Miranda rights fully or give him a lawyer right away. We all know Chad is guilty. There's no getting out for him...
Omg the way this brought me to tears. The mom saying "you took my life from me"! I just cried for her and those babies. I can not even imagine. I feel the same way aboit my kids. They're my life. I would just be done with life, I'd have no reason to live. This broke my heart. Poor babies. Poor momma.🙏😭

My families structure is the same.. My husband and I have 3 little boys together, and I have a 14 year old daughter that my husband has helped raise since she was 3. When I first heard about this horrific murder, it felt like my stomach was ripped out right along with my heart. All I could think of was how I would feel in that mother’s place. And the complete terror those precious babies endured during their last moments. This world is so cruel y’all, hug your loved ones tightly.

The awful part about the confession getting kicked out is that he stated that he had been planning this for months! Proving he didn't "snap", he wasn't momentarily insane. Completely unprovoked, he chose to murder his precious babies in cold blood to the point that he literally hunted 2 of them down. After Hunter, he could have stopped. He had a lot of time between the first little boy & the last 2. He even had time to reload. At any point he could have stopped, but made the conscious decision not to.
That poor Mama & daughter. How can someone ever recover from something like that? Obviously therapy, but there isn't enough therapy in the world for what they experienced & saw that day. First responders as well. This is one of the most evil disturbing cases I've seen. I cried throughout this whole video. I would have given anything to be able to have children & this jackass annihilated all 3 of his beautiful babies.😭😭😭
