UOB Malaysia launches The Business Circle

We are proud to announce the launch of The Business Circle in Malaysia, an initiative to help prepare the next-generation leaders of Asia’s family-led firms to run their businesses and fast-track growth.
In conjunction with the launch, we curated a two-day programme to enable peer learning, knowledge-sharing, and networking. The programme consisted of an Industry Visit to Pet World International, an Executive Learning Forum, and a Launch Dinner, with a focus on the current critical business drivers - Sustainability, Regional Expansion, and Digitalisation.
At the Executive Learning Forum, Tan Sri Sir Dr Jeffrey Cheah KBE AO, Founder and Chairman of Sunway Group shared his experience in building a business that thrives across generations. This was followed by a panel session featuring CY Lim, Group CEO of Yinson Holdings Berhad, Steven Yeah, CEO of ValueMax Singapore and Phuay Li Ying, Managing Director of PlanetSpark Pte Ltd (Singapore), where the next-generation leaders shared their growth strategies, and how they turn the challenges they faced into opportunities.
At the Launch Dinner, UOB Malaysia CEO, Ng Wei Wei, moderated a dialogue with YB Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry Malaysia who gave his insights on Malaysia’s growth opportunities.
