i much prefer to see a rough n ready RS1800 being used than a concourse one that sits in a garage and gets trailered the RS day and thats it for the year. Proper that is!
Nice to see RS1800 a friend of mine had two RS1800 as well as a RS200 but sadly they were all in various states of restoration. None of the cars were finished before he passed away god rest his soul
Wow what a collection of great cars Stuart has , and a nice fella too 👍🏻 that Rs 1800 ❤ well done mate on another cracking video I love these when you go for visits to peoples homes etc and check out there cars 👍🏻👍🏻
What a video and what a down to earth guy!!!!!! If I won the lottery I would turn up at his and take it all!!!!what a amazing collection!!! He has it all. Proper dream stuff there mate!!!! I would just live in the garage and never go home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@marcushayesford dream collection!!!! What he has is more than a dream !!! It’s just everything you have ever wanted! To have what he has and still be so down to earth is amazing. There are people who would give up everything to just own one of his cars!!! You need to do more videos on this fella as this collection is amazing and you need to follow the progress on those cars and if you have him working on your motors I take it there is big things coming on this channel!!! By the way please don’t swap Cat and roger!!!!!!!! A car will never make a better cup of tea than Cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I can't believe how few were made ! I think the stock rating was 115hp, per Richard Hammond's Video. Can't believe also that they were alloy block !!
@19:45 that face one pulls when they are living their best life........ Great video Marcus and Kat. Thanks
Top video, it's crazy to think that the basic price of a rs1800 new was less than a rs2000 new. Now look at the price difference 😂
Proper piece of kit and the rest cheers

Thats unfortunate your friend never finished them. Really cool to think he owned almost 2% of all the RS1800s ever made tho. 👍
I live local to this garage and I've seen the SD1 that was in the workshop probably about 20 times
Great video Marcus some amazing cars there thanks sharing with us 👍
Thanks for watching mate! 👍
What a treat to get a run in the RS1800 😎 great content as usual👍
Proper old school garage with a clever man running it thanks for sharing Marcus.
Stuart is a very clever bloke. He's owned so many interesting cars over the years. 👍
Love the RS1800! Some sound track from that engine too
Cant beat the sound of a BDA!! 😍
@@marcushayesford Save those pennys up and get one fitted into the MK1 😎😎
I had some weird flashback of going on holiday as a kid at 17:30 !!!
My mum had a Mk2 back in the day but I cant remember it. 👍
Fabulous sound from the rs1800 nice to see one not over restored and used
I'm shocked to see an RS1800 being driven.

Its such an awesome collection! 👍
Quality video mate, the classic bda engine...where Cosworth got serious...and the basics of this engine going on to power the legendary bdg RS200👍👍
Love the RS 1800, I had to smile though, covering his face for breaking the speed limits, but showing two unrestrained passengers in the back.
Great video, amazing cars. RS1800 dream car and also E type is on the list.
Yes the E-Type is going to be an awesome car when its done. Stuart has big plans to do it properly 👍

nice collection of really cool cars 😊
There is some money just sitting around that yard what a collection 👌
Certainly more fun than money sitting in a bank..
I remember that Yellow RS RAA one of the first YB Powered Mk 2's in the late 90's at The Pod epic car great collection too
One of them blokes who start things and never finishes 😂 look stood for years already 😢
Now that Stuart is in the motor trade he has to put the business before his own projects. 👍
One of them blokes who criticises those who are doing well to feel better about themselves
I remember the mk2 cossie from the ace 🍩
Yep back in the good old days!! 👍
Great video mate as always 👍
awesome car collection. marcus have you heard anything lately from chris kember ? hope he is doing ok
I spoke to him briefly recently online. He's doing ok as far as I know. A man as skilled as him will always be ok. 👍
Awesome hope he can get them all done 👍🏽
Impressive collection and top bloke 👍
The days we visited Mike Youngs in Ilford to look over the cars, a lottery win I would buy an RS1800 first over any other car.
17 years ago I knocked 1 back for 7.5k. I kick myself every 3 or 4 days.
The lad was running it as his daily
Some seriously cool cars there mate 👌
thot these were 115 bhp out the factory for road use and the rs 2000 were 110
Crazy to think how de-tuned the BDA is in a road car. 👍
nice collection of motors there. how come ive never heard of these guys being so local as well. Marcus we will have to have a road trip down there when mines eventually on the road
Defo mate! 👍 Would have been cool to get yours next to the non Escort shaped TVR! 😃
Amazing car s 😊
The RS 1800 is one beautiful car
Defo Wayne! 👍
I remember a fella with a BDA escort when i was an apprentice mechanic at brooklands college in weybridge. That was in 1980 though 🙂
If only we could still buy them for 1980 prices! 😃
Great collection but ashame to leave them outside.
They don't live outside. 👍
Sleep with one eye open Marcus. Cat will get you back 😂
Or maybe she will buy me an RS1800 so I can have my cake AND eat it??? 🤔
@@marcushayesford 🤣🤣🤣
Awesome group of Fords. RS1800 heaven
👍
RS1800 . 😎
😃
Is that colour of cossie not a Monte Carlo 😮😮
No defo not Monte Carlo. Looked almost black in the shop. 👍
Don't mind him, cat.😂
I would have taken the RS1800 home and made sure it was safe and then I would have came back to re-kidnap Cat. 😃
Asbestos roofed workshop. Sweeet
As long as you don’t start cutting it or breaking it up what’s going to happen?
@@peterolley7159 The dust and residue sticks to the underneath side then it gets heavy enough to drop particles.
RS1800 :D
😃
Workshop needs tidying badly
A messy workshop is a busy workshop! 👍
Awesome rare as rocking horse poop!!
RS1800 the most sexiest car ever made in my opinion
