It could be a number of things. are you using the correct thread for the fabric you are sewing? good quality thread? sometimes if there are tension issues, it will cause thread to break.
@TK SEWING MACHINE AND REPAIR when ever I use Myne I just makes lots of thred on the under side of what I'm sowing. I've watched sooo many videos now and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong or if it's the machine "I found it in a skip 😅 " it all looks to work and there's not a scratch on it. But I can't stop it from bunching. P.s thanks soooo much for replying to my comment I really appreciate it.
The lever goes all the way up for backtack. Take the screw off of the light shield from the front. If you cant get the bulb out or back in, most of these models have a screw that holds the whole light assembly from the back. You can remove that screw if you need more room for your fingers.
I tried to follow along but your hand covers up some key moments. Is the bobbin thread clockwise or counter clockwise off the bobbin? I can’t seem to find a guide for the thread to go thru. I also couldn’t see the part getting it over the hook/under the spring. Any tips?
I believe that the thread goes over the top bobbin. There should be a guide on the bottom right corner of your machine. I can see mine on the thumb nail of this video. Hope that helps!!
My 357K is a total workhorse and I love her. I call her Proud Mary because her big wheel keeps on turning.
Just impulse bought one of these for 50 euros in a second hand shop and your video makes me very excited to try it later on!!

Does this machine have a reverse-to-back stitch? Also how do you get the light out to replace it? Thanks!!
