I'm still wondering why tv channels don't show tennis matches with a groundstroke view. Way better to realize how good tennis players are, way more impressive
Mischa is a big guy (for tennis). Reminds me of the bigger build of players in the 90s in contrast to the more lithe and slight build of today's top ten players. Love watching the camera angles from this lower level from the crowd, a better observation of the player's styles and strokes. Thank you for sharing your video!
Really Roger's tennis is very beautiful. I respect him coz I like playing tennis so much i hope someday i'm able to play like him style... maybe it's impossible things...😭
2017: Even defensive shots went to the side lines 2018: Defensive shots going to the center so it's easier to attack Federer. Roger needs to fix that defensive problem, start to taking the ball earlier and play closer to the baseline.
I hope you aren't basing this on this match because mischa has some of the worst ground strokes in pro tennis and Roger has beat him 60 60 so Roger feels not pressured by his game
Unless you see it as an opportunity to open the court no matter the other guy places the ball, if the ball goes to the middle, automically the shot from the opponent will open the court and slowly will create space
I never watch TV camera tennis on youtube anymore. This is the only way to go for players who want to improve their game and really see what's going on.
Yes, I played a pro-am in Stuttgart once but only doubles. I played with Toni Nadal so it was fun and I actually enjoyed it. But I can understand why some players don't like it.
Blazy Molds He was definitely rusty after three months without matches...he should be fine by Wimbledon...I think he might not win Stuttgart, but Halle and possibly Wimbledon too.
If you knowtice and make some research about Rogers opponents then you wouldnt need to ask such questions. Mischa Zverev is well know for volley player and likes to go to the net... and if you play yourself tennis higher level you will know that such player put you under much of pressure as they come at front and close the court. So what one does is lop or passing shot but that isnt that easy so such kinda players like Mischa are a hard nut because they are all the time at the net and make you play prescision passing shots or good lobs otherwise if not one hasnt any kind of chance against such difficult players. Besides yes maybe Roger is bit rusty ... but dont forget hes king on grass...
Tennis nerd you did a good job editing and showing us how much rust Roger gets away with and still wins... I think it goes to show that great players know how to win through strategy and mental dominance rather than shot selection, and they find a way to win by getting a lot of returns and serves in which is something you don't notice if you don't look for the stats... Apart from aesthetics and execution, I consider Djokovic to be the best player for digging deep balancing consistency and intensity. Federer has a way more beautiful game maybe as a result of being a bit stubborn... And that's what keeps him playing the way he does so he shouldn't change that... Also I think Djokovic is not even half as interesting as the way he used to play when he was younger and more about hitting winners from the baseline.
oscar cano Quite the opposite. It shows how actually easier is to play here than on a clay or hard court. That's why players like Dustin Brown can upset the likes of Rafa Nadal...
99% of the world’s courts are not grass. Not sure why they even play any tournaments on grass anymore. I get the tradition and ascetic as much as anyone, but still...
I refuse to watch tennis because of the high angle camera. You get no sense of speed, pace of the match. And no perspective of the high amount of top spin players use. It's hard to believe with todays technology the networks have managed to make tennis unwatchable.
EPILEPSY WARNING! Some people CAN get triggered when watching shaky footage 3:27 . Please add this to the top of the description and/or pin this comment!
Sean Kim, looks like you haven’t watched tennis for that long. Back in the day, there was no such thing as serving, then playing on the baseline. Literally every player volleyed after serving. Playing on the baseline after serving was unheard of. Reason why? It creates pressure on the player who returns it, and there are more chances of winning the game if you serve and volley. Imagine having a 115-130mph ball heading towards, barely being able to put your racquet in front of the ball, only to realise that your opponent is already at the net, and you watch him smash your weak return. You’re grateful that Federer is one of the most best returners of the game. Federer is that good at returning, that he can probably see Mischa come down to the net, while the ball is coming towards him at 115-130mph, and pick where to hit. You don’t see that kind of skill in many players.
why on all German tournaments they put on these ridiculous advertising items, like a "Zillertal" Umpire Stand? Have seen a BobbyCar Umpire Seat in Nurnberg (WTF) etc... Tennis is a beautiful sport, especially on grass, let's put this crappy stuff away, imagine Wimbledon would look like this
LOL!!!! The video isn't in proper sequence of the actual match. The score on the scoreboard moves forward, backward, forward, backward. 1st set, 3rd set, 2nd set, 3rd set, 1st set.... Really poor editing, you just show random points you managed to get good video of. And some points are trash unforced error points, this isn't a "highlights" video. Change the name of your video to "Federer Great Courtside" or something.
SCI8InDy I’ve seen him quite a few times live and he seemed rusty this time. After all, three months without match play. The racquet is the same, just some white paint on the sides...
SCI8InDy no, lacked movement around the court compared with first 6 months of 2017, poor defensive shots, playing almost 25 or 30 cm more behind baseline compared with 2017, and now he doesn't take the ball early like 2017.
I'm still wondering why tv channels don't show tennis matches with a groundstroke view. Way better to realize how good tennis players are, way more impressive
jbkamehameha
Or use it as a combination .
Cause u can’t display all the ads ina eye catching way
? Quite the opposite.
jbkamehameha because that’s what people pay for. If they showed this angle on tv, nobody would go to the matches!
@GTS absolutely wrong.
Amazing view thanks for sharing
Super Star Thanks!
100% agree with your comment about the terrible birds-eye view the networks give us. Thanks for recording and sharing!
Thanks!
Great spot you have got there. Have never seen Roger in that angle, so up close and personal. Thanks mate.
Yes, tennis is different up close!
Yeah, it's nice to see some serve-and-volley! He is a difficult opponent, especially on grass.
Really Roger's tennis is very beautiful. I respect him coz I like playing tennis so much i hope someday i'm able to play like him style... maybe it's impossible things...😭
Best court view I’ve seen thanks!
Such a great angle. And so close. You can really see how Fed’s positioning shrinks the court
this is a great angle with great quality - nice upload :O
Federer's game is artistry from any angle. A genius with his magic wand
Love this angle!!! Wish the networks would show it like this!!!
I agree!
Vielleicht das beste Video auf RUclips. Vielen Dank dafür.
Vielen dank, Scott!
This looks similar to Queens Club. Crowd is really close. Never seen Roger live. Thank you for showing!
0:15
One of my favorite shots in the tennis
I would pay for a view like this. Thank you for sharing.
Incredible tennis, thank for posting !!!
You're actually right
My pleasure!
The vid quality is brilliant. Well done
Thanks a lot!
Superb angle!
And thank you for editing
Amazing. Thank you
Roger Federer 3 6 6
Mischa Zverev 6 4 2
Federer end up beating him 2:1 ..for the people who wants to know who won ;) You're welcome !
2017: Even defensive shots went to the side lines
2018: Defensive shots going to the center so it's easier to attack Federer.
Roger needs to fix that defensive problem, start to taking the ball earlier and play closer to the baseline.
I hope you aren't basing this on this match because mischa has some of the worst ground strokes in pro tennis and Roger has beat him 60 60 so Roger feels not pressured by his game
If the shots are deep and to the center, the opponent can't create angles
Unless you see it as an opportunity to open the court no matter the other guy places the ball, if the ball goes to the middle, automically the shot from the opponent will open the court and slowly will create space
Great angle, well done for this.
Thanks!
I never watch TV camera tennis on youtube anymore. This is the only way to go for players who want to improve their game and really see what's going on.
PS. Thank-you for posting this excellent video.
Great angle.Love it:)
Darren Lebeau Thanks! How tennis should be watched...
This is fantastic !!!
Have you ever played on grass? I did and it was horrible. Ball doesn’t bounce at all when you play with a weaker hitter.
Yes, I played a pro-am in Stuttgart once but only doubles. I played with Toni Nadal so it was fun and I actually enjoyed it. But I can understand why some players don't like it.
james lahyano I played at the Saddlebrook Resort and training center in near Tampa FL.
maccajoe I understand that, but the ball didn’t even bounce above my shoe laces.
Wow! What an angle!!!!
Has Roger been making too many mistakes recently? Hope he will find his game in Wimby
Blazy Molds He was definitely rusty after three months without matches...he should be fine by Wimbledon...I think he might not win Stuttgart, but Halle and possibly Wimbledon too.
Probably just getting used to matches now. He surly get better.
He has won Stuttgart :)

good vid! great angle! thanks! subd!
darbocity Thanks!
Nice video ! To avoid shaking, you can use stabilization mode of your smartphone ;-)
Creo que subían a la red
His tennis just a beautiful.
It doesn't matter he get
win or loss.
Fed does not wait for winner shots. He creates it
This video shows how difficult is to play on grass. Great video, thanks for sharing.
oscar cano Quite the opposite. It shows how actually easier is to play here than on a clay or hard court.
That's why players like Dustin Brown can upset the likes of Rafa Nadal...
ok, I probably used an incorrect word, need to change the word difficult for different.
oscar cano No problem dude 😉
Buki Shabi nope grass is wat harder, have u ever played tennis?
@@bujarshabaj7212 It's not easier, just different. Talent and skills matter more than physicality, the opposite occurs on clay.
best video and filming angle!!! :)
Are there any chances to provide me the full video? I'll appreciate a lot.
Best regards,
Thanks! Replied to you on my Facebook page.
Y does feder use the black raqueta instead of the white
Exelent serve and volley
6:27 what an awesome volley
Yeah, great view! Court looks small 😂
I would watch tennis if the TV cam was like this.
Beautiful view. What camera?
It's a Lumix GX800: amzn.to/2sZcnli - great value for money!
Earthquake at 3:26, jk great vid
Haha, guess my arms got tired! Next time: Tripod.
Hey, how did you film it? 1080p and 60 fps? Thanks bro
Yes, 1080p and 60 fps with a Panasonic Lumix GX850 amzn.to/2weVHH6
Andy Murray sitting on the right ?
How much is a tichet there?
They make tennis look so Easy. Roger is just a great player man he is the most consistent player in my opinion!
Federer is moving smooth in that game
from this angle it really shows how difficult tennis is
Agree!
magical racket
Roger's outfit 🔥🔥🔥
Roger's new racket is pretty good
It's actually the same with a new paint job: tennisnerd.net/gear/racquets/roger-federers-new-racquet/8139
球速えっぐ
5:47 自分用
A real grass tournament where players have to make adjustment to the surface
99% of the world’s courts are not grass. Not sure why they even play any tournaments on grass anymore. I get the tradition and ascetic as much as anyone, but still...
When you see FedEx at a fed game
凄すぎる
even in germany fight against german player, federer get all attention of fans, great
Video should be retitled: "Roger Federer forehand shank compilation"
😂
Great video but wtf is this edit ????
This angle looks bad. Try from the side more.
new racquet paint!
Exactly! tennisnerd.net/gear/racquets/roger-federers-new-racquet/8139
if you play the video in 0.75 you can speed Roger playing in a non robotic speed
Federer has a new racket hasn’t he ?
I’m not mad!!!!
It's the same racquet but a new paint job! tennisnerd.net/gear/racquets/roger-federers-new-racquet/8139
Why does Misha continually serve to Fed‘s forehand is a mystery to me.
I refuse to watch tennis because of the high angle camera. You get no sense of speed, pace of the match. And no perspective of the high amount of top spin players use. It's hard to believe with todays technology the networks have managed to make tennis unwatchable.
Mischa needs to switch to a Sampras 85, lol.
Wahnsinn der Unterschied . Zverev bei jedem Schlag mit Angst.
It’s no sverev
this is not 2018 for sure!
When is it then?
Olá boa noite cheguei deixei meu joinha tenho vídeo novo
2:55 Oh fuck!!
I like the audience
The only Spanish player that moves forward and volleys
Nothing wrong with that black and white racket
EPILEPSY WARNING! Some people CAN get triggered when watching shaky footage 3:27 . Please add this to the top of the description and/or pin this comment!
Good point. I added a comment and I have also cleaned this up in another video.
Yeeehees 😂😂😂 are you for real
フェデラーめっちゃ滑らか
i would hate to play against federer but not because he is good, because the crowd gets dissapointed if i win and about 100x happier if he wins :/
こう見るとミーシャズベレフって弱いなって思うけど実際球どれぐらい速いんやろって思うわ笑笑
I don’t get Mischa’s serve and valley play. He does that on every serve why why why? No fun to watch

Federer has a new racquet! GOGOGO BUY!
It’s the same ProStaff 97. It only has a different paint job.
Roger didn't play well with that racquet
Why is he strange in his game? and he often pull his pants.
maybe, the new racket.right?
SCI8InDy I’ve seen him quite a few times live and he seemed rusty this time. After all, three months without match play. The racquet is the same, just some white paint on the sides...
maccajoe do you think he didn't play in those months 😂 he practiced a lot, just lacks match rhythm

Hope he fix all this issues to play at the best way as possible in the whole US Open Series.
Dang!! Roger Federer needs to chill!!
Am I the only one hearing that stupid sound on the right speaker? Sounds like someone taking a drag off a vaper.
Mischa is a kid
the only thing grass is good for is feeding the cow's.
Al Jordan no. feeding you
Chino Ríos words. Understandable, he was dogshit on grass.
Nul. Too much errors. Not a beautiful game.
Mischa is awful how is he even professional
