Tat could've gone wrong very fast, I went to college in Patterson(a town just like or worse than Newark) & I got treatened by my suitmate and heard a girl ran at another girl with a knife. I saw the police. This might be why that baby sitters club author made a fictional town called Sea City instead of using Wildwood & Surf City for the vacation parts.

I actually had a similar experience like this before. So basically, me my mum, and my two cousins went to an hotel last year for Christmas waiting for some more of my cousins and aunts to come, and we were all just chilling in the room until someone randomly started knocking on the door like AGGRESSIVELY, so obviously me and my cousins were terrified. Then my mum called security, and it was just a drunk woman just roaming around the hotel. So my mum decided to leave the hotel and go to a different one bcuz she wanted us to be safe.

Tip: whenever you go to a hotel make sure the mirrors aren’t two sided, you can do this by putting your nail up to the mirror and if there is a gap it is one sided, if no gap, it’s a two way mirror. That means that someone can watch you through the mirror without you knowing. The longer your nail, the more noticeable it is. And I think you can also use your phone camera with the flash on but I’m not completely sure how that works.

In the reviews someone said a stranger walked into their room while they were sleeping but isn't it common sense to lock your door when you get in a hotel ?
If the door not auto locked or the auto lock doesn't function very well, yes you must lock your door manually.

i had similar experience, basically my mother booked a hotel room from this really weird app which i didn't have good feeling about but she said it was alright and the room was cheaper in the that app. i kept telling her to book it from a known app ( like trivago ) but she no. we went to the hotel, was outside the city and looked like it was there 100+ years. i said to her to cancel the booking she again said no, went inside the staff wasn't there. waited 10 minutes then two-three men came. still got a weird feeling, since it was me and my mother only the trip i felt unsafe. they showed us to our room, it was highest level, the hallway looked like those from a mental asylum, we went to our room. it was covered in mould, there were no ammenties nor was there any sunlight. it looked like cell more than hotel room. we demanded for a new room, they refused and my mother debated with them for a few minutes. finnally gave us a "suite" room. it was terrible as well. we got fed up and just left the hotel. later on i checked the reviews, many people said that the staff tried to break into their rooms. thank God we left that hotel
