    I think Shelia being upset in this video isn't because of what she did to Skylar, it's because she knows she's gonna be in prison for the rest of her life. You can tell she's one twisted individual.

      During the sentencing of the other girl, they described that they stabbed her in the neck, puncturing her airway, which made a strange sound (air coming out of the wound as she was trying to breathe) and they "stabbed her until the sound stopped". Evil.

      Dont feel sorry for them, they sign up for this job. Why you may ask, because defense lawyers make the biggest money and can often find fame with big cases. They carry a big ego in getting these evil fucks back on the street as a job!! They take the job knowing they will defend baby beaters, baby killers, baby rapists, murderers, serial killers the most evil of the evil and most will truly be guilty but the paycheck is oh so good and even if they lose great they dont care, they still have the money and guilty go to jail. Then if they get them off then well hey they wont be on my doorstep to murder me, I helped free them. They are scum. Theres so many lawyer jokes but the one that sticks with me the most is the one about all things that appear alive have a heart except zombies, jellyfish and lawyers. Dont pity them they are under the belief you are innocent until you are bankrupt, then they dont give another shit about you. Murderers or anyone who pleas guilty to a violent crime should immediately be taken outside and burned at the stake or televised electric chair. The jail is too full, did you hear that? This monster gets to go back to cushy baby jail because the jail is too full. Too full of these monsters tax payers house, feed, educate, work out, make friends, watch tv, free healthcare and dentistry, get a free ride for life while little Skylar rotted away and was ripped apart by animals. We as people will pay for these killers to live a cushy life with no stresses. Basically a better life than a grounded kid has it. There would be plenty of room in jails to turn them into something else to offer all those things to the homeless, the elderly, to battered women and children, to veterans if they would clean house and get rid of all the scum sitting there wasting tax dollars while families will never see loved ones again. These people defend these monsters, help them get plea deals, help lessen their offenses its despicable. Defense attorneys should only exist to defend people who are truly possibly innocent or to possible rehabilitating type of behaviors. These fucks who admit to this evil, straight to death they have no place breathing air another minute. That bitch killed that baby after spending vacation with her, then didnt they say one went to prom before they were arrested? How any of the lawyers that even try and defend these monsters sleep at night is beyond me.

      @@JMac-27 it's not that complicated. It's a job and they know their defendant is guilty~ but everyone is due legal representation, a fair trial and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Most times, the defense counsel's job is to try to keep the defendant from getting the DP or minimize the prison sentence as much as then can. Defense Attys are not bad people.

    Sheila was Skylar's long time friend, so she is more evil than Rachel. She shows NO remorse. At least Rachel cried some while the victim's impact statements were read.

    • @BellaGoth12
      @BellaGoth12 9 лет назад +34

      Rachel is so remorseful that she had someone brag that she is going to get out in 10 yrs with good behavior on twitter. There was also the "I was scared part" and her apologizing to everyone(teachers, cousins, Jesus). Rachel Shoaf is a high school actress.

    • @Jimmy911ism

      You can be sad without crying. She would feel terrible for Skylar and her relatives, but she also knows she's going to be punished severely. What they did was so awful, so it makes sense she's less human. Remorse is important, but it should only be a mitigating factor, not add or subtract decades to a sentence.

    Just seeing Mr. Neese return to sit next to his wife and break down like that did something to me... I can't even imagine the hurt the entire Neese family is enduring still to this very day. It could have all been avoided. Just two evil, cold-hearted and selfish girls with no regard for life at all. Skylar was just so beautiful... Her life was only beginning and the irony of her "friends" to end it so suddenly is truly sickening. My heart is truly broken by this.

I know it in no way makes up for what they did but the fact that Shelia Eddy never said anything the entire time and pretended she didn't know anything about Skylar's disappearance just shows what a monster she is. I don't know how anyone could live with themselves after doing what they did, but she acted like nothing happened and I believe that if Rachel didn't break down Shelia wouldve been able to keep that secret forever

      It's horrendous of monumental proportions what happened. The only credit Rachel deserves, I guess, is that she finally came forward and told the police what happened. Like you said if she had not done that this case would have gone unsolved for years until perhaps somebody discovered the body. Even then there would not have been enough evidence to convict these 2 of murder. It still doesn't make up the fact that she had the audacity to mourn with the family and hand out flyers. Had Pennsylvania also prosecuted these 2, cause the murder did happen in there jurisdiction, they would be facing the death penalty. The only reason why the death penalty was not an option in this case is because West Virginia abolished it in 1965.

    • @moonstruck1022
      @moonstruck1022 9 лет назад +14

      I guess the thing that bothers me the most, besides the horrible thing they did to that beautiful little girl, is that they never gave a reason for what they did. I know they said it was because they didn't like her. People have speculated that it's because Shelia and Rachel were lesbians, but that just doesn't seem like something that was a life ruining secret. Skylar stood up for gays all the time, she wouldn't let two people she cared about be persecuted for that. I just hop one day one of them finally give a reason, no matter how ridiculous it is.

Also, Rachel and Shiela were worried that secrets that they had would get out because of Skylar, If they just didn't wanna be friends with her, they coulda just told her that and left her alone and wouldnt have been in this situation. Remorseless monsters they are. R.I.P. Skylar.

      For those that don’t know. She is eligible for parole in 15yrs. This is not a release from prison. Assuming good behavior, most inmates can apply for parole after serving 25% to 75% of their sentence. The parole board makes the decision. They will ask her questions about the crime and she will have to show true remorse. Many rarely get released especially if the crime was heinous. She will most likely be in prison for life or released when she is old like Leslie Van Houten. One of the women in the Charles Manson family. She was in prison 53yrs

      I agree, a person like this is however wired very differently (certainly not justifying the crime) and is certainly completely devoid of the same mental, emotional thought patterns which ensures we have compassion, guilt, empathy and such like. Thus, a person like this only swims in their own idealistic, egotistical lake of grandiosity. She will have passing thoughts of the action but it serves no prescience or function thus her mind will detach these as well as all associated actions from memory/ at least in conscious awareness. A very deep seated sociopathic/psychopathic valet of traits much like Ted Bundy, and similar criminals.

      I find it just crazier in this situation as it's a teenage girl (& her accomplice) . Like, you had your whole life in front of you on basically easy mode, neither of the girls were unattractive enough that they couldn't have taken advantage of it, and they weren't some abused, poverty stricken layabouts on hard drugs involved in crime, or some young guy/gal who lost their mind, or over some turbulent domestic violence situation, or something related in gang violence, or whatever other reasoning for most cases. I know evil comes in all shapes and sizes but...
      They literally ruined their entire life over something so easily preventable, all because of teenage drama. Even if it was the case it was some lesbian triangle (IIRC Sheila came onto Skylar sexually at Myrtle beach just before the murder), or the relationship had broken down entirely, even that alone feels wild considering how often that is happening all over and doesn't result in murder. Sure, this could be the case for other situations like this, but that aspect of it is so incomprehensible to me.
      To go from happy-go-lucky middle of the road easy life living to murder and life sentences is just such a weird juxtaposition.

Had they not done this odious crime, they would have grown up to be awful adults and terrible spouses and parents.

      Somewhat, I know they say evil comes in all shapes and sizes, and it's true -- generally outgoing, attractive girls have it the easiest at school, they weren't really bullied or anything to lead to those sorts of thoughts, so it's a surprise when they do something like this just because how we've been conditioned socially.
      That's what I find crazier in this situation as it's a teenage girls, and they were pretty popular. Like, they had their whole life in front of them on basically easy mode, neither of the girls were unattractive enough that they couldn't have taken advantage of it, Sheila was already doing that with older guys and getting away with it (which ties in with your point), and they weren't some abused, poverty stricken layabouts on hard drugs involved in crime, or some young guy/gal who lost their mind, or over some turbulent domestic violence situation, or something related in gang violence, or whatever other reasoning for most cases. I know evil comes in all shapes and sizes but...they were basically the furthest you'd think from being murderers in that cold blood.
      They literally ruined their entire life over something so easily preventable, all because of teenage drama. Even if it was the case it was some lesbian triangle (IIRC Sheila came onto Skylar sexually at Myrtle beach just before the murder and it freaked Skylar out that seemed to be the nail in the coffin for finally deciding on doing it), or even if the relationship had broken down entirely, even that alone feels wild considering how often that is happening all over and doesn't result in murder. Sure, this could be the case for other situations like this and murder has also occurred, but that aspect of it is so incomprehensible to me. How someone can go from so chilled, relaxed, having an easy life enjoying vague teenage things and only pushing the boundaries as teenage girls do but not being involved in anything serious, to actually do doing that.
      The juxtaposition is what makes the case so strange and eerie to me. Nothing really seems to be a bad trigger. No like crazy backstory, no violence previously, none of them were bullied, it was as normal as normal could be, and by most peoples experiences, they probably had a better time of it in school than your average to unfortunate people. And still they did it. Unnerving, specially as a Dad of a 2 year old little girl. RIP Skylar

She's worse but must behave better. She probably won't be allowed to drink alcohol, may have to remain employed, may have a curfew.. will also have to tip-toe around for fear of getting arrested.
      If the tariff is life, then it should be 40-life at least. 15-life is bizarre.. it is saying "this person is so evil and did something so bad that they go to prison potentially for life.. but if they behave well then we'll possibly let them out in 15 years."
      My sentence is 35-40. Given her age at the time and the severity and her victim's lack of deserving to be killed, 35-40 sounds right.

    Killing their friend in the most horrible fashion, stabbing her to death, hearing her last dying words "why?", then going amongst her family and not showing any signs of regret or true remorse. And these were females. Killing in such a cold hearted fashion, seeing tghe look of pain and horror in the young lady's life, and then going about like nothing happened. I never heard of this case until recently. It really disturbs me. The other murderer, Rachel, only showed signs of being terrified that she would get caught.

    I don't understand the point of having a defense attorney or public defender for a murder case. Something like murder can't have a defense and dosent deserve a lighter sentence. You KILLED someone. You took someone's LIFE. You can't defend that. You can't fight for that.

    • @marylucey1734
      @marylucey1734 4 года назад

      I guess technically you might be able to if it was in self defense although that obviously was not the case here at all. They killed her for arbitary fake bullshit reasons the fact that there isnt a real defining motive and even if there had been it still wouldn't have justified them taking her life. But I agree her attorney if he had any sense probably was told both by the police and prosecutor about how her and Rachel said they killed her because they no longer liked her and wanted to be her friend but were afraid she would divulge the "lesbian sex secret between her and Rachel" and I'm sure he realized that neither of those alleged reasons would have sat well with a judge or the prosecutors and he would be absolutely right. Its not like they can say we killed her in self defense because in actuality she was never a real threat to eitheir of them. The fact that Shelia Eddy refused to address the court tells us one of two things eitheir she has no remorse for what she did and would do it again to someone else if given the opportunity or she is so disgusted and ashamed with her self that she can't even speak. I know even though she was given a life sentence she was given parole because of her age but honestly I don't think she or Rachel should have ever gotten parole. Yes you could argue that they were both minors at the time but they still planned this out for no real reason surely they must have some idea that no matter how cocky or cunning they thought they were that they would eventually get caught and the truth would be reveal. Also surely they were aware of the consequences that came with committing murder. I know people say that if Rachel never confessed police would have never figured out it was them but honestly I think police would have put two and two together and still come to the same conclusion especially when you consider how both of them were acting strange during the interviews, the weird and creepy tweets from Shelia, and not to mention that there had been ongoing tension in their friendship for a long time and that both girls asked in a science class how to dispose of a body and planned Skylars murder in a science class. When you consider all those factors and plus the fact they found Skylars blood in Shelias car it wouldn't have been that hard to figure out it was them even if Rachel never confessed. I think both girls should have gotten life in prision with no parole the fact that they were 16 when they did this doesnt make any difference of if they did it when they were 46. Murder is not only an adult crime but its a felony. I personally don't think Shelia has any genuine remorse although no one can say that for sure. Just like no one can say for sure whether Rachel has any genuine remorse she apologized but no one knows for sure if that apology is sincere or not the only people who know that is Rachel herself and God. I do know one thing and that is that is very unlikely that either one of them will get parole. People seem to not understand that when a judge gives you the possibility of parole it doesn't mean you will necessairly get it, it just means its in the realm of consideration and a lot of it has to do also with if you comply with the rules of your prision sentencing and how likely you are to offend. Plus even if they get parole they will still have conditions of that parole that they have to abide by and if they dont comply or violate the conditions of their parole they will be sent back to jail. I know this sounds harsh but I dont think eitheir one of them should be let out because if they did this to someone they no longer liked or wanted to be friends with and were afraid would divulge personal info that they didnt want out, what happens if they get out and meet someone else like Skylar and do the same thing again. I have no doubt they would be just as capable and more than likely do this again to someone else if they got out in their 40s and 50s. You don't just stop being a psychopath when you get older and frankly I don't think its worth the potential risk it would pose to the community. Both of them are evil fake bitches and they should spend the rest of their life in prision.

      Everyone deserves an attorney. Some get accused of a crime you didn’t commit. Not having an attorney just makes it easier for you to be convicted. It’s the more fair way to get justice. We hear both sides.

      @@smithsmith3005Rachel’s breakdown was a result of them being asked to take a lie detector test after they both changed their story. What confused me is how it took so long for the police to realise that 1) it was Sheilas car that picked Skylar up, and 2) that the girls lied about what time they were with Skylar.

    It’s just fucking mind blowing. This girl does not look evil. I know evil takes all shapes and forms and sizes. But it’s just beyond belief. There’s got to be way more to the story than they “just didn’t like her” or “didn’t want to be friends anymore” I guess we will never truly know the real reason, unless Shelia or Rachel ever speak out about it.
    I can’t help but think that if Rachel never came along this would never of happened.
    I also believe - even though it was planned I reckon it started out as a sick joke, and they must of been in a psychotic state when they did it. Rachel had a mental breakdown….I think she freaked out and knew she was gonna get caught so decided to throw Shelia under the bus and get a lesser sentence. And what could Shelia do? Nothing either try and maintain innocence or plead guilty.
    I’m wondering whether Rachel’s remorse is genuine or because she was scared shitless.
    Shelia knew there was no going back even if she did feel guilty so she carried on like normal, blocking it out.
    What they did was fucking disgraceful. But I live in hope that they are not pure evil. I look at them and just can’t see them as pure evil. Fucked in the head yes…. But not pure evil.

    • @Thesirensdreams
      @Thesirensdreams Год назад +3

      You’re absolutely right. Many of Shelias and Rachel’s family/friends have said that this never would have happened if the girls hadn’t met each other. But they did:( I don’t believe either girl has or had any real remorse. And that’s not being spiteful. It’s just looking at how they acted and how this all spiraled into madness. Rachel indeed threw her under the bus when she cracked and confessed bc she didn’t want to get life as well. She said she would testify against Shelia in any trial. She had no problem with selling her out to save herself.

      the police didn't "get" the girls until after Rachel confessed and cooperated with police to convict Shelia. in return to her cooperation, she was able to plea 2nd degree murder which only has a maximum of 40 years as a sentence. since Shelia did not confess and almost caused this case to go to trial, she could only plea to first degree murder which has a life sentence as a maximum.
