I just rolled 3,000 miles on my original belt, 22 ProR 50% dunes, 40% rocks windrock etc and 10% street. Stock motor, stock clutching etc. high clearance everything but otherwise stock and I’m not easy on the car. Some decent beat downs on my channel, really think the ProR is good at everything, maybe not the best at anything, maybe comfort. Good review and video as always👍
As always great - broad - perspective on things Nick! Appreicate the continued insight against your extensive history! I have Pro R 2 seater - use it for dunes, desert, mountains and rocks - does everything well. Want to add a 4 seater at some point - was hoping Polaris was stepping up more for 2025 (what they did was great, but was hoping for real tranny). Mav R 4 with trans was def an option I was considering - but after the release it won't fit in my ATC 36' 5th wheel - just too long. Now I plan to wait to 2026 to see if Polaris does something more with Pro R. If I started today with no cars, I would get a Mav R 2 seat and a Pro R 4 seat. Mav R for dunes and fun stuff and Pro R for everything else or dunes if you need more seats. Love my Pro R and have tons of mods, so doesn't make sense to jump to Mav R 2 seater.
Everyone said the suspension was dumb looking, now they love it. Everyone said the R would never work on east coast mountains, now they love it. Everyone says the max is too long...
Your audio ruins the viewer experience if you have ear buds. Acoustic wall tiles and a XLR based studio mic and a mixer would help immensely. The wall tiles need no be in the frame as your voice projects toward the camera so tiles behind the camera woud arrest the echo from the delayed arrival back to your smartphone or video camera mic. try a Blue Yeti stereo studio mic into a mixer or audio interface (maybe a Motu M2?). You will be amazed at the improvement for $450-$500
We stepped up from a 2014 XP4 1000 to a Turbo R4 this year. While I need to space of a 4 seater and will never go to a 2 seater, the overall size of this new car is absolutely noticeable. We generally trail ride in the southwest, and have never felt cramped on the trail, until now. Looking at the dimensions of the MAV R4, I can't image having a car with a wheel base 18" longer and that much longer in total length. The width is another huge factor for us going to the Turbo R. Spec'd at 74" which translates to nearly 77" in reality, even at spec'd ride height. My current enclosed trailer is 78" wide between the fender wells, imagine my surprise when loading for the first time, almost rubbing the wells...oh my! What would the realistic width be on the MAV R that is spec'd at 78"? Thanks for the video and......size does matter!!
I have had x3 turbo rr , rzr pro r ultimate , and now went back to a 2 seat x3 turbo rr smart shock. Best fun , and power to weight. My pro r felt super heavy. My yxz was fun but lacked wheel base
I'm not nick but I would have to say x3 or mav r but just don't jump them they jump like crap. Pro r is a good dune car If it's boosted. The pro r does everything amazing just lacks the power in the dunes.
@@JamesWilson-qw2zq i dune my stock pro r alot and it does great but if you want to beat up on everything boost it. Pro r is the most well rounded car out period and it's also better quality than the can ams. I love X3s and pro Rs that being said I wouldn't take a mav r if someone gave it to me they are garbage.
@@JamesWilson-qw2zq I've put 500miles on it and changed out the belt just because but havent broken one yet. I've heard of guys putting 3000miles on the pro r oem belt. I can’t stand all the long wheel bases. That’s the only reason I’m going with a regular XP 1000 4 seat still 117 inch wheel bases way long enough. And probably too long for most of the technical route, crawling that I would prefer to do with mine.
Not interested in the new mav R, to long and wide. Wish they would have put the mav R motor in the X3. They need to update the X3 ASAP. going to keep my 2017 X3 XRS that has over 8,000 miles and keep waiting for my El Jefe.
The product launch itself was a dud. The products are great but the launch demo was terrible, they didn’t explain many of the details people want to know

Pro R 4 is a well designed car
When i saw the belly hit the tabletop stair thing that they had set up, i laughed.
again...great to listen to you....now i have to wait again for a x3-pro r closed cabin with AC and powerwindows...

Who's all these people you speak of that changed their minds!?

Have fun finding a “normal” toy hauler for that. These new SxS’s are being built out and it does not appear trailers are accommodating.
Good point, we recently posted a video of our toy hauler that fits a pro r and speed… they are rare
@ChupacabraOffroad I have a Stealth Nomad FK 24 Toyhauler that might fit that!
Plenty of 16' haulers i just got one 👍.. definitely a small amount but they are out there.
Get a roof rack like the best of us haha

Interesting…
Pro r handles everything better and with the money you lost selling it and buying another x3 you could have boosted your pro r and out ran anything.
2024 Full size Chevy Suburban wheelbase 134.1". Can Am engineers, MORE!!!
Its baffling....
Wish someone would make a similar size to a 4 seat turbo s
