I love the parallels, too. Drago training in the cold, while Creed's hardening himself in the burning heat. This movie was amazing.
Yeah I know is 2022 but the heat help with pushing the limits as far your gas tank and your mindset the cold can help with your breathing and muscles tightness cause of how cold it might be where he is

Capp00 I think he means it's funny, cause a lot of people are expecting it to revolve around Rocky and Ivan. It won't - and it would be a mistake if it were. They are just there to draw the crowd. Adonis and the new Drago are the centre.
Well of course. I have no illusion that they are the center of the story. I just hoped that, since Drago's son is the antagonist, I was hoping Ivan and Rocky would at least interact.
It would've been insane to not have Ivan (Dolph) in it. Excluding him would have been a huge mistake. Like you, I'm looking forward to seeing those two characters on screen together again. I've always wondered what happened to Drago as far as the story goes.

Johnny Jimenez I will agree some parts of it were excessively dramatic, but besides Apollo creed, I have more feelings than just ‘resentment’ for the rocky villain. In fact, at one point I was rooting for the antagonist.
It isn’t your blockbuster masterpiece but it is a well made tribute to the original series.

I just saw it last night. I don't care what the critics say, this was a fantastic sequel! The story lines and parallels to previous films can truly be appreciated by die hard Rocky fans. Lots of emotional highs and lows in this one, and in my opinion, a perfect ending. I think this should definitely be the last film in the series.

This movie was A+. Better than Creed 1
It was good but not great. they missed some key beats we needed.( spoiler) like Rocky and Apollo's widow having a talk about the Drago fight he had 33 years ago that killed her husband. Some more background about Adonis mother and how Ms. Creed knew about the affair. Bianca's character becomes too much like Adrian in this one. She had more drive for her career and we needed to see how becoming deaf affected her career. Donny's character went too dark for this time seemed too self-loathing and self-centered this time around. He wasn't as likable as the kid we met at Adrian's restaurant with Rocky and he never thanked Rocky properly for everything. Ryan Coogler would have flushed the characters out more in their arcs. And the score was not as amazing as the first movie. Other than that it was a B+ movie. But not as amazing as the first Creed.
King JKL You want him to be as light-hearted as he was in the first movie, but I actually love this darker side of Donnie. It shows his internal struggles coming face to face with the man that killed his father and his fear of his own death and not being there for his daughter.

@@santiinx737 I can get that.. and I can accept those moments of darkness, but he has to go down and come up and it shouldn't be the whole movie. Rocky didn't do that in Rocky iv when Apollo died or Rocky 3 when he lost and Mickey died or in Rocky Balboa when he lost his wife. He felt the weight had a scene or two but found motivation to rise up. As soon as Drago is introduced our hero is in a depression and dark mood the whole movie. I get it Drago killed Apollo. But Adonis in the first movie said he didn't even know his father. So why not show how it affects the mother seeing Drago now after her son. Instead of the hero being down the whole movie. Rocky never attacked Mickey. Adonis had one small dark moment in Creed 1. But he got out of it. He stayed too long in the dark here, I really feel the residue of Killmonger affected Jordan's performance in Creed 2. His beats felt less like Adonis, especially towards the guy who made him a champ. Let's say this is the last time we have Rocky in a movie, we should see Adonis showing more appreciation for what Rocky means to him and us as the audience. For example, Adonis should have gone and convinced Rocky's son to speak to Rocky again in the end as a way to say thank you to Rocky. Coogler would have got those beats and ironed out Adonis and his motivation and aggression.
Lastly, the pivotal point in the movie should have had something wrong with the baby when she was born and that like in Rocky 2 would have brought Adonis perspective to the question Rocky kept asking of what are you fighting for- his family or his baby. If our hero is not motivated to keep pushing beyond his pain why would he just come out by touching a punching bag? Bianca's speech or the baby making it out of a sickness in birth would have pushed him to rise to fight again.
....again Coogler would have made this movie epic by hitting those key beats.
Creed 1 was poor for me but this was outstanding
This movie was amazing. Best movie ending 2018. It kept me on my feet all the way. I cried through some parts. I felt like I was in his shoes throughout the whole movie. This movie can hit you in so many ways it’s astonishing. 10/10 no doubt!!!

What did he break actually?
Okay he meant that literally and figuratively. He killed Apollo Creed. Thats the figurative part. But Rocky suffered from multiple head blows that damaged his Brain. You can kinda see it too. Every movie after Rocky 4 he kinda slurs his words more and it looks like its harder to convey the words hes trying to speak.
Rocky has an iron jaw so he can take it. But it definitely took a toll.

This is now one of my favorite trailers ever. Not only are the lines like “That kid was raised in hate.”, “He broke things in me that ain’t never have been fixed.”, and “Round after round, you learn more about yourself”. impactful, Adonis comforting a part of his past to honor his father is very deep.

Man viktor looks physically imposing I would feel terrified to fight him
this is in my top 5 movies ever, and a huge part of that is because of how it makes me feel for the Dragos. Between the fact that nobody respects them anymore at the beginning, the fact that they actually made Ivan and Viktor have heart in this movie, and also how they basically have no choice but to win to earn respect. (i also think Dragos entrance in the last fight is a way underrated factor to this movie. He looks up in the stands, and all those people have respect for him finally. also, the way the music was playing and how he was walking out made it feel like he was the main character.) Plus, this was a great story for both characters. Viktor is stuck fighting in a small club ring with the only people to fight being people half his skill (and size lol) until he challenges Creed, and fights him (where everyone feels like he won) and also knocks another guy cold in the first round. And by the end of the movie, he has a lot of respect (agian, the entrance to the final fight made me feel that.) But even though he loses the second fight, people still respect him. On Creed's side, he is coming off 6 straight wins, and wins Champ in the first few minutes. then Drago comes along, and his whole life changed. He was injured badly, he had a baby on the way, and he had to deal with the thought of the first fight for the whole movie, basically. But he wins the second fight, and earns some respect back. Basically what i'm saying is that this movie does an excellent job of making me feel for Both Creed and Drago, (i still feel for the Dragos more in this movie)

actually it is like that.....it's extremely easy to get yoked if you're on roids. if you hit the gym 3 days a week those roids are going to work like magic. ever see a person who doesn't work out but has a great physique....guess how that happens....above average testosterone. steroid supplements have the same effect.
Kevin Schart it actually still takes a lot of work to get ripped while using roids. They are just a big boost, and you can't gain muscle by just taking roids and not working out
