I've been assembling a collection of Victorian GB stamps used in Constantinople as a sideline to my primary GB collection.
It was very interesting to see all of the ways that stamps were used in Malta, including Italian stamps with the "A25" postmark!

Very interesting. I've only got a few that are used abroad, but I'll have to have a closer look to see what else I might have. I've only ever looked for the letters on the cancellation, but I see there are also a few numerical location identifiers that signify the use away from the UK. Often you don't get the entire location identifier, so that won't necessarily be easy.

Thanks for an excellent video. I just have a request, what do you know about the error of the number assigned to the city Cartagena and Country Colombian. The number is C56 and this number was inverted by C65. Again thanks so much.
Good question! Sorry for the delay in replying, this was not something I was aware of but it appears that the correct cancellation was C56. However in 1866 the authorities were supplied incorrectly with a C65 cancellation. Whether this was not noticed or was noticed but used anyway, I have no idea. The value of the two cancellation does not differ much so I assume both were used equally. Thanks for the question.
