    Wish I had time to overlay everyone's names and associations but this was already a major editing undertaking. I even left out a physician mentioning clearing of MS plaques on a plant-based diet: "I have witnessed a patient with Multiple Sclerosis whose white matter plaques completely resolved after 6 months on a plant-based diet, I have seen a patient with refractory psoriasis clear their skin completely after 21 days on a plant-based diet, I've seen a patient whose rheumatoid symptoms resolved after instituting a plant-based diet...." Still you did put in a great deal and all well ordered, with the thread of your narration and comments holding things together. A commendable effort. And this comment highlighted should help redress that omission. I think I recall a video by you on multiple sclerosis, if it's there a link could be given I suppose.

      The Nothing Network Vegans have to contrast their diet against the S.A.D... because that is about the only dietary model that a vegan diet can actually stack up against.
      The S.A.D is so extremely bad that even I would recommend (a well constructed) vegan diet in comparison! As long as your vegan diet is whole food based, organic, and you supplement with all the right things (and there are many you will need) your going to be doing better than on a S.A.D. Still that is not saying much for a vegan diet really though is it?!
      There are PLENTY of "French fry" vegans out there, who's diet is every bit as bad as the S.A.D!
      Those Vegans, I think, tend vegans for strictly ideological reasons & they are some of the most clueless about what the human body actually needs in the way of nutrition.

      It won't. The percentage of the earth's human population that is vegan is about 1%. Hasn't changed since vegan-ISM started. Eating only plants long term is not for humans no matter what plant-based doctors say. Human beings are omnivores(proven fact) not herbivores and need plants and animal products to survive and stay healthy LONG term. Typical vegan: "Look at me, I am so smart! I research online and think I know everything. I only have a high school education(if that) but you know I read 'FACTS' tho." 99% of Doctors worldwide recommend a balanced diet with plant and animal products. Even then people are still going to eat/drink whatever they want. The 1% of vegan doctors have plant-only bias because they just shun animal products without understanding humans have eaten animal products well over 2 million years ago and they have benefits. The other 99% of smart doctors don't view reality the same and they are smart because of that. They understand humans shouldn't be eating only plants.

    A friend of mine went blind from his diet. I tried telling him many times over the years that he was killing himself. Eventually, he was diagnosed with diabetes. He still would not listen to me. He started losing his eyesight, and even his doctors tried telling him to change his diet. He ended up in the hospital a number of times. He was in Japan when he ended up in the hospital, and they put him on, from what I could tell from the photos he took of his meals, a traditional Japanese food vegan diet. His eyesight was worsening all the time. He talked about the food as prison food. The day he was released from the hospital, he immediately went to the store, bought a pound of ground meat (horse meat) cooked it up, and ate the whole bowl of meat. He learnt to use a cane and how to read braille and how to navigate as a blind person as his loss of eyesight was inevitable on his current path. Eventually the capillaries to his eyes became so clogged (as with the ones in the rest of his body, of course) that he not only became totally blind, but within the next two years, had to have his eyes completely removed. Why? Because they didn't have any blood flow going to them. Why take them out? Well, because without life-sustaining blood, they died and would start to rot. So, he got himself a pair of glass eyes. Now, I had tried to talk to him about his diet over and over prior to this over the period of about a decade. So did professionals. He refused to listen. I'm surprised he's still alive, actually, but he just turned 40, and most heart attacks happen to guys in their 40s and 50s, so I foresee a heart attack very soon for him. Don't be like my friend. Actually, I just could no longer spend any time around him as he was a strong reminder to me of how stubborn people can be; of how people would rather go blind or die of a heart attack etc. rather than change their diet.

    Mic- FYI "neural tube defect" does not equal "being born without a brain". The most common presentation of neural tube defects are spina bifida and anencephaly. When making an argument for a whole food plant-based diet, it's important to not make hyperbolic claims like this. If we are seen as always over-exaggerating the consequences or benefits of a diet, we lose credibility.

    • @shortgirl65
      @shortgirl65 3 года назад

      @Jodie Masterson yes, but words matter. It may seem pedantic, but "Born without a brain" is not the same as being born with an underdeveloped brain.
