:'( We adopted our little girl from china 3+ years ago. I hope one day that we can find her biological family to let them know that she is okay and , if the time ever comes that she wants to know, who they are.
Same here. My daughter is registered on 23&Me and today will be sending her DNA sample to Ancestry. As more people send their samples in, the possibility of finding her Chinese birth parents increases. She is 16 now and I'm hopeful that she will someday find out more about where she originally came from even tho she will always be my daughter.

bless you & your family, kind person & humanity still out there in all the race and nations. ANYWHERE ❤️❤️❤️ glad you bring life for someone!!
Others kids is not lucky like that.. they're still waiting in foster centre
Growing up to feed by foster mom "your parents will come someday to take you home" and these kid growing up with this believe & hope there are parents out there will come to take them. But only 1/10 kids get adopted, after 14yo the kid can't get adopted
Mostly of them is suffering when they're growing up. After 17/18year old, they get out of center, no family & too youngful & have NO EXPERIENCE LIFE
Some is lucky to growingup good, have study & find a jobs, living decent life. But mostly of them is not that lucky, suddenly get kick out of center at young age, no family, no hope, no exprerience of life, no skills,.. many of them get abuse, trauma & have slightly mental-issues. Some get dark-future wait for them, end up like in gang or did criminal thing.
God, this is why adults people please use condom & pills, their "mistake" pregnant but it can changing & harmful a whole life of the newborn kid.
Is she the one in the profile picture
Beautiful people 🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍👍
The adopted mother just brought tears to my eyes, she has so much love to give.
I just started my search for my family and these videos give me hope that they’re out there somewhere
I am from Nanning . I was adopted when I was 8 months old and I've been living in the US ever since I am about to turn 21. I am just about to start my journey to find my birth parents but I'm scared.
Mae Pontius it will be all Long journey but we will all be rooting for you
Here is the story of my friend who founded Mother’s Love in Nanning. I hope it will bring you comfort and courage as you read about the background of many like you who were adopted from China. www.amazon.com/Hidden-Treasures-Children-Mothers-Guangxi/dp/1691072540/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=hidden+treasure+book+kit+ying+chan&qid=1587745887&sr=8-1
Please try to contact socialwork group in China, they have nationwide volunteer specializing in helping separated families. You can try baobeihuijia.com or contact to China national television program "Waiting for me (等着我)". Wish you all the best. Be brave. Parents died when they lose their children, so actually they love you.
Do not be afraid to find out the truth about ur past. Its better than to live with regret later on. Good luck
That’s so heartbreaking to give your baby away like that. I can never imagine that feeling
You try and comfort yourself by telling them they will be better off. That family can provide for them better ,or they won't be effected by the anger/abuse of the father or mentally ill aspects of the mother or your families involvement for their own sick justification to throw it in your face. I think about the future knowing that she will be safe, not face any negative hostile environments of domestic spousal abuse, just a warm happy fun filled love filling home even if she's the only sibling. She will be able to come out of her shell being healthy physically mentally and spiritually. I don't enjoy my life though I still at a loss of living without giving my love to my child. I don't think I should feel happy about anything. Cuz I do know one day my daughter will show up at my door angry and bitter at her mother not "wanting" her. That's gonna be the day that my heart dies from pain.
Tldr: giving up a child is separating your soul your life your youthful essence. You think of them everyday and hope that when they're old enough, they'll understand that it wasn't what you both may have wanted but it was what was needed
I feel bad for these families torn apart by there government. Im glad the one child act is over. I hope more families can be reunited.
Do not judge wrongly. Because the government was poor.
@@natalieelkudacy5650 no kind goverment even poor or rich will separated people or control women birth.Unless the goverment doesn't have any humanity hearts.
Control is ok but to force people are not ok.
Each child have their own sustenance whether poor or not.Not as big as the rich people, but still have.Cause kids are like white paper, innocent, even angel protect them, with God permission.
People not misunderstood with kind Chinese just the some bad government.
@@Number-lq9jb The only means to control is force. Without force government cannot hold control
Sadly a lot of governments don’t care about their people
The country was poor, they were at the edge if not starving. They have to control the population or the country will collapse and they all will die. Now tht the country is no longer in tht state, these ppl are trying their best to right their wrong. It's very easy for us to judge but hey, when u are in the surviving mode, u gotta do what keeps u alive. Ppl tht nv have to go thru tht may not understand the decision made..
I am so ashamed to admit that I had the wrong idea about how Chinese parents feel about their daughters. I live close to a university. A Chinese student was killed. I could see the pain in her parents eyes when they came all the way from China to try to seek Justice their daughter. I knew then that I had been taught and I believed the wrong thing for so long. They loved her so much and sadly they will never see their child again.. The foul thing that calls himself a human killed this child and disposed of her body so the parents don't even have her remains. I can't imagine the pain that they went through. This murderer was convicted and will serve the rest of his life in prison with absolutely no chance of parole. Again I'm deeply sorry for my past ignorance.
Was this the Brendt Christensen case by any chance? JCS did a full documentary on it, worth a watch.
this was very interesting to watch; i only thought about the ones that gave up their daughters in order to have a chance to have a son
Maybe you haven't considered the possibility that they might have already had their one son and accidentally got pregnant again?
@@8bijoux1 there were free abortions back then...unless they wanted a son but could not check at doctors (they will get caught) and gambled on it
@@8bijoux1 hence if they wanted a son but it was their second child, they had to see it through to birth and if it was daughter they were either killed or thrown away.
If my husband made me give up one of my children, I’d be short a husband.
@@redtiger4352 Just because there were free abortions doesn't mean everyone wanted to abort. Plenty of families thought of their accident as a happy surprise and wanted to go along with it, hoping that they'd be able to keep the second child a secret. Or they might have thought that giving their child away would be better than aborting, as in the former situation they still have a chance of being reunited.
Nothing can be more sad and desperate than having to give up your child. I wish all these people peace and well-being.
Lots of children have also been adopted abroad. We have 3 children from China. They would love to meet their birth parents.
and are you Chinese?
Wow this is some powerful stuff from a poor government decision.
Feelings are mutual but clearly, its not the same anymore. All those years gone by and both sides have new families already. They're strangers to each other. The daughter is obviously more closer to her adoptive parents side and she'll always love them more than her birth parents.
I thank God for giving me a great parents and good family that stay besides me support me n be with me all the time.
So heartbreaking to watch
am in tears
Thanks for this video. I am wondering when China will have a more unified DNA database, similar to 23and me. My Chinese daughter is also interested in finding birth family in China, but so far, we haven't been able to find a DNA database in China to submit to.
www.familytreedna.com/groups/china/about/background
Are you still actively searching. Put her 23&me DNA in Gedmatch. A few thousand birth parents are registered there.
“my life is now complete“
kinda inspiring
do chinese people often talk in these extremes?
cause i have noticed that i think...
i am from nanjing china trying to find my birth family :/
Have you had any luck? I'm a reporter working in China. If you'd like to share your story let me know.
@@martinpollard6332my daughters are looking as well. Now living in The Netherlands
@@moniqueengelaan3557 its unlikely his birth parents live in the Netherlands, most likely they'll still be in China
What a cruel policy
My mom's parents paid the fine to keep her as my mom was the second child 😭
And you probably won't be born if your moms parents didn't pay the fine
Even though they finaly met their birth mother that woman is only their mother she is not their Mommy. Their mommy is that woman who raised her from infant till now.
Yeah
Good foster parents UK was once famous
Good thing they talk one language
could anyone help
Are u okay?
MCGI CHURCH God bless
😭😭😭
If China didnt apply that policy at that time, one family might have 5-10 childrens. But sure, it was cruel decision.
It was only cruel because people were obsessed with having boys otherwise the policy would not have been a bad thing tho.
the one child policy was evil in so many ways
there is this one exam through which you get selected in best college of india(80-90% of the student from these college earns more than 100k USD a year) .the percentage of student that passes this exam is about 0.006%.
what language are they speaking?
not nice
Yeah, of course if they had to give a child away they'd give away the girl
Because of one Child Policy forced Parent to give up their kids, that's so cruel,my parents got 8 kids we are lucky we are not from China
China now have 3 Child Policy which is caused by the low birth rate and the decreased of the youth of China. The youth is the biggest contributor to the economy as they make up a huge percentage of fresh labour force, they work and spend huge amount of money.
Wow 8 kids, what country
@@ghazalijaini but most parents in China are not having children
This policy is fucked up
No mamen Chusma!
What a regime,disgusting.
This is what happpens in communist nations
In your democratic country you don't have even the freedom of speech which is the basic feature of democracy look at the Censorship even by the government and the high tech media....look at the case of Donald Trump he was banned by the Twitter and the facebook from thier platform...... What is the definition of democracy then ?
@@dingdong9871 and you have it in China ?
@@dingdong9871 take your ding dong elsewhere
Why are they mostly girl? Were they given up because the family wanted a boy and not a girl? So how can the birth family 'loved' the child so little (if this can even be called love) that they chose to abandon her just because of her gender? They gave her up becuase of one child policy but that is not all the reason they chose to give her up. They also chose to give her up because they want a BOY. Take that in mind.
I dont think so. At the end when they were toasting I heard them said sister is back, as in younger sister. So I can only assume this couple already have a son before her.
I really find it frustrated where parents give up their child at infant and only wants them back when they a grown adults who works in good jobs
CrazyFire Beast but honey you do know the real reason why these children were given up, right?
@@ariyanna1056 yeah i understand why does it happen in china
@@muhammadzafeer8763 there was rapid population growth and overpopulation so the government wanted to control it with one child policy
They “want them back” because they recently found this group to reunite separated families. It’s not because they want someone to take care of them with money
@@shadowflare2838 And that wasn't a good decision. A good solution was that the government must kill themselves. I swear when i was at school 16 years ago, a friend of me brought a tape of a documentary how they threathed children in an orphanage. It was a horror to see it. They even letted a 4 year old girl dying they locked her up and gave her no food and water. That girl was crying so sad.
No wonder corona spread
