  • This time I was discussing about social elements in warframe and the lack of activities that would feel meaningful doing with friends. Cause warframe is a singleplayer mmo and thats why we love it, but why not add more social elements? Dojos are made only for trading really, most content you can do without any communication, chat is used rarely and playing with friends feels the same as playing with randoms. I don't like it even that i love the game itself :3
    there is error in date the stream was 28.10.2024 obvs :3

    I am a returning player and yes this has always been a single player game. However its not lonely i met so many cool new people . people that are new , people that are friendly and people that really want to help alot. this is the only gaming community i still always feel welcomed. By next year i want to be really active in the game to the point where i can ease the process of introducing this to my irl friends and new people. I love warframe.

      Welcome back!
      Yes, people are amazing and community around the game is lovely. So far everyone on my streams or in public games help so much its crazy.
      What I mean with "lonely" is about that the content itself don't encourage me to socialize in any way. Playing sortie with friends, alone or with randoms feels the same :/ unlike other games where there is more interactions. I think best examples are dojos that are used in 99% of clans only for trading.

      @@tosi-chanclips I think that's a you problem personally, its great to have the option in the first place to do it solo or with others. But I do agree that the game mode challenges, I just don't know what would that look like without messing the game up.

      @@gaoexkaiser I guess its just a problem with your imagination :p I also don't understand parts of this comment I guess you were writing that in a hurry. There are plenty of games that have great solo and coop experience while same time being challenging and fun. Best example is deep rock galactic, you don't need to mess up the game to add it and digital extremes does that with recent updates.
      Here are some of my ideas that won't change the state of the game:
      > Missions with two goals at the same time for example: Spy + Extermination mission so we can decide who is hacking the vaults who is killing enemies or Excavation + Capture. To do missions effectively you need to split decide who is doing what obvs you can just do it however you like but it will be a little bit slower. We have so many mission types that its possible to make many cool modes.
      > A actual hub so option for host to open orbiter for everyone in party, so by clicking a button all players that wants can join and use same orbiter between missions. Right now it is possible but you need to invite everyone one by one and it kicks you after mission additionally in dojo some things you can place in dojo to use it as your orbiter, upgrade mods etc. so you and your clan can play the game using dojo only if you wanna.
      > Missions with level scaling so my friend can play on level 30 when I'm playing on steel path version level 130. We can both play cool content together just drops and enemies health are different. Level scaling is in tons of games.
      > Option to see chat text in dojo, orbiter above player head in game.
      But I'm repeating myself and so do you so this is my last response :3

    Yes, agree with so much of this!
    Something else important to this topic though is the enemies.
    They haven’t had AI updates for over 10 years now, since before we could bullet jump as players and back when we had Stamina bars.
    Combat is a big thing Warframe is still lacking on.
    A basic formula for combat is: What we can do as players, what the enemies can do as enemies, and how the 2 sides interact with each other.
    Because of players keep getting buffed, and enemies keep getting nerfed WHILE they have extremely outdated AI, is why the combat doesn’t require brain cells like most other games.
    And we can make stuff like builds with our friends for special synergies, but there’s no enemies or Game mode types that make this extra brain cell useage feel worthwhile at all.

    • @tosi-chanclips
      @tosi-chanclips  Месяц назад +4

      Yep, enemies are sacks of meat. That's why meta is just damage cause you don't need anything else. I really wish we would got more unique mechanics it seems the enemies in Warframe 1999 are designed same way :/

      @abyssphantom6786 Месяц назад +1

      @ Yes, Agreed!
      well…..there’s a SMALL hope for 1999.
      In the Devstream, Pablo showed off a little that they are working on new boss mechanics that require player engagement, but that have good telegraphs ahead of time as well.
      They also said they are transferring some of these mechanics, back to regular infested Ancient enemies. So, “small” step in right direction.
      Also, the new Endless capture mode sounds interesting.
      Apparently, the capture target will be a special, new infested boss, that grows stronger and gains new abilities and new attacks each time it’s captured, when it revives itself somewhere else on the map.

    This also reflects in the role of supports in Warframe to mostly be: "ight lemme chill here and you go do your thing" instead of you activly supporting and impacting anything in Warframe.
    There is plenty of stuff to do with friends, but only if you are new to the game and your friends are too, but once at Endgame a single player can solo everything even on SP and scaled up to 4 players. There is no personal impact you are contributing too in every mission at all which makes you feel the way that there is nothing to do with friends.
    I just don't get DE's priorities, they don't even have raids on their radar. I very much doubt we are getting raids next year or the year after and by the time they do come out I prob won't have the time anymore to play any games at all

    • @tosi-chanclips
      @tosi-chanclips  Месяц назад +1

      Oh yeah, I totally agree about the support aspect! I really wish we could get some cool offensive supports like we have in Overwatch because that’s the playstyle I love.
      Being new to the game was great cause there is tons of content to explore, but after a while, it starts to feel repetitive and in end game you can solo everything. Even though I love the game, playing with friends feel a bit meaningless at times. We could just stay on vc and play diffrent games same level of cooperation etc.

    Edilon hunts?
    Making your own Dojo and upgrading it with your friends.
    Try out a new frame and new weapons (there is no way you tried out everything).
    Zariman arcanes and arcanes in general.
    Upgrade your operator and unlock new skill tree.
    Try different playstyles you might find something else you like instead of your main frame.
    STEEL PATH (ugh that makes me shake when i say it as a new steel path player)
    I just reacently started getting into Edilon hunting and i find it really interesting so im kinda focusing on arcanes and amp builds for my operator and Madurai focus

      @tosi-chanclips  Месяц назад +5

      Everything you said here you can do alone and you don't need friends at all.
      >Eidolon hunts you can solo.
      >Dojo you can build and research alone.
      >I have almost every frame the ones I don't have I don't like the design etc.
      >I have all zariman arcanes.
      >I have max level operator.
      >I use all frames I have with different loadouts. I try to make shitty weapon usable heh.
      >Steel path I can do solo.
      The problem I see is that content feels EXCATLY the same if you play with friends or public lobby. That's a big problem where in other games playing with friends is so much better.

      @@tosi-chanclips Well i see your point.
      Everything is kinda the same in Warframe.
      I remeber when i got to fight the Ropalolyst i was so excited and happy that there are multiple game mechanics being explored at the same time. (I did that fight like 50 times)
      And im not really the one to talk when i play this game alone myself.
      Played with my friends for a bit but they decided to quit.
      I guess there really isnt any mechanic that is intended to be played with people that you cant do alone.
      So i guess it would be cool to get an event where you HAVE TO work with other people
      But yeah you can do everything alone.
      That doesnt mean you should tho.
      Edilon hunts can be very fun together if you dont tryhard ultra hard by yourself.
      And building a dojo with other people and discussing where to put what room is a really cool faction building mechanic.
      And warframe isnt really beginer friendly. So its hard to make my friends play it.
      You grind for new weapons and warframe parts and then press build and have to wait for 3 days.
      That puts alot of new players off and not to mention you get 2 warframe slots when you start and have to spend plat on maybe 2 extra warframe slots or a few weapon slots.
      Its really hard to explain to my friends why this game is cool when they get put off by being locked out of alot of things from the very start.
      Hope they add something like a Ropalolyst where you have to use the terrain or some other mechanic where everyone has to do something to be able to damage the boss instead of a healthbar that gets erased in 3 seconds.

      I hate to tell you this.. but I had everything in the game by 300 hours on a fresh account. Knowledge of the game is key. You can earn thousands of plat a day just by trading and use that play to buy all you could ever want, I say I had everything in the game but what I really mean is arcanes/mods/traceable items. I didn't farm LR4 as that's just so boring to do imo and that's all that's left for me to do.. is reach LR4

    its kinda the beauty of it to do the content alone, people are for the most part friendly bc you dont need to rely on teammates i would i say, you can look at any game thats an mmorpg and pve that need multiple people for certain content you'll see alot of try hards and toxic people.

    • @tosi-chanclips
      @tosi-chanclips  Месяц назад

      Hm thats a interesting perspective and I agree that when game is more competetive people can be toxic even in cooperation games. But I know tons of games where community is amazing and you need to cooperate more like Deep Rock Galactic for example. So You can achieve a balance in this but it is hard.

  • @gaoexkaiser
    @gaoexkaiser Месяц назад +1

    Doing what you said you wanted to the game would put griefing to the extreme in the game. lol I see so much toxicity already from it. Now its not impossible to make it work but I also see why the devs don't do that. Its too inaccessible, and if your not to careful about implementing it.

    • @tosi-chanclips
      @tosi-chanclips  Месяц назад

      How adding social interactions and harder missions would put griefing to the game? I don’t understand really. We already have modes where you can grief like this thing where you need to hold temperature to some level. And some people don’t understand this mode shoot everywhere and it’s just getting slower that’s it. So you can add more interactions in missions between players that doesn’t break the game or add griefing. And Devs already did it in many missions like this temperature thing, lua puzzles, dragon key vaults. Bruh you can even grief by not resurrecting someone during archon hunt. Does it happen? Not really. We also have hardcore modes like deep Archimedea and I never met anyone griefing.
      But even if we don’t agree I really appreciate that you watched the video and have your feedback to the discussion 💕thank youuu

  • @gaoexkaiser
    @gaoexkaiser Месяц назад +1

    Non of what your saying is really a problem, cause there's ups and downs to each one of them. Personally what I hear is attracting the toxic side of Destiny and WoW hardcore players which would probably make warframe less accessible to a certain extent, though its not bad thing to have hardcore game modes and players. I'm not sure if the gaming industry or even warframe devs know how to make hardcore modes work for this type of game. Warframe is too extreme on its RPG aspect that its hard to match on games like destiny and wow Raids with out removing your powers or limiting your powers in warframe.

    • @gaoexkaiser
      @gaoexkaiser Месяц назад +1

      Meta- Weapons, Arcanes, Archon Crystals, Companions, Warframes, Rivens are to over the top on its RPG aspect that it really breaks the game. Warframes Frames is also not balanced equally so its hard to make it work.

    • @tosi-chanclips
      @tosi-chanclips  Месяц назад

      I think you don’t understand what I was talking about. You can add more social interactions to the game without adding toxicity or hardcore things. We have puzzles on lua or vaults with those dragon keys, are those missions super toxic? Don’t think so. Same time it’s really cool to do them with friends. That’s something I’m talking about.
      You can easily tweak that like they did with deep Archimedea its hard but you decide how hard it is. I never had toxic people in my games cause everyone can decide how hard it will be for you. Personally I always play on every possible debuff but it’s my decision. We could have raids or other things in a similar way. So yes we already have that it is possible we could have more. Warframe is not too extreme for it on its RPG elements.
      I play Warframe for past 8 years or more and game was totally different back then. Digital extremes can add cool things and they do like reworked bosses. Before bosses were just sponges for bullets. Don’t think game is toxic because of that xD.
      But even if we don’t agree I really appreciate that you watched the video and have your feedback to the discussion 💕thank youuu
