I learnt Korean at a very young age which I think have helped me a lot. It can be harder to learn when you’re older but Korean is in top 10 of the easiest languages to learn to you can do it!
BTS has a lot of political, powerful and deep songs and this is why they have such a huge following. They are diverse and they touch topics that artists and the music industry is usually scared to talk about. Their not afraid to use their voices. That alone proves their every right to be heard by the whole world.
as someone who is learning korean i have to say korean is one of the hardest languages to learn.. even yoongi himself has said that he respects anyone who does it cause the language is so hard to grasp
Korean language is the easiest language to learn in terms of it's writing system and reading. I learned how to write and read Korean in just one seating when I was in highschool no doubt! It's easy trust me the alphabets are easy to follow. I'm 22 now btw so yeah I learned Korean over 10 years ago. Although, the hardest part is the Korean grammar and pronunciation. Ps. I'm Asian but not Korean.
I was laughing and crying when Dani from Dkdktv explained Forever Rain from RM. The korean alphabet is actually SUPER EASY to learn. The saying goes "a wise man can learn it in a day and a fool can learn it in a week" or something like that. The language itself has totally different grammar and sentence structure and you have to memorize vocabulary, so on that level it's not any easier than other languages. The writing system is super easy to learn, tho.

Thankyou guys for this reaction thankyou so much for taking time out of your day to watch BTS and learn about them I really appreciate how genuine and honest yall are thankyou, love your channel 💕
thank you so much for the reaction! i really enjoyed how respectful you’re with your reaction. i really wanna see you guys react to baepsae explained by korean next if possible. its from the same channel DKDTV as they do a bunch of this video. as much as we love feeling the beat it is fascinating to see the songs being explained with all the references to korean culture that we foreigners might not understand right away just by listening to the song alone and it also gives much deep meaning and image to the songs.
Well, I'm not fluent in Korean but I'm learning and It's hard to remember the vowels, consonants and the pronunciation of some words. In genereal I think its harder to understand than speak. It's such a beautiful and interesting language that it motivates me to not give up. BTW I'm learning by myself 🤭
That is dope. First I don’t love that song but I like the explanation so much. Thanks for the ride. I know this other channel but I loved to discover this song tru your channel. Before BTS I used to watch a lots of K drama so now, I’m a bit aware of a few words and situations. Those situations being explained by real Korean are so fun. It is like a crash course without homework to do. I know RM and his bros wants to share deeper level of their view of the world and it is efficient. It is fresh and candy licious. I love you say it could be a good idea to learn the language. So far I know of their king created the alphabet and I saw a hater praised the structure. He was ranting because he would have preferred that Korea being praised for the alphabet and not for BTS as BTS is associated with Kpop. I think that person should have check who are BTS. But anyway good times. I will re-watch the explanation
You guys should watch the color coded lyrics to the rap lines "ddaeng" then watch the explanation video from dkdktv. Another one of my favorites is "spine breaker" (by all the members) . At first, I thought it was just a fun song, but when I watch the explanation video to it. It was really eye opening
Color coded lyrics are often times wrong and those channels also monetize their videos, which they shouldn’t. The best site for translations and explanations is doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com

Ok I'm german and learned 5 languages so far, including arabic. Korean was easy and hard at the same time. In the beginning it's rather easy you can quickly learn how to read and pronounce words. The grammar though...Is VERY irregular. There are more exceptions than rules which makes it quite hard. I think it's one of those languages that needs to be spoken a lot while learning, studying from books only gets you that far.
hey! i have been studying Korean for about 6 years now and my first language is English. How difficult it is to learn a language really depends on a lot of things, one of those things being what languages you've learned/know already. For example learning a language that is from a different language family is very difficult, so for me learning Korean was quite difficult because the structure, grammar, pronunciation, honorific usage is very different than english so it takes a lot of practice and studying (as an upside though, learning to read the korean alphabet is really easy lol so there's that at least). To be more general though, i'd say properly learning Korean to an intermediate or advanced level is quite hard (after 6 years I'm still only around conversational) but it is by no means impossible and is definitely worth the time and effort as it's really fun. as you already speak multiple languages as well, you'd have a bit of an advantage as well~
17:37 They don't do it for all, but they do some pretty good ones. Hope you guys check out "Baepsae" and Baepsae explained by a Korean. It's an awesome song and I looooovveeee the message.
I really enjoy y'all reactions and point of view and what you think about it like this entertainment for me to see someone else perspective whether they like it or not you know I luv it 🤘
I am learning Korean as my third language, French being my first language, English being my second. The difficulty in korean is learning vocabulary. The alphabet is Uber easy, the sentence structure is fairly easy. I love learning other languages, it opens me up to a completely different culture and way of seeing the world! So I suggest you do try to learn it!
I naturally learned Korean through being a fan of BTS and consuming their content for 3 years but when I fully got into the culture, I decided to learn fr and that took a whole year. Shit is hard HARD.
Please keep on doing this like react to the song & then react to the song explained💜 Love your reaction & yes BTS are super famous & all but they have pure love for music & ARMY. Their mission has always been to change people’s life’s & to uplift everyone & help💜💜
I need more reactions from you on BTS in my life Black Swan (live on the James Corden show) Cyphers (medley) lyrics BTS (any song live) or BTS Carpool Karaoke sorry for my automatic translator english🤪😂
About learning the language, I'm not Korean but I'd say after 3 years of following bts and watching other kpop groups and videos i can understand most videos without subs? and can hold a basic conversation. this is without officially studying the language, and if i do im sure i can improve more. I'd say if you're already fluent in multiple languages it might be easier for you maybe? if youre someone who picks up languages fast? but i think it also depends on your main languages. my native language is very similar to korean in grammar so it was very easy for me, but english speakers might find the sentence structures difficult to get used to. either way i highly suggest going through with it! it's a beautiful language. also lyrics and songs mean so so SO much more to me now that i can genuinely understand what theyre saying without having to depend on english translations that might not have the same words and phrases in the language
As someone currently learning Korean, I'd say just like any language it's going to be difficult, but not impossible. However, the written language (한굴 - Hangul) is probably one of, if not the easiest languages to learn. I learned it in 1 week with only 5 minutes a day studying. It can easily be learned in a few hours. Once you learn that then proceed learning what the words you're pronouncing mean, learn the grammar, etc. Just like any other language. It's a very beautiful language to learn.
4:06 Korean is very hard depending on what languages you already know. For example, if your primary language is English, then Korean, Japanese, Arabic, and Chinese could be very hard to learn while Spanish, French, Italian, and etc may be easier. I'm trying to learn Korean, French, Japanese, and Chinese right now while reinforcing my Spanish and Vietnamese. I don't think Korean is too hard, but I grew up around Koreans so I caught on fast. For me, Chinese is the hardest just because of all the kanji alphabet. At least Korean has the easiest alphabet.
You should definitely watch more of the explanations, even when the songs are good and the translations may be somewhat questionable - when he explains the true meaning and all the wordplays you start to understand how thought out the lyrics are and the songs get even better. There are so many songs around that don't mean anything, that has stupid lyrics and get famous and popular - and then there are songs like this that go into actual problems in very clever ways.
*HOW HARD IS KOREAN* As someone who can speak korean to intermediate-advanced level and is still learning, i would say learning to _read_ korean is actually really easy. Nowadays there are apps where you can learn the characters, it's great and pretty quick. You should try if you're bored, it's a good quarantine activity. Then for basic speaking, I would say that it's harder than English but same level as French if you don't speak a latin language. You guys speak Creole and English like me and I also speak french. I don't know if you guys speak french, but if you do I would say the pronunciation is easier for french speakers than english speaker from I've observed and from people I met. Basic sentence structure (ex: I want to eat pizza) is not too hard to learn and is not as hard as Mandarin (which seems to be a popular belief) and if you already can speak 3 languages, you can challenge that. Only important thing is having clear and great ressources. The website Talk to me in korean is relly great and have levels with simple course so yeah, you seem to want to try it haha.
learning the alphabet is actually pretty easy. the hard thing is understanding why certain words are written the way they are and just learning all the words and memorizing them
I'm learning Korean right now!! Its known to have one of the easiest alphabets in the world! It was literally created because the King at the time thought Chinese was too difficult and wanted everyone to be able to be literate, no matter what status. The alphabet can be learned in an hour!! If you want to learn, its not difficult! There's tons of great websites and youtube videos to help!
Learning the alphabet is easy, reading is easy, learning basic phrases is simple... I suggest watching kdramas and listen to music to learn some “slangs” and other sentences. Also learn some vocab... I first started learning when I was 13, and I’m 19 now... and that was my way of learning, other people have different ways to learn as well
About learning a new language : I’m learning Japanese and you would be ecstatic to recognize any Japanese words of BTS Japanese records versions. I’m not learning Korean on top of it or maybe later the alphabet because it is cool to understand mother tongue. So James Bond and so good for the brain activity So far I’m not fluent neither in créole nor Korean nor Thai nor Japanese or Cantonese but they produced drama so I’m picking words and expressions. It expand the horizon
Answering your quoestion at 4:17 The main (sure there is other detail for sure) is grammer korean and english is so different, beside the alphabet. Gramactically english and my language (indonesia, am indonesian) is subject - predicate -object but korean is different subject-object-predicate. Also their sylabble some of it is unique, the way it written and pronounce is different 😊 this is a reason, korean (and japanase) is struggle to learn english since the alphabet also different. Me, as indonesia we have the same alphabet as american=a,b,c,d,e.. x,y,z so for korean, also japanese, arab, vietnamese, china if they can speak and write english fluently is amaizing.. as RM as he learn english by himself 🤩😇👏👏👏
When it comes to languages, you have to remember the "mother language" or the alphabet where the language was influenced by or originated from. So for English speakers, learning a language like Scottish or German would be quite easy. Similar to Spanish speakers with Portuguese or some other Latin based language. I think for us, going from that to characters would be very difficult. I want to say that learning Mandarin or Arabic would be the most difficult language for English speaking people. Not only just remembering, but also the sentence structure is different. In Korean, for example, the verb is always last in the sentence and the order is "Subject- Object- Verb" which is different from English's "Subject- Verb- Object". Its not difficult per say (im learning Korean) but it does take some getting used to
I cannot speak korean but i can read it and write it (i dont understand a thing tho unless its names or there is some korean words that sound like english words) its fairly easy to learn the korean character alphabet as theres only like 24 characters but after that jeez its confusing
Amicy I mean I can read korean so technically im speaking it but i dont understand what im reading and i for sure am not fluent and cannot understand a thing but if you give me a piece of paper with korean writing on ill read it

I'm glad you watched the explained version, it's so much better to understand and appreciate their lyricism. I hope you just played the song after wards though to appreciate the song as a whole. And yes, you should totally try learning Korean! I hope to see more BTS and solo works!
It is so cool how much information BTS puts in all their songs I learn something new each time. I really enjoyed your reaction!!
How long have you been learning and we appreciate you dropping the info @Crystal

We appreciate you dropping the timeline and information!! Thank you
I loved this reaction so much!!! Thank you for taking the time to appreciate BTS’s lyrics. You guys are super cool reactors!
Actually the Korean alphabet is so Easy, u can learn it in a day. But you know another thing are the words, pronunciation is a little hard too
True! I learnt how to read and write korean in 4 days
Right! The hardest part would be the Korean grammar.
Right..I can read 70 percent ...but don't know the meanings 😂
So nice to see I am not alone in having done this! 😂😂
i learnt how to read and write in a day. but i dont understand what i write or read 😂😂😂
This is what I call ART!
this is my third video watching you guys. before i even watched the video i liked it because of how genuine you guys have and are being and the personality in your videos, i was like yup i like these guys straight away. i'm an army and i just wanted to say thank you for genuinely reacting to BTS and showing interest. i really enjoy your videos. ;) and thanks for taking the time to read the comments. i wish you prosperity.
Rek thank you so much for thinking of us and taking the time to put your message in the comment!! We appreciate you!!
It had a video where Suga was saying that Korean language is hard even for him.
I already know 2 languages but am learning Korean now
Today I found your channel and watching almost 20 videos straight. 🤣 Had to subscribe to watch rest of videos. 👍🏼👏🏼😁
Let’s gooooo!!!! We love to see it!!!
React to BTS DDANG and it's explained version you'll love ...
We definitely did not see this message quick enough lol
Thank you for taking time on this.💖
Whoo!!! I'm so glad you did this!! Thank you so much =D
Thank you for reacting to this!! Yes they also do explanations for a few other bts songs :) like ddaeng, bapsae, spine breaker, they are all great songs to react too!! 🤗
This is one of the many reasons why I flipping love BTS! Their lyrics are crazy good!
I knew you would be amazed!
Thanks for this reaction guys 🙏
&Hom we will be checking it out, thank you
Amicy thank you 🙏🏻
This is the second video I've watched by you guys and now you have one more subscriber.
Caroline you are a blessing!
@@Amicy I know a good reaction channel when I see one 😊💜
yes!! he does these videos for not only bts, but other kpop groups too!
Thank you for the reaction 💜
Thank you for watching and we appreciate you!!
We appreciate you dropping the info
This is my favorite rap of theirs!! So timely!!
Love ur reactions !! Thank you 🙏 🙂🙃🙂
Just subscribed 💜💜💜 so glad your genuine about learning about BTS. Armys will help you along the way, we get excited because we know they will blow your mind. Can't wait to watch your journey!!!

DKDKTV also did Daechwita Explained!! :)
Thank you so much for your BTS Reactions! Subscribing for a bit, to see how your journey goes!
Note: If you want to see how they’ve developed...
Their First track release was No More Dream ~ their anniversary is June 13th :)
Three other well known, early tracks: We Are Bulletproof Pt2 ~ N.O. ~ Attack on Bangtan
Thank you for your lovely reaction
It tells you're not American, you guys are so genuine and intelligent. I like your bts reactions a lot.
Sorry about that earlier!! ^_^ let me binge your vid for today
Love and support from the Philippines ^_^
Been loving your reactions!
Thanks for the video💜
We appreciate you watching @Patata
Americans listening to "Gucci gang" laugh at us for liking BTS ... if you dont know "gucci gang" i just spoiled 90% if the song for you 😂😂😂
@Hawi hahaha true that 😂😂
Yes they have a lot of explanations... PLEASE REACT TO DAECHWITA EXPLAINED BY DKDKTV
Very good reaction. Loved it!
Thank you for listening so well about this video! And thank you for reading our comments as well! It’s something that most reactors do not understand, they just go pass one song to another and they don’t care about socially conscious lyrics, they don’t care about comments! Just know that when you ask, ARMY will always give you suggestions, insights and everything you need to know about BTS! Thank you so much for reacting!
💖
Alex you have a addictive smile on your face 😘 greetings from GERMANY
Ok I'm german and learned 5 languages so far, including arabic. Korean was easy and hard at the same time. In the beginning it's rather easy you can quickly learn how to read and pronounce words. The grammar though...Is VERY irregular. There are more exceptions than rules which makes it quite hard. I think it's one of those languages that needs to be spoken a lot while learning, studying from books only gets you that far.
I'm new scriber love your reacción, BTS is the best grup
hey! i have been studying Korean for about 6 years now and my first language is English.
Great! You checked this explanation video. Thank you!
I really enjoy y'all reactions and point of view and what you think about it like this entertainment for me to see someone else perspective whether they like it or not you know I luv it 🤘
Guys great reaction please react to 2019 bts MMA performance, its their performance for an award show. its really crazy
I need more reactions from you on BTS in my life
Black Swan (live on the James Corden show)
Cyphers (medley) lyrics
BTS (any song live) or BTS Carpool Karaoke
sorry for my automatic translator english🤪😂
Thank u for ur reaction.
Thank you for watching!!
Lmao I kept looking at your food
😂😂 it was definitely needed!! That was “Breakfast” 😂😂 Keep it Amicy!!!!
Amicy I just realized y’all are Haitian. I’m both Jamaican and Haitian. Just wanted to share
@Becky Ayeeeee That’s what’s up!!!!! 🇭🇹
@@Amicy I'm Hatian too 🔥🇭🇹🇭🇹🔥 just sharing 💜
4:06 Korean is very hard depending on what languages you already know. For example, if your primary language is English, then Korean, Japanese, Arabic, and Chinese could be very hard to learn while Spanish, French, Italian, and etc may be easier. I'm trying to learn Korean, French, Japanese, and Chinese right now while reinforcing my Spanish and Vietnamese. I don't think Korean is too hard, but I grew up around Koreans so I caught on fast. For me, Chinese is the hardest just because of all the kanji alphabet. At least Korean has the easiest alphabet.
i think i just fell for alex, he is so cute stopppp
17:36 Yess!
I'm wondering are you gonna read my comment as well? Thank you for your reaction💜.
Natrah heyyyy we read all of our comments lol!! Keep it Amocy!!!
@@Amicy Wow, that was fast reply😅😆..Keep up the good work y'all👍🏼

you should check out the four cyphers! the lyrics are also amazing, and they display their rap abilities in a mindblowing way
You should definitely watch more of the explanations, even when the songs are good and the translations may be somewhat questionable - when he explains the true meaning and all the wordplays you start to understand how thought out the lyrics are and the songs get even better. There are so many songs around that don't mean anything, that has stupid lyrics and get famous and popular - and then there are songs like this that go into actual problems in very clever ways.
well we appreciate u guys as well for giving BTS a chance.
I first started learning when I was 13, and I’m 19 now... and that was my way of learning, other people have different ways to learn as well
I can't wait for you to watch the explanation to DDAENG !
About learning a new language : I’m learning Japanese and you would be ecstatic to recognize any Japanese words of BTS Japanese records versions.
I’m not learning Korean on top of it or maybe later the alphabet because it is cool to understand mother tongue.
So James Bond and so good for the brain activity
So far I’m not fluent neither in créole nor Korean nor Thai nor Japanese or Cantonese but they produced drama so I’m picking words and expressions.
It expand the horizon

Yes, they explain a lot of BTS MVs and songs. You should watch DDAENG and DDAENG EXPLANATION too! Thanks guys!

The main (sure there is other detail for sure) is grammer korean and english is so different, beside the alphabet.
Lord!! The million dollar question to be able to read the language and not speak it... or Be able to Speak it but not write it?? Keep it Amicy!!!
Amicy I mean I can read korean so technically im speaking it but i dont understand what im reading and i for sure am not fluent and cannot understand a thing but if you give me a piece of paper with korean writing on ill read it

Great watching you two really take the effort to listen to DKDK's excellent explanations. Regarding your question about the Korean language, David explains BTS's song Paldogangsan (Satoori Rap), where they rap in some of the many dialects of Korea. RM, at 148 IQ, who learned English by watching Friends and rapping with western rappers, has said that the Korean language is hard because of pronunciation.
That is really dope!! Always fascinates us learning more and more about the different artist from people that actually know them.!!
yes DKDKTV does a lot of BTS songs breakdowns you should check their explanation of Ddaeng next
