Hey guys i love your reactions and i just subscribed to your channel! I just wanted to tell you this about BTS: they originally came from the small company who was on the edge of bankrupt... They debuted in 2013 and they were supposed to be a hip hop group, but the CEO decided to debut them as an idol group. But they were so different from others (and still are). While other idol groups were all about colorful costumes, catchy music with fun lyrics and cute dancing, BTS debuted with a lot harsher sound and an actual message to the youth. But they were ridiculed for their name, for their clothes (their company was poor so they didn’t have branded clothes, and they had to print names of the brands on them), for their looks, their style etc. Their debut track No More Dream was so different from others, it criticises society that diminishes the dreams of others & pressurises them to take a different path. They speak up against the absurdity of school as an institution & the social conditions that deprive youth of their dreams. As members of BTS mostly write and produce their own music, you could see that their mindset was so different from all the other groups (also most of other groups don’t even write their own music, the company does it for them). In their discography BTS discusses varying topics such as sociopolitical ills, education system, mental health, self-acceptance, human relationships, politics and so much more. They are not a typical kpop group. They struggled a lot to become who they are today. Bc they came from a small company no one believed they will succeed. You could react to some videos that show their struggles (this one is pretty good ( ruclips.net/video/NidD1d73tXI/видео.html ) What i love about them is that they actually have a lot of messages and meanings in their songs, which they stayed true to even now when they are global stars. In their latest album series for example, they explore Jungian psychology (as they struggle with the fame, they are trying to find their true selves so they are exploring different parts of one’s personality: persona, shadow, and ego. So that’s why no one thought BTS were going to make it, they were shut from media, mistreated, bullied by other fandoms etc. Fortunately, their fans have always been there for them, and that’s why BTS are si greatful to them, they wrote many songs dedicated to us! (one of the examples ruclips.net/video/7UWBYJjuIL0/видео.html ) BTS talks about everything they went through only through their music: understanding their lyrics means understanding them. For example, first two mixtapes from Suga and RM talk about their struggles with identity and anxiety since they were two who were the most criticized for leaving the rap scene to become idols. (listen to Suga’s ‘The Last’ and RM’s ‘Do You’, they also talk about this in ‘Cypher pt.1’) Also what’s special about them is that they are so close, i’ve never seen anything like it. And they are so humble! BTS really came a long way, from being underdogs from small company who slept in one room and were sharing flyers for their free concert on the streets, to global legends! JackiieVRM lmaoo i have this one in my drafts😂 bc in all the reactions i saw people are saying how confident bts are, how their mvs are expensive etc but they didn’t have it all on a silver platter, i just wanted to point that out! and also that there’s a reason why bts are different from other kpop groups :)
Hi guys :) glad you enjoyed finding about Ddaeng! I can't wait to see your reaction to UGH! Explained if you haven't checked it out already! It's another super clever one! Also, if you do what to Spieng day, it's a must to do some background research. 💜
dont feel dumb. usually we get lyric translations from our translator ARMY within about half an hour after a song release. But when this song released it took hours and many translators had to confirm with each other the meaning of this song. There were so many notes at the bottom of the written translations because its riddled with korean language and culture.
@@Amicy As far as I remember (fellow ARMY's correct me if I'm wrong), Yoongi actually loves coffee. Especially *Iced Americano!* Taehyung doesn't do coffee and alcohol much though.

The best thing about BTS songs is that there's always a WORLD of depth to it. However the beat and initial lyrics are so good that its up to you to go further or enjoy it at that level. Whether you want to vibe with the song, read the lyrics, understand the word play/ cultural and literary references, interpret it as a part of the album theme or connect it to the BU (Bangtan Universe: its an underlying storyline connecting all their music and mvs) its all up to you fam but i can guarantee this as an old army, it NEVER DISAPPOINTS and knowing more and understanding all the genius layers is worth it!
Thanks for reacting to this Alex and Allen!☺️I also recommend you watch some funny videos that show off their personality! We call them crack videos, a few I recommend are bts being extra af in America, don't put bts in the kitchen, bts being dramatic af
Bts rappers as u guys know ,can't be ranked. They all have specialties. Even u guys noticed that. Suga is his speed. He is super fast as yall know. Jhope is a very animated rapper(similar to nicki or doja cat's style, very fun and have a good flow). And rm has great flow but his main thing is wordplay. That's why he plays with languages and words with ease.
Don't feel bad for missing some of the hidden meanings in this track! BTS music can be enjoyed on many levels. It's totally fine if at first you just vibe to it. If find that when I want to appreciate a BTS Track fully, I follow this pattern: 1. The lyrics video 2. The dance practice/ choreo video ( if there is one) 3. The music video ( if there is one) 4. Explanation video ( if there is one) 5. A live concert video Obviously since you guys do reactions you might want to do MV'S first, but there is lots of content out there if you really want to get into it.
You enjoy BTS's songs and lyrics and as soon as you watch their behind the scenes or watch them interact with each other, you are done. You'll suddenly find yourself watching numerous of their videos of slice of life without realizing you fell down the rabbit hole. Lol
I love the 'only accel no brake' line in English because it could also be 'only excel no break' So not only does RM do crazy wordplay in Korean, but then he switches over to English to continue to do some extra wordplay 😂
It's always the same with bts, especially with the lyrics wrote by the rap line. They're so mindblowing. I had a good time watching your reaction guys, thanks!💜 You guys should react to the cypher series, there are 4parts.
Hello , I didn't know your channel when you guys did BTS but I got curious and watch all of your video and you guys are funny and give your honest opinion. So I added your channel and may I recommend " why is bts treated unfairly in Korea" and keep up the good work.
Yo, there is a lot of good music coming out of Korea besides BTS. Yall hip hop fans should check out Bermuda Triangle - Zico ft Dean, Crush, Run It - Jay Park, Sometimes I Hear Howlin' In My Head - Dean, Fire - Sik-K, Legacy - DPR Live then Kiss Me - DPR Live, Paradise - Millic ft Fanxy Child, Y - Fanxy Child, Young - BAEKHYUN ft Loco, The 7th Sense - NCT U, Regular (English ver) - NCT 127.
Don't feel bad you guys. Your reaction is EXACTLY how ARMY everywhere felt. RM is a pretty much genius level and he uses insane wordplay be it English or Korean, doesn't matter...BTS always have something deep to say.
When i first watched the explained video of ddaeng too, I was soooooo blown away, I didnt even know that they used the word ddaeng in so many different ways😮. And then Namjoon used it in 7 different ways!!!!! I was like you got to be kidding me!!!! but then again he is a genius after all!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
I really like your video like you two i really smart and i love the way you see this world and understand bts so keep on reacting to them love from uk :)
BTS are kings of double and triple entendre. That is something almost non-existence in the rap world these days. As well as kings of countless metaphors and allegories in other songs. Not talking about this video because it's rather a translation, but BTS is also very great at writing ambiguous enough lyrics so that it could be interpreted multiple ways (from their perspective but also from fans' or casual listeners' too). They usually tell us what THEY mean by the lyrics but they also encourage fans to have their own perspective and apply songs to their own life. Not to mention, there are things they can't say sometimes and which fans read between the lines based on BTS' past words and life stories. Still, there are always at least two perspectives - artist and who experiences the art. So their songs might have a specific meaning that BTS intended but also that doesn't mean it can't be something else for YOU. The only thing is that sometimes fans try to create some imaginary stories on behalf of BTS (as if from the members' perspective) and that's what I do not condone at all. Overall, DKDKTV and Bookish Theory are the best channels if you want to know songs/videos interpretations.
In my country there is a saying "cold coffee makes you beautiful." but many of us add to it "..But my stomach can't take what my face would need." ;D Also my bias loves iced americano's even in winter, even though he feels cold really easily.. (Suga) And those cold drinks in hot countries must be nice. It must be nice to live in a hot country.. I live in a cold country. Love to you from Northern Europe. I'm binge'ing through your videos, too interested to see the next one, to comment much. Sometimes I browse through the comments to see the thing commented that I wanted to say, so I just quickly touch like and fly on to your next video.
that's exactly how I feel when I read theories made by ARMY on twitter everything BTS comeback with new songs. I thought I understand the story of the song but reading different theories got me like "oh hell no girl that's just the general meaning, here's the in-depth explanation" I like lots of kpop groups but what makes BTS different is that they lowkey encourage or force the ARMY to read, gain more knowledge by making songs with deep messages. Am not saying other kpop groups are bad no. All of them have their own uniqueness.

I’m annoyed that there was no mention/addressing of Namjoon’s stutter verse. I don’t know why DKDKTV did not talk about it because it’s an added genius bonus to the song. It’s when Namjoon starts to stutter while rapping on purpose to mimic all these people who used to hate on them, but suddenly came back apologizing when BTS became huge but didn’t actually mean it. It’s my favorite part in the whole song.
Dude, its nice to see you guys reacting to bts.. I felt like you really enjoy what you were doing. Btw the ending song seems a lil bit too loud.. Lmaooo
LMAO the way I can totally relate to you like, I always think I connected the dots but in reality I haven't connected SHIT. 😂 They get me so ddaeng! Thank you for reacting again!
you guys should watch Silver Spoon ( Baepsae)!! that's a song BTS talks abour social and political norms, hypocrisy among other things but its fun to watch the dance.
Yeeeeey I'm so glad you did this!!! Other songs that really need their dkdktv explanation videos are Spinebreaker and Baepsae/Silver Spoon/Crow tit (the title has a few translations haha. Please do remember though that while Spring Day REALLY NEEDS the explanation video too, in this case I recommend a different one linked here!! ruclips.net/video/Tye1ONFeKis/видео.html Lastly, in your video the other day I noticed you asked about the song that was making you wanna cry during nobodies to legends, and I know you guys have been curious about the vocal line, so maybe you wanna check out "Epiphany" by Jin, one of the vocalists. He gets slept on sometimes tbh but he's a really solid vocalist and it's this song that was used in that video =) The video IS technically part of a long line of linked music videos and acted content called the bts universe or BU, but that's a whole other ball game and that series needs consumed in order with insane levels of focus to try to understand what's happening. Regardless, you could still watch Epiphany for the song and then just revisit it in the correct order when it becomes relevant if/when you finally get into the BU (which is an incredble ride let me tell you, and part of what makes BTS so unique and draws people into their orbit and makes dedicated fans of us haha =) It's always more than just music and dancing with them and nothing demonstrates that more than their BU storylines, which are even now being detailed in an ongoing comic XD Thanks for the videos again, you guys are cute and fun to watch hahaha, and for the record I'm sure many English speakers can relate to that feeling of catching a breath when you catch their English words XD Incidentally, there are a couple of songs that are mostly if not all in English by them, though they're rare and the're never the full band. One is actually Steve Aoki's song Waste It On Me which primarly has Jungkook singing on it as the main vocalist, with a rap verse from RM and I believe some support vocals from others too, maybe Jimin was it?? Another is from RM's most recent solo release called Mono; I'd call it a mixtape but it's actually very deliverately called a playlist by RM because it's meant to be experienced as a whole and in order, and considering that I ONLY recommend doing Mono as a whole in one sitting as a listening party styleso you get the full experience, I don't recommend exploring Mono in separated parts/the wrong order/inisolation for the first time around haha. If you're interested though let me know because Mono is honestly a masterpiece that I feel like really should have earned a grammy, it's an incredble piece of work st art to finish and includes a fully English song, and I have a playlist I made of the music videos that exist for it along with the best translatons of the others in the right order that I can link haha: ruclips.net/video/CHw5eEeg8ZI/видео.html
if you don't mind, you can see all the BTS songs and their explanations. It's like -baepsae -spine breaker -21st century girl -spring day -fake love -idol etc.

Looking forward to you next reaction!! “Cough” I love me some V, so you should check out Stigma Live!”cough”
Don’t worry 😂 even korean fans were losing their mind when the song dropped 😂 I guess they were all mind blown too. International fans had no chance 😂 I’m very grateful they kindly explained all the context 🥺
Everyone feels dumb at first lol. But instead you should feel smart that you read the comments, followed suggestions to watch DKDKTV so you can get your MIND BLOWN. lol. This is the only band I've ever had to look deeper at. And I'm loving it. You guys are very entertaining. Ask good questions. Have thoughtful insights. And have been really respectful of BTS right from the beginning of this journey. I enjoy following you.
Rm is a genius with 148 iq. He also rap stutterly on purpose in Ddaeng because other rapper used to mock him when he stuttered back in their early day (probably because of nervous or something) but now he use his 'stutter' (not really) as his trademark.
From one baby army to another. Start at the beginning and then you can delve into the BU (Bangtan Universe).. things compile. I look forward to watching your journey :D
I loved your reaction. I was smiling the whole way through it remembering my amazement when I first watched the explanation of DDAENG by the DKDKTV channel. I go to that channel now habitually for explanations first. Other channels are Bookish Theory and XCeleste.
No calling yourselves dumb! I'll not have it! :D BTS music and mvs are art like a painting or a piece of classical music. There is lots of room for interpretation of the feeling, the mood, the symbols. As the audience, they want you, even expect you, to bring your own thoughts, interpretations to the piece. Your initial view has wisdom and validity within it. After having more info, go back and have another look. Maybe you'll see something new or different. With BTS, the first listen is NEVER the end of the journey.
RM has a IQ of 148, he is almost a genius!! 💜💜✌😁
Almost? That score would mean he is.
Yeah ure right, he is a genius ✌✌💜💜🤗🤗

for cyphers this channel is good ruclips.net/channel/UCr_h1AKhI17kNyt0NcFx4AQ
Ella Ilic // Holy crap! You went on the mother of all rants! 😂 it’s cool though, I’m sure they’ll appreciate the info 👍
Yes! hahaha. BTS speaks in literal sense, metaphorical sense, etc. It takes an army to figure it out! (^.^) You aren't alone!!!
Hi guys :) glad you enjoyed finding about Ddaeng! I can't wait to see your reaction to UGH! Explained if you haven't checked it out already! It's another super clever one! Also, if you do what to Spieng day, it's a must to do some background research. 💜
@Sarah Heyy, we have done ugh explained and we will add spring day to the list to check out!! Thank you
dont feel dumb. usually we get lyric translations from our translator ARMY within about half an hour after a song release. But when this song released it took hours and many translators had to confirm with each other the meaning of this song. There were so many notes at the bottom of the written translations because its riddled with korean language and culture.
I can't trust people who drink tea or coffee cold. It has to be hot, I mean really HOT. I need to feel the hot water going down my throat😂
Haha but then what if you burn your tongue because of it
@@Amicy As far as I remember (fellow ARMY's correct me if I'm wrong), Yoongi actually loves coffee. Especially *Iced Americano!* Taehyung doesn't do coffee and alcohol much though.
@@Amicy As far as I remember (fellow ARMY's correct me if I'm wrong), Yoongi actually loves coffee. *Especially Iced Americano!* Taehyung doesn't really do alcohol and coffee though.
Yess RM Genius King uses always word play, He is King of poem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He speaks even always with word play
The best thing about BTS songs is that there's always a WORLD of depth to it. However the beat and initial lyrics are so good that its up to you to go further or enjoy it at that level.
Whether you want to vibe with the song, read the lyrics, understand the word play/ cultural and literary references, interpret it as a part of the album theme or connect it to the BU (Bangtan Universe: its an underlying storyline connecting all their music and mvs) its all up to you fam but i can guarantee this as an old army, it NEVER DISAPPOINTS and knowing more and understanding all the genius layers is worth it!
React to dimple nd pied piper live performance . U guys are amazing nd hilarious
I love your reactions by the way. You're so fun and relatable to hang out with 😄 and I love seeing you go 🤯 at the explanations 😂
@Sarah we appreciate you watching and the explanations shock us Everytime haha 🤗🤗
Literally every vid has an explanation. They are always on another level. They have their own Universe. Literally.
9:16 lmaooo "thank god!" took me OUT y'all too funny
PLS REACT TO CYPHER 1-4
Don't feel bad for missing some of the hidden meanings in this track! BTS music can be enjoyed on many levels. It's totally fine if at first you just vibe to it.
If find that when I want to appreciate a BTS Track fully, I follow this pattern: 1. The lyrics video 2. The dance practice/ choreo video ( if there is one) 3. The music video ( if there is one) 4. Explanation video ( if there is one) 5. A live concert video
Obviously since you guys do reactions you might want to do MV'S first, but there is lots of content out there if you really want to get into it.
BTS are lyrical geniuses.. there's always a new meaning into their songs..
RM is a genius......!!!!!!!
Just listened to this in the car as a podcast. Laughed out loud so many times.
@PointGreyMom Ayeee that’s wats up and haha we appreciate you 😁😂😂
That's why we say that BTS beyond of kpop!! 😉😉, the trilogy of love yourself is so 🤯🤯
You enjoy BTS's songs and lyrics and as soon as you watch their behind the scenes or watch them interact with each other, you are done. You'll suddenly find yourself watching numerous of their videos of slice of life without realizing you fell down the rabbit hole. Lol
We down that hole, can't see nothing haha
Love your reactions! Keep it up!
bts are the kings of making the explanation of their song longer than the actual lyrics wbk
Cant wait to see ur other reactions 💜💜💜
Lol RM is a true genius💜
RM and Suga are geniuses when they write lyrics- no one can be at their level
Guys I just wanna say that I really like your intro 👍🏼 and I loveeeee your chemistry, great energy and fun to watch 💜💜💜
Realmente es uno de los canales que tienen las mejores y creíbles reacciones!
I cannot agree more with Alex when it comes to coffee... it should only be drank hot
I love the 'only accel no brake' line in English because it could also be 'only excel no break'
So not only does RM do crazy wordplay in Korean, but then he switches over to English to continue to do some extra wordplay 😂
It's always the same with bts, especially with the lyrics wrote by the rap line. They're so mindblowing.
I had a good time watching your reaction guys, thanks!💜
You guys should react to the cypher series, there are 4parts.
I really really REALLY enjoy your reactions so much. Thank you. and I second the Baepsae recomendation :)
I really like your reaction guys!!!!
💜 your reaction!
Thank you
I love your reactions 😂
Don't feel bad you guys. Your reaction is EXACTLY how ARMY everywhere felt. RM is a pretty much genius level and he uses insane wordplay be it English or Korean, doesn't matter...BTS always have something deep to say.
When i first watched the explained video of ddaeng too, I was soooooo blown away, I didnt even know that they used the word ddaeng in so many different ways😮. And then Namjoon used it in 7 different ways!!!!! I was like you got to be kidding me!!!! but then again he is a genius after all!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
They are the GENIUS!
Awesome reaction😍
Thank you for watching!!
I really like your video like you two i really smart and i love the way you see this world and understand bts so keep on reacting to them love from uk :)
You guys are so hilarious XD Love it!
Like someone already said, RM's IQ is 148.
I'm so glad you've learned to watch explanation videos. You'll learn so much more of what BTS is about.
Camera couldn't handle RM's words
😂😂
Hello friends glad to see you guys reacting again to our amazing boys BTS 😊 thx plz keep them coming 🙂
In my country there is a saying "cold coffee makes you beautiful." but many of us add to it "..But my stomach can't take what my face would need." ;D
Also my bias loves iced americano's even in winter, even though he feels cold really easily.. (Suga)
And those cold drinks in hot countries must be nice.
I thought I understand the story of the song but reading different theories got me like "oh hell no girl that's just the general meaning, here's the in-depth explanation"
I like lots of kpop groups but what makes BTS different is that they lowkey encourage or force the ARMY to read, gain more knowledge by making songs with deep messages. Am not saying other kpop groups are bad no. All of them have their own uniqueness.
Please note that BIG HIT has started auditions and will start filming Sept ~ based on the following Storyline! This gives you time to react to most of them (Japanese ones pls watch dont react cos the J ones are very copyright strict)
Welcome! After watching the introduction videos suggested by other replies...
When you’re ready to Dive in,....
The marvelous BTS Universe fictional storyline runs through many songs and a few albums. (and may not be finished yet) All songs make better sense After going through the songs with an open mind. Note that none of the songs is “about a girl" and remember to watch til the End in each one. (After the credits if any) Tip: in I Need You (orig +19 ver) its about the relationship of the guys ie: Jungkookie & Suga (Yoongi) * Jimin & J~Hope (Hobi) * V (Taehyung) & RM (Joonie) * Jin plays a pivotal role.....
Here’s the List in order; chapter by chapter:

Enjoy the ride! ☺️😎:)🍿
PS: if you’re gonna react to BTS’ discography from beginning to now... This series is after their Dark & Wild album. 💕
I am looking forward to y'all starting at the beginning. It'll be nice to travel down the road with you.
Omg... you guys from now on coffee ☕️ and dessert 🧁 when I watch with you guys. So much better experience
👏👏👏💜🇬🇧💜 thank you - u guys always make me smile 😃
loving ur reactions!! listen to hip hop phile lyrics and live pls
You have checked DAENG and Persona already..so be sure to check next their sentimental songs-😊the 4 vocalists are really amazing🤗
You guys should please react to bts cypher series from 1-4
4:36 hahaha 😆 great example by the way!
Yes Rm Genius
Dude, its nice to see you guys reacting to bts.. I felt like you really enjoy what you were doing.
Btw the ending song seems a lil bit too loud.. Lmaooo
LMAO the way I can totally relate to you like, I always think I connected the dots but in reality I haven't connected SHIT. 😂 They get me so ddaeng!
Thank you for reacting again!
love your videos
you guys should watch Silver Spoon ( Baepsae)!! that's a song BTS talks abour social and political norms, hypocrisy among other things but its fun to watch the dance.
So sorry that RM has such a sexy brain. He's master of word play. 😎 That's why he's my bias 🥰
Yeeeeey I'm so glad you did this!!! Other songs that really need their dkdktv explanation videos are Spinebreaker and Baepsae/Silver Spoon/Crow tit (the title has a few translations haha. Please do remember though that while Spring Day REALLY NEEDS the explanation video too, in this case I recommend a different one linked here!!
ruclips.net/video/Tye1ONFeKis/видео.html
Lastly, in your video the other day I noticed you asked about the song that was making you wanna cry during nobodies to legends, and I know you guys have been curious about the vocal line, so maybe you wanna check out "Epiphany" by Jin, one of the vocalists. Regardless, you could still watch Epiphany for the song and then just revisit it in the correct order when it becomes relevant if/when you finally get into the BU (which is an incredble ride let me tell you, and part of what makes BTS so unique and draws people into their orbit and makes dedicated fans of us haha =) It's always more than just music and dancing with them and nothing demonstrates that more than their BU storylines, which are even now being detailed in an ongoing comic XD Thanks for the videos again, you guys are cute and fun to watch hahaha, and for the record I'm sure many English speakers can relate to that feeling of catching a breath when you catch their English words XD
Incidentally, there are a couple of songs that are mostly if not all in English by them, though they're rare and the're never the full band. If you're interested though let me know because Mono is honestly a masterpiece that I feel like really should have earned a grammy, it's an incredble piece of work st art to finish and includes a fully English song, and I have a playlist I made of the music videos that exist for it along with the best translatons of the others in the right order that I can link haha:

I'd like to see some fruits and vegetables on that plate instead of Krispy Kremes!!
Switch it up!!
Make it healthy!!
Love you both!! 😁💕💕💕
if you don't mind, you can see all the BTS songs and their explanations. It's like
-baepsae

You should react to some of their dance practices! There is nothing quite like our boys!! Loving your honest and real reactions as well as you interpretations and that you are able to take the advice and information that we give you and absorb it all! Looking forward to you next reaction!! “Cough” I love me some V, so you should check out Stigma Live!”cough”
Next react We ON, Cypher series, Born Singer
Don’t worry 😂 even korean fans were losing their mind when the song dropped 😂 I guess they were all mind blown too. International fans had no chance 😂 I’m very grateful they kindly explained all the context 🥺
We all international fans were surprised watching the explanation video 🤣
Everyone feels dumb at first lol. But instead you should feel smart that you read the comments, followed suggestions to watch DKDKTV so you can get your MIND BLOWN. lol. This is the only band I've ever had to look deeper at. And I'm loving it. You guys are very entertaining. Ask good questions. Have thoughtful insights. And have been really respectful of BTS right from the beginning of this journey. I enjoy following you.
Suga the genius produced ddaeng
BTS’ lyrics should be taught in school 💜 they make you think, use your brain.
After watching UGH reaction I had to come here!!!
😁😁😁😁💪🏾
Amicy subscribed
Thank you 😁😁
Lyrical geniuses 💜💜💜
Wait till you watched "Spring day" explanation 😭😳
Mit sy ikr 😢
Rm is a genius with 148 iq. He also rap stutterly on purpose in Ddaeng because other rapper used to mock him when he stuttered back in their early day (probably because of nervous or something) but now he use his 'stutter' (not really) as his trademark.
React to the vocal line, “house of cards”
