These actors are talented. It takes so much to crawl on a floor n pretend to be a realistic dragon, knowing your human. I think he did an amazing job along with all the other actors pretending to talk to nothing while cameras are watching.

No, the actors are NOT talented. Need I remind you that CHILDREN play make believe & dress up with just as much talent, which isn't that much talent. You don't need talent, just an imagination. A childs imagination. Hollywood "actors" are just adults STILL playing dress up & make believe.

      I agree!
It may look silly to people on the outside when viewed without special effects, but a whole bunch of voice actors (and practical actors) really need to go back to "method acting", i.e. actually acting out the scene of what your character does in the movie. It helps you get into the mindset, and really lets you express emotions for special effects artists to reference. They also could have a chance to improvise a scene, giving directors and Special Effects even more material to work with.
For a great example of this, pay attention to Johnny Depp in all of the Pirates movies. Almost half of what he did in them was by his own doing, and improvised/ad-libed during filming, "I've got a Jar of Dirt!" being the most famous example.

That takes amazing talent. Sitting on a pretend horse....riding it....ducking from branches that aren't even there....AND make it believable. To me, the funny side of this, or when actors are straight up being stupid, is when they mess up....the bloopers or them pulling pranks on each other. Not their craft and how they have to go about it.

All these movies were amazing and just because they had to wear a suit with dots on their faces doesn't mean they looked silly, it's pretty amazing how they got things to work so they could add in the CGI. We wouldn't be enjoying the movie without, unless you used puppets the whole time. Personally I don't think anyone looked goofy, silly or funny.
What they do just to get a movie or show to look like a fantasy land or a sci-fi environment is nothing short of extreme talent.
and to make fun of them for doing it is wrong.

I wonder if the skills of the actors are so articulated that they actually see what's is not there but it's supposed to be there. They have to be people with great imaginations, that get immerse into a story, into a situation, they feel and see what's around them and who they are.

You don’t need to reiterate everything is CGI made if that’s the whole point of the video, and it would be kinda moronic to think a fantasy reality or mystical creatures weren’t made with CGI

    • @Nostalgic_Lewis

I don’t think he was reiterating it, he was just narrating it bc what else would he call it, it’s literally with and without cgi😂

    • @clumsycitrus4079

@@Nostalgic_Lewis almost every section he makes a point along the lines of “guess what it’s CGI” which isn’t necessary as that’s the topic of the whole video and everything that’s gone over is going to be CGI.. I get what your saying but it’s how he’s introducing the different examples that I’m talking about

I loved the Twilight series books! And I grew to enjoy the movies. I still read the books (in hardcover) to this day & I periodically watch the movies. I wasn’t a teenager, at all, when the books were released & neither was my sister, who put me onto them. We were both in our mid-30s. So, Twilight isn’t just for teens😁.

My sister and I were in our late 20s when we read them. I loved the books way before the movies came out. I kinda lost intrest in the movies when they got super popular and too commercialized.

Guillermo Del Toro doesn't like using CGI and nearly all of his fantasy films use practical affects. I worked in SFX make up in film for a decade and had the chance to work alongside people who created a lot of the make-ups for his films.
