Mega Man X, known in Japan as Rockman X, is an action-platform video game developed and published by Capcom for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It was the first Mega Man game for the 16-bit console and the first game in the Mega Man X series, a spin-off of the original Mega Man series that began on the SNES's predecessor, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Mega Man X was first released in Japan on December 17, 1993 and was released in both North America and Europe the following year. Taking place a century after the original Mega Man series, Mega Man X is set in a futuristic world populated by both humans and "Reploids", robots capable of thinking, feeling, and growing like their human creators. Because of these complex attributes, many Reploids are prone to destructive, criminal activity and are thereafter referred to as "Mavericks". The plot of the game follows the protagonist Mega Man X, an android member of a military task force called the "Maverick Hunters". With the help of his partner Zero, X must thwart the plans of Sigma, a powerful Maverick leader wishing to bring about human extinction.
With the transition to more advanced gaming hardware, series artist Keiji Inafune explained that the development of Mega Man X involved reinventing Mega Man through gameplay expansion and a more mature storyline while still maintaining the basic concepts on which the franchise was built. Much like the NES Mega Man games that came before it, Mega Man X is a standard action-platform game where the player takes control of the eponymous character and must complete a set of eight, initial stages in any order desired. Defeating the boss character at the end of each stage grants the player one new weapon that can then be toggled and used at will for the remainder of the game. However, Mega Man X adds a number of new features and makes radical changes to the original gameplay mechanics of previous releases in the series. These include allowing the player to dash along the ground, scale walls, and obtain armor attachments which grant special abilities.
Mega Man X has met with positive reviews for its gameplay, sound, and graphics, as well as its attempt to augment the aging Mega Man franchise. A longterm commercial success on the SNES, Mega Man X has since been ported to personal computers (PCs) and mobile devices, included in the North American Mega Man X Collection for the Nintendo GameCube and PlayStation 2 (PS2), and released on the Virtual Console download service for the Wii, the Wii U, and the New Nintendo 3DS. The game also received a remake on the PlayStation Portable (PSP) titled Mega Man Maverick Hunter X. Nintendo re-released Mega Man X in the United States in September 2017 as part of the company's Super NES Classic Edition.

FANTASTIC! Please do Mega Man 2 Gameboy! You're amazing
Boomer kuwanger is one of the best soundtrack i've heard👍👍👍👍👍🎉🎉🎉🎉
Is this the same music as your maverick hunter x playlist? Or are they different version?
Amazing, just amazing!
Storm eagle no más tu 😁
>guitar playthrough
"Well that sounds novel but I doubt playing the _entire_ soundtrack for a game's playthrough will be-"
>Mega Man X
"CRANK THAT SHIT UP"
Word
I just watched an hour and nineteen minutes of perfection...
I hope you mean the music cause whoever did the gameplay footage was terrible lol!
Dargonhuman Don't watch.
Haha! I'm here for the godly fantastic music more than the video so that's good advice.
He beat the game without dying once...?
Ancroz Azure you lying
Spark Mandrill: Forgettable stage in the context of the game but that theme is immortal.
in the context? hell na, best stage design, and you had to redo it many times to get "hadouken"
@@franciscopen1681 I actually never did a full completion run of X1
@@franciscopen1681
Hadouken was in Armored Armadillo's stage, my dude.
But I agree that Spark's stage was pretty interesting.
The electricity and changing light and dark was novel. And if you did his after Storm Eagle's stage, the power plant would be wrecked from the falling ship and the electrical hazards would be gone, but more of the stage would be darker, which was a neat touch demonstrating the effect of your actions upon the world.
Armored armadillo is also legendary
@@wanderingcalamity360 Man I gotta do some replays of X1
Oh man, X and X2 will always hold a special place in my heart
why not X3
@@maxuelmiranda7645 Zero's theme in X3 is short but such an intense piece its possibly one of the best rock songs in games OST ever!
22:01 Yo! This song is really good!
Im big booooyyy!
I honestly just watched this video to hear Spark mandrill. The song is actually pretty good.
@@anatoligameplay6101 I'm a MEGA MAN O_O
I'm a big boy.
I can help!
Ya little baby boo bop
I love the somber strings but the determined piano for Dr Light's theme. It is so perfect to show that he's gone but wants you to continue fighting.
1:08:52 Dude, I'm so glad you took your time to defeat sigma's first form. That's a real banger right there.
1:08:14 amazing
HADUKEN

I was not reading for an Owned Counter
I see some TFS owned thing here, perfectly sweet :3

Sigma: “No!!! It’s not possible! I’m a reploid! I can’t be destroyed by you!
X: “I’m the original, Bitch! You’re just a derivative of me!”
This is how i heard the soundtrack in my mind as a kid, just pure shredding the whole time, the music designers on mega man x really understood rock and roll, makes sense really
Opening stage and spark mandrill are my 2 favs .... absolutely astounding job.... its like crack to my ears ... not to mention the nostalgia! :)
22:01 My favorite song from this game.
You put the "master" in "remastered." This is such a clean rock remake it's awesome! Good gravy, I couldn't get enough of your Variable X cover.
Four years later... I fixed that typo. No more record scratch for you :)
Dude, this was awesome.
Syncing your covers to a playthrough was an outstanding touch that really tied everything together and added to the presentation.
Outstanding job with this!
🤘😈🤘
Dude you did the stage select theme perfectly, percussion and all! A big hell yeah to you MET
"Cast Roll" sounds like what it sounded like in my head when I was growing up. Thanks for the tunes!
Fuckinh love this soundtrack, and this is exactly what I was looking for. A metal remake, thank you my good sir! Just want you to know I hold this OST to such high esteem so you picked an awesome one to cover
These songs are so fantastic, it really bugs me that we can only hear some of them so briefly. It’d be awesome if looped versions were posted.
Loved how you had the MHX ending theme as the opening. It's so beautiful
where can i find this theme? i was wondering what that was.
I planned to watch that in two times, ended up staying in front on my TV till the end.
One does not simply stop listening to that music AND watching the game.
An Outstanding job like always Man, thanks for the hard work. I hope you really enjoyed doing this as much as i am sure everyone else will appreciate it.
Spark Mandrill theme is awesome
The bass in Sigma Stage One is magic.
Awesome job, love the stage select music! That’s my favorite track on this game!
This guy is radder than I could ever hope to be. Truly a god among men.
This video properly illustrates the wonder and amazement of the game that I felt as a child
The soundtrack was/is excellent
The passcode screen, always so sad but happy at the same time.
I've been a fan of Megaman games ever since i was a kid, now that I'm old I've been searching for the best metal cover for this game...... now finally i found the best of the best.
the goosebumps...
the energy i get from listening to this...
hands down.
Bro the amount of work that went into this... it is not lost on me. Incredible job, it makes me super happy as I revisit this OST all the time. Thanks for putting this out!
7:46 - What a bass! fantastic!
Sting Camileon
Amazing job. Boy that bassplayer MURDERED the first sigma stage ost.
Weird to be looking for a grenade man cover and accidentally find the most underrated yt channel ever
I love watching these, one of the most unique playthroughs out there
6:44 Best stage select guitar ever!
45:40 Only now do I realize this is the sound of knowing when to walk away from something. Realizing you have full autonomy over everything that happens in your life and finally using it.
This madman goes so hard that you can actually hear the pick scratching lol
Spark Mandrill is easily top 5 tracks for all MM games. It's just such a jam!
Love your work on these. Does the games much justice.
Loved it, especially Storm Eagle AKA Best Maverick
22:00 for those watching therminal montage megaman video.
This is absolutly amazing!!! What an effort! Wow I'm speechless
Chorus on the opening stage theme is still about the most metal thing ever
Just discovered this. Damn it is so good! Instantly downloaded the album on bandcamp. Love it!
We need this to be an MSU-1 audio mod for Mega Man X (and all of your playthrough covers for their respective games).
EDIT (April 8, 2019): I'm late. It has happened! zeldix's website.
Spark Mandrill Theme 🤟🏻
After all these years, at my 34 years, is STILL the game I play most. This is for me, perfection, and I couldn't ask more
I could listen to this entire video all day
You really added a whole new layer of art to this game. I hope you're proud of your talents because they brought a lot of joy to myself and everyone else here.
This is Legendary man. Great choice is guitar tones.
Hey thanks for this video! I watched it all day at work and am super hype about how much work you put into this.
I’m so happy you decided to keep in Zero’s buster powering up when he’s introduced, it’s too epic to leave out honestly!
That sound always gives me chills legit
Fantastic!I can enjoy this guitar playthrough all over again.
49:40 he makes a hadouken lol
1:08:18 He knows exactly what he did
He missed a hadoken *fixed that for you*
Mom worked a lot to provide for me so daycare was my social life. When the La Petite gained a SNES, MMX was natural to me since I conquered MM²-4. I had NO idea how much MUSIC could be evilated on MMX! This Video is the musical Love Letter that EVERY mega man X fan needs to hear!
Thank You Artists 👊
Awesome!!!! I've heard many remixes before but yours are the best because you literally did them all! Sigma Stage 1 was amazing. No one remixes.
Love the opening stage theme. Really does sound like a city crumbling
EVERY YES
From the intro to title screen to first level music... ONWARDS! Just yes!!!
Dude I have to say, I found your channel like 30min ago, and wow, is already one of my favorites ever. Subscribed
Love your rhythm tone, so heavy and chunky!
Really have to give you props for using the end theme of Maverick hunter x for the intro. Excellent idea
what a beautiful soundtrack !!
has to download to listen and in my car
zero's theme coming in was perfect
_Perfect_ *_X_*
Wow. The ending and cast roll tracks were my favorite part. The rest was a headbanger. Never stop rockin'.
Woooooooooow!! Dude. This is so absolutely amazing! Well done!
I realized that Sigma's goal changed in first game i.e. Reploid superiority and formation of a Reploid nation (sadly at the expense of human race) to a more selfish goal as seen in Rockman X4 to use reploids just for his own means (even though they could have coexisted in peace) to just reploid evolution (deeming old reploid models as obsolete in RockmanX7 &*)
That Velguarder fight was glorious.
This is the closest I heard to anyone nailing the mood to these tunes. Well played!
Perfect! Congratulations, man!
39:00 Cool guys don't look at explosions.
why the explosions are freaking awesome
This was incredible! Mega Man X is and long has been my favorite game of all time, and you absolutely nailed the music. Truly, genuinely amazing.
perfect for shoulder day at the gym 🙌
REALLY cool concept. I had to hit like on the Zero entrance. Awesome stuff!
Best lemon shooter game ever made even better by this music.
1:12 damn!!
The Hadouken was a great touch lol. I remember Sigma's dog being one of the easier bosses to perform the attack on because you could stock up on life energy right before the fight haha
Sigma's first form is too if you just let him jump up & wall dash. Just wait for him to land back on the right hand side &... HADOUKEN!
Thanks for the passwords, needed those.
It's an amazing remix of all the music of Megaman X, today I worked with this playlist and wow, it was great!
He llorado de nostalgia con esto.. Soy guitarrista y de niño fui muy fanático de este juego, gracias por este video.
Damn, that Zero entrance hits so hard.
Dude , this is awesome , congratulation !
22:01 Yo! That song is REALLY good!
I have never rocked so hard in my life. Thanks dude!!!
This is the Bestest of the BEST! Deserves 10mil views!
This is so bad ass. Great work, brother.
Liked and subbed - amazing work 🤩
I literally Jaw Dropped when the level started, THIS is what is ALWAYS should have sounded like.
HOW THE FUCK DID I JUST NOW FIND OUT ABOUT THIS??? I seriously just headbanged for an hour straight
Dá até uma nostalgia e também imaginar como seria um remake com a trilha sonora toda remasterizada dessa forma. Fantastico!
It gives a nostalgia and also imagine how it would be a remake with the soundtrack all remastered that way. Fantastic!
Wow. Perfection in thrash form. You nailed this soundtrack from start to finish. I prefer this over every version to date. You have major talent, man. Maybe try another favorite soundtrack of mine in Actraiser. Not many have the talent to make it their own and sound good, but you pull it down with ease. (9.5/10) the original I gave 8.5/10, consider me a fan!
i just listening for all the time sinse i discover this pearl !! thanks man!
Man Staff Roll always gets me
I want a Megaman X live action movie with THIS very soundtrack.
my dad made this comment XD
I wish the new MMX collection that is on the works would have this as an alternate OST
mods is the only way
Personally I think this music sounds too amateur to be in a game (Not even faithful to the original instrumentation) but I am not saying is bad either.
As a fan work is good.
@@baulretromx4375 I agree. If it only was a bit more faithfull to the original OST, could be an alternative soundtrack to the game.
AST is the word
@@derecker1 TANTO FAZ CARAIIII[O[OOOOOO
The bass sounds so good in all of these
jak zawsze super robota :D
Fantastic tunes, it's keeping me motivated as I translate this manual from Japanese to English. Keep up the great work.
Too good. Can't get enough of this
やっぱオープニングステージの曲いいよな

06:42 Hell yeah, let's get it on! 😆
