Dorset Hobby Falcons: Chick #1 hatches and has a good day 🐣 2023 Jul 5

Fans were happy to see this nest come online today with the arrival of chick #1. This hobby falcon pair has returned for the third year.

Mum wil do a lot of miles dancing around this nest that is circular , ,,,
I too folow this the past years and the chics always fledge ok .

Oh, a new-to-me species/nest to fall down the rabbit hole with! Excellent. :D Am I right that these are probably Eurasian hobbies/F. subbuteo?
They're beautiful, and I love #1 crawling back in the eggshell--what a goof. A very relatable mood some days! Hopefully hatching of the others goes well; I love Soledad but enjoy seeing multiple eyasses in one nest.
