Sorry I realise this video is a year old but how did you do the sliding windows? Just doing mine now and finding the sliding is lifting the film material.
I don't remember having an issue with the slding window. I'm not sure how I would stop it lifting, maybe your seal is tight or something. They do the windows in car doors which lift up and down so it should be possible to make it work. Good luck.
Hi! How did you get all the excess water out of the bottom seal, it’s keeping my sliding Hiace window tint from drying. I don’t have the nice black border on them either so you can see all the way up and down to the seals 🤔 Any tricks? Thanks!
It can be a real problem. You could try using a heat gun or a hair dryer to get rid of any dampness. It does make it alot easier if there is a border on you windows. I do have a couple of dodgy bits, sometimes you can only do your best. Overall I am very pleased with my results. Good luck.
@@SPANNERRASH thank you! I’d only done one window and ended up scrapping it and improvising a bit. I added a 2” border of tint to the top and bottom - they’ve already dried nicely since not as much water was required! Next, I plan to layer the full sheet of tint over those, but not all the way to the top behind the seals, allowing more water out into the felt sitting at the bottom (instead of filling up the window tray). Hopefully it works!
Wasn't that a different guy finishing it off?, maybe a pro, lol. I don't think tinting is that easy and when it's speed up like in this vid it gives an even more deceptive quality to a somewhat tricky task. But good job.
We do work as a team, so you may see two different characters. But no we didn't get in a Pro, it was all our own work. And some of it we are proud of ;) Slow and steady with scrupulous cleanliness gets the best result, oh and maybe a bit of judicious hair dryer use.
Good video ... easiest and clearest ive seen yet - Im gona have a go at my campervan now ,,,, VERY DARK TINT
Cheers Mick! Good luck tinting your own camper windows. Take your time with it :)

I get you're doing DIY but there's quite a bit of contamination in there, you gotta squeegee the window. Is there any local companies doing tint?
Your right, cleanliness is key. Getting better all the time though.
