How do you connect it to mixer ? I am trying to figure out how to connect my Emu E5000 Ultra and D-110 Sound Module ? Please help

    Thanks for that!
I bought a JD-08 earlier this year along with the tiny keyboard that goes with it. But also having a JD-800, I found that the keyboard doesn’t do the unit justice as far as tonal range. I also have a Yamaha YC-88 that I was wondering if I could interface it with, so I’ll try this out.

Excuse me, where does the sound come from? Is the Keytar connected to the computer? Via USB? Thank you for your video.

Do you find the connector to the K25-m hard to input? I've been trying for a LONG time to get it to properly connect....any tricks?

This is how I expected it would work, but for some reason it's only allowing me to use the ribbon controller and not responding at all to an external midi controller routed into it normally

Is it set to midi channel 1? (in case you didn’t know, hold press Manuel and press number 2 for midi channel select... the number /button flashing will be the current channel it’s set to, so press channel one as this is the default channel.)

So what do you do if you want to connect the Roland to the average controller, say a Samson 32, which does not have MIDI sockets but only USB-Midi?
Please tell me it is possible!!

You need a MIDI hub host just like this one -> miditech.de/userfiles/manuals/USB_Midi_Host_DEU_ENG_230717.pdf

does your external MIDI controller need wall power to control the Boutique? Testing this out, I couldn't get the boutique to work unless I powered the MIDI keyboard with an adapter??
I'm curious cause the adapter I used I just found to test out but don't want to use this setup since its not a manufacture approved power supply

Please help me please, I just want the boutique for its pitch/mod wheel feature. I'd like to know if I can just use the modulation/pitch slider from the boutique to control my piano that doesn't have a pitch/mod wheel. Using the Out midi from boutique to the In midi on my piano.if it works, would it mess up my 192 polyphony on my piano ? :/ Thank u kind sir

Is there a way to run a Roland Boutique Module from an External MIDI Keyboard, but also use the K-25m to run an external module (other than the one it's ribboned up to?
I have a VP-03 that with the Vocoder, Choir or Strings might want to use full chords on a 49-61 Note Keyboard on.
I also own a Volca FM and Volca Bass (actually it does a usable Monophonic Lead as well as Bass) that could be sufficiently played on the K-25m.
Could this be done by way of using a Local Off (I don't know if it has this capabilitiy) on the K-25m and selecting different MIDI channels?

yea I got that weird crackling sound when I first powered on my JU 06. I made sure the midi channel was corresponding to my controller and the noise was gone. I know that sound is the type of sound you hear if you plug a midi out to a midi out so pretty sure its a midi based issue. hope that helps.

Great video! Can you tell me how to do this but with a Roland Juno DS61? I want to use a keytar style midi controller and use it to trigger the vocoder inside the Juno DS61. How can I do this?

If I was to get 2-3 of the roland Boutique Synths, how would I go about hooking all of them up to my Midi controller? does it just go midi in of one to the midi out of the next and so on and the last one being my controller?

  • @mpingo91

this is a total noob question but do I need to use a computer/daw to use the boutique through a midi controller or can I just plug it straight in through the midi cable? (I use a roland rd-64 and would rather not bring a laptop to use the boutiques live, thanks!)

    • @nycpny8396

Andre you can plug the boutique into the midi controller and use the boutique synth as a sound module, playing its sounds from the midi controller,Roland actually sells a small mini keyboard for the boutique synths for $99

what if i want the audio to come from my computer's speaker, after connecting my boutique and midi controller with a midi cable, what should i do next? thank you.

morning toast I'm not sure exactly, but if you want the sound to come thru computer speaker, it needs to be connected to the computer.

I'm going to find the answer to this with a quick phone call to my music store which is: "Does it really matter there is only one audio output?" In other words you can't use balanced TRS stereo audio cables we only have one unbalanced Mono audio for the entire Roland Boutique range.

  • @RichardOlpin

I can't believe you seriously needed a whole video to explain that to use a controller keyboard with a synth module you need to connect the midi out from the keyboard to the midi in of the module.
Seriously? Just how thick do you think people are?

    • @minermike61
      @minermike61 6 лет назад +2

Richard, I'm going to guess that you're probably closer to my age and likely that you understand these things. Nowadays we've got newer generations that don't read and also don't seem to have that natural ability to figure things out. Everything has to be explained to them which is why they need smart phones. They let their phones do the thinking for them. It used to be that you just figure it out. They can't help it.
