    So many beautiful and creative things. I enjoy pottery and art glass, but will likely never make anything in clay but I really enjoy seeing your students' and work. Personally, I prefer your hand-drawn flowers on those rainbow mugs -- they stand out better than on the stenciled ones -- they seem to have more life to them. I loved the spider web/spider plate and bits -- such a dramatic look. The black on the cream is visually arresting. Also, your students are so clever and enterprising. Loved it all. Thank you for sharing :)

    Nice student stuff, congrats to you and them. The slip trail, paint and other technique really give them the spicy zip to carry them through. Appreciate the slid show.

    The footprints on the bottoms of those dyno-mugs! 😍
    You and your students have such great imaginations. Very inspiring! I had some sliptrailing that was trying to detach. I sprayed it with water, and pushed it back down. It's drying under plastic, so we'll see. At the worst, it can get scraped off, right?
    There are so many cute things in this load, it hard to pick a favorite! I enjoyed every minute of watching!

    New tip I learned - use cookies to raise the height a tad 👍🏼 Nice results with your colored slip. I am just going to venture into that but have been hesitant - motivation to get started - I'll check your play list to see if you did a video on it - always nice to see someone actually doing it. Hope you get some relief from the heat ❤

    I can agree with you, our summers are 40 Celsius plus and it is hot, luckily our club studio has AC, plus a pool.
    In my previous home studio, I would glaze for a while get hot jump into the pool, fully clothed. Then get out and continue glazing, at 5pm my husband would come home, bring me a Whisky and cook dinner. Then we would load the kiln. It was a 37cbft gas kiln and would take a lot of pots. There would be at least three glaze loads. I now live in a retirement Village the best in Australia if not the world, I would not live anywhere else, I am 83 and have been potting for over 40 years, I love teaching. But I still yearn for my gas kiln at a temp of Cone 13, it is such a come down to be at cone 8/9 I have to learn all over again with the glazes which interacts with what and does not go over and stick to the shelves. I love watching your videos and talking to all, you give me ideas to try and expand upon. I think that you are very very good and your students are lucky to have you for their teacher.

    • @hobblecreekpottery
      @hobblecreekpottery  Год назад

      Oh wow! Thank you sooo much. I'm really pushing for a pool. Jumping in to cool off while glazing would be the ideal solution. I'm sure it would make me a better potter. 😀
