Just installed Cakewalk yesterday. Pleasantly surprised by how amazing this free DAW is. Those THR3 amps and FX pedals are pretty good. The reverb selection on the pro channel strips are amazing. What a great freebie, thanks.
@@garcemac Developers update Cakewalk very frequently. And why the hell are you telling that Cakewalk isn't a real DAW?? Can you tell a single "real DAW" feature that is not included in Cakewalk???
Once you download the DAW and open the TH3 plug-in, the licence is called "cakewalk version" or something. Is there a way to open that version (not full) in other DAW with that licence?
Hello, i 've got a problem with th3 on cakewal...if i record a track withmy guitar ,i can apply effects with th3 after....but i can't ear effects before recording a track ( just ear clean guitar) .do you have a solution? Thanks
What I'm wondering is how to get access to the hundreds of effects and amps that don't come with the free version of Cakewalk? I can't find a single thing online of how to use them. When I click on any of them, it asks for an authorization number but I have no idea where to find or get that?
When I try to use the plugin I hear, in my headphones,a clean guitar ,without the plugin ,alongside the guitar with the plugin.Whats up with that? To further explain, say I select a crunch sound.I hear the crunch sound but at the same time I hear a guitar with a clean sound, essentialy making the plugin worthless to me.
thank you...easy to understand...it works but I can't hear the THR FX sounds before recording them. Does that mean I have to to record a pure guitar signal first and can hear the THR FX only after being recorded and added?
that has to do with the direct monitoring. unless you turn on monitoring in the daw (which might have some latency), then yeah youll have to record it and the pedal effects will come in the recording after. (im not like 100% sure but thats how it was in my experience)
I just have a question. I hear a hissing sound or sometimes a noisy feedback from the presets. I'm wondering if the cheap audio interface i have has something to do with it? Speakers are good, guitar pick uo and cable is good i'm not a big fan of too much noise gate.
No, but if you open it another DAW (FLStudios in my case) you get 15days all access to four different genera's including "everything". The other three are a certain style/amp demo. And if you go off line it gives you 10 minutes of everything, indefinitely so far.
I hear more of my clean tone then the effects of the amp and pedals. I've looked all around and read the manual but I can't seem to figure out how to correct this. Any ideas?
Mine was working last week, came back and it wasn't working the same. Got TH3 back up but now everytime I strum my guitar there is a 1/2 second delay that wasn't there before...any idea why? I just started trying to add drum tracks to the mix so maybe that is messing it up?
I am new with this recording with my scarlett 2i2. I have a Bass and is there a reason why I should choose "left focusrite input" instead of stereo focusrite? Its a bit strange to hear my instrument only on the left ear of my headphones
I wonder if it's different with the focusrite. When I record with my presonus audiobox, if I record in stereo, it attempts to pick up the left input on one channel, and then the right input on the other channel. Selecting the actual input you're using should give you a mono track you hear in both ears.
Hi, Idk if you'll read this but do you know how to set hotkeys for th3 guitar effect pedals, such as on/off? I want to use computer kb key as the pedal. Let me know. Appreciate it.
Yes it remains free but there's some features, like different amps, cabinets, and effects, that are only available in the paid version. If you're fine using the limited version, then it's no problem. That's all I was showing in this video.
The DAW itself and all its features are completely free. If you want to install extra plugins or amp simps like the TH3, those need to be paid for, if they're not free themselves. The DAW already comes with TH3's simpler version, which is fine, but doesn't have 200+ things in it like the licensed version.
Extra item/addendum - Double clicking on the speaker cab will pull up a screen for setting mic levels, invert phasing and rear mic, + ambient room type ... Edit/Addendum 2; What does one call a drummer who's been dumped by his girlfriend? Homeless.

Yeah but you can't use Overloud with a real DAW. Cakewalk is about ten years outof date. If you want a free modern DAW try Reaper.

After few days no more good
You taught me exactly what I needed to know in less than 6 minutes, thank you!
By Far the best cakewalk help on the WEB
Have you been able to set up a midi controller to the WAH pedal? I cannot get it to recognize a controller??

Thanks for the info... Can we apply effects on pre recorded acoustic guitar mp3 in cakewalk to make it sound better

Can you tell me what is happening in my situation? I'm hearing my guitar even without being in a daw, is it something normal or i should fix it

There's a slight delay, how do I get rid of this if I can?
Do they still have TH-3 in this?
So basically TH3 is a demo version? What's included in the non-demo one? And could I get it? Thanks
Could not get that working. I can hear the clean guitar but there's no signal going to that plugin????
Nice tutorial you got any more cakewalk tutorials coming?
RUclips channel Creative Sauce has a bunch of great tutorials for Cakewalk
Why can I only choose 3 mics? There are multiple mics that are shown but are not available to use?

Hi I can only hear bussing sound when trying to use TH3. What seems to be the problem?
good information, thanks! Just one thing, when I monitor the instrument it makes noises. any ideas about that? thanks in advance!

You will have to install a noise gate preferably after the amp simulator ( th3 in this case)
Since band lab cakewalk is now free, have they unlocked all the functions that were pay for use before?

Do you have input monitoring enabled on your audio interface ? Turn that off if you’re using input monitoring in the DAW.
@@YourHomeRecording I have the Evo 16 interface. I'll check it out thank you!

If your drums are using too much of your CPU processing power then not enough power is going into processing the guitar which causes the delay.

i can see that catwalk can hear my guitar but i cant hear it in my soundsytem... why? need headphones?
I have a free version and whenever i try to use this it's so noisy and distorted I dont know what's wrong? I hope someone can help me
All i hear in my headphones is feedback. Like when a mic is near a speaker. Screeching sound. How to solve this?
By simply taking the mic away from the speaker 😂

so what if i dot have a guitar?
can you do a video on how to use the built in arpeggiator ..?
anyone know how to actually get a playable guitar in cakewalk
Is this version free forever? Or is it a demo version or something? (TH3)

the FX wont show up for me
Just click on the "word" TH3 which is found in several different places. The effects are below the amps and speakers.
Thank u sir 🙏
There is not a guitar session in my TH3.
Man, all of these menus have changed and even the official KB articles from BandLab are showing the outdated menus lol. F me I guess
