Michael Sell nope this guy said they are a reminder of the heart and soul that gave birth to gaming...yes i know about the gaming crash buy thats not what he refered to...that's a fact
The love and respect Nintendo gives to the gaming world is insane, from consistently making great first party titles to innovating. Now they're doing this and I don't even know what it is but damn it is wonderful
Like exactly this is big there's no way anyone else could do something like this and pull it off without being a direct rip off Nintendo labo so they're basically going all out
Brandon Marks lol sure. I don’t really have a dog in the fight so call it what you want. All I know is, for better or worse, there’s a zero percent chance you’d see Sony or Microsoft doing this. That being said, I’d certainly never spend such an absurd amount of money on cardboard.
If I had kids and they wanted this, I would buy it for them in a heart beat. Toys you get to build, color, and play video games with. That's my childhood dream right there. It's these kinds of toys that inspired me go into an engineering career.
This looks incredible for children. I will definitely be buying this for my niece. She loves to build things. This Christmas she built a whole ginger bread house and train station by herself. I definitely see the appeal. I can already see my niece having a blast creating the sets. I can also imagine her face when she realizes that she’ll be able to interact with what she creates. My only complaint is that it does seem a bit pricey for cardboard parts.
I know this would be a outdated comment but you need a switch or switch oled to play with these or you could get a switch lite and use joycons seperatly but that isnt really recommended also i can confirm the oled works perfectly with all these kits except for the vr kit the pixes are different and the screen is larger so some stuff isnt gonna look right but besides that you can still play all four kits fine
Hindsight is always 20/20, and 6 years later and we can all now clearly see now that Labo is the future of gaming, and the single greatest implementation of VR to date.
at 1st i thought of the switch "meh, just another tab with joypads, with better games i guess", but today, this changes my mind!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!
Just you wait till everybody starts complaining that the cardboard and the ropes break easily when playing. Followed closely by saying that the controllers aren't as responsive as in the trailer.
Nintendo Ceo "What can make this console appeal to a younger audience and really drive sales?" Nintendo sales team "Cardboard, lots and lots of fucking cardboard."
Interesting concept - especially for family projects and children's media. Looking forward to seeing how this effects the youth - and hoping that it inspires a level of creativity and engineering. Only problem is the price tag. Not sure these things should be much more than a few bucks each - but with the amount of work that has gone into the software and the custom machining for production - I'm betting that these flaps of paper pulp are going to make people retire from the LABO in perpetuity.
Not sure what to think. On one hand, I'm really not interested in this. But I'm 31 and have my own little workshop in the back of my garage. For kids... This is great. This is a great innovative way to spark the imaginations of children. Kudos, Nintendo.
2023. I'm a marketer who believed that Nintendo would swallow the market with this new product. It did not. There may be a few reasons, but the most obvious one has to do with the cost and value. C'mon Nintendo! 50, 60 80 dollars for cardboard? You know how cardboard is perceived, don't you? You could have used the lego strategy and made your products our of reliable plastic. Dude! This product can still be a success. All you have to do is change the materials you use for the labo.
i really want a switch and this trailer really changed my mind in a couple of seconds of what i think of this but please dont charge 60 or more for cardboard
So, nintendo's answer to VR is cardboard peripherals only used on a bunch of games people likely won't even play, this seems like more Wii U-like thinking (not entirely sure where I got the VR bit from just seemed to be jumping out at me)
What do you think about Nintendo thinking outside the box?
Little Big Planet rip-off. For a moment, i thought that sackboy was going to make an apperance!
Pretty amazing!
More like inside the box... oh that was metaphorical...
GameSpot I think it’s awesome mixing classic Nintendo with the new
It's definitely a huge call back to when they made toy's
Nintendo, you are a constant reminder of the heart and soul that gave birth to gaming in the first place. Thank you.
Lucky Yolo errrr no they didn't
Mark Zola81 actually yes they did. The game industry was about to go under till the nes came out. That’s a fact
You missunderstand. I said they are a reminder of the "heart and soul". I did not say "they created the first video game". FACT!!!
Lucky Yolo obviously you wasn't around when atari was around, back then there was plenty of heart and soul in the 2600 days
Michael Sell nope this guy said they are a reminder of the heart and soul that gave birth to gaming...yes i know about the gaming crash buy thats not what he refered to...that's a fact
This is like the most Nintendo thing Nintendo has ever done. I love it.
I actually kinda wish I had this as a kid :o
The worlds most expensive cardboard boxes
Cardboard lootbox simulator confirmed 😫
Comes with a game. game 60$ cardboard 10-20$.
Dj_Ezhel an indie game at best
Jamie Robert Nintendo doesn't make indie games. Do you not know the term? Should i educate you?
Its not just cardbord so No its not
You know what I like about Nintendo? The fact that they think outside the box by making games an peripherals all about boxes!
This is weird, but in a good way. Very creative.
Nintendo always has been the king of innovators.
VMST It comes with the games as well it's not just 70 bucks for the cardboard
Aurumk1 yeah ofc the wii u hahsha
resiclaje

I might just cry. This is amazing.
Coming 4/20, lit
i spilled bong water on mine already :'(
Matt J columbine
and it's 69 dollars.
Nintendo know da wei
BTW that is my birth date
Say what you want about Nintendo but they’re certainly not afraid to take risks with weird, innovative shit.
Wrath of Vaughn or cash grabby, gimmicky shit
Brandon Marks lol sure. I don’t really have a dog in the fight so call it what you want. All I know is, for better or worse, there’s a zero percent chance you’d see Sony or Microsoft doing this. That being said, I’d certainly never spend such an absurd amount of money on cardboard.
Its not much of a risk seling cardboard.
Superdog Spoken like someone who truly has no idea how astronomical the costs associated with launching a new product can be.
Wrath of Vaughn Yet people spend more on virtual gimmicks? Lootboxes
If I had kids and they wanted this, I would buy it for them in a heart beat. Toys you get to build, color, and play video games with. That's my childhood dream right there. It's these kinds of toys that inspired me go into an engineering career.
Sponsored by Dominos pizza boxes.
Will B american pizza is plastic the real is italian
Food snobs are insufferable.
bruce livingston no
Will B good one
Will B LOL XD 😂😂😂
This looks like the most creative use for cardboard EVER.
The way this is presented is just awesome
I thought it was amazing when it was released
This looks incredible for children. I will definitely be buying this for my niece. She loves to build things.

I can already see my niece having a blast creating the sets. I can also imagine her face when she realizes that she’ll be able to interact with what she creates.
My only complaint is that it does seem a bit pricey for cardboard parts.
It's comes with a game of the instructions and also the different game modes
I know this would be a outdated comment but you need a switch or switch oled to play with these or you could get a switch lite and use joycons seperatly but that isnt really recommended also i can confirm the oled works perfectly with all these kits except for the vr kit the pixes are different and the screen is larger so some stuff isnt gonna look right but besides that you can still play all four kits fine
Release date: 4/20

Skyguy's Bizarre Adventure hahaha
Skyguy's Bizarre Adventure aww dude is that really the price?

This looks really interesting, nintendo always have something new
Hindsight is always 20/20, and 6 years later and we can all now clearly see now that Labo is the future of gaming, and the single greatest implementation of VR to date.

2:07 A... *Prototype Toy-Con Wind Pedal?!*
I'm impressed, this is incredibly creative! Although not for everyone, it's truly some wonderful ideas come to life for the team behind this.
Creativity. That’s one of the characteristics that distinguishes Nintendo from Microsoft and Sony.
Just came back to say, that this did NOT take off man.
The games themselves just didn’t have enough to them. . .
I mean, it could've been funny 30 minutes but not something to play for days
Also not everyone likes building stuff
Got to be an artistic genius to even play.
you can use the driving ones to play mario kart
at 1st i thought of the switch "meh, just another tab with joypads, with better games i guess", but today, this changes my mind!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!
The Cardboard industry handed Nintendo the biggest Cheque
its made from recycled Virtual Boys
I just got this recommended to me again and this already feels nostalgic for no reason.
Love how you can customize them good job
And that's how Nintendo won money selling cardboard and they forgot about it.
In a stale industry where Microsoft just copies it's competitors, glad to see Nintendo still continues to innovate!!!
Can’t Believe Its Will Be 5 Years Since They Leak This in 16 Days
If this wasn't the most inspirational commercial I've ever seen then I don't know what is.
Just you wait till everybody starts complaining that the cardboard and the ropes break easily when playing. Followed closely by saying that the controllers aren't as responsive as in the trailer.
I'll never look at my pizza delivery box the same again.
Only Nintendo could do that !!! They know how to innove and makes some suprises !! That’s why i love in my heart Nintendo ❤
LABO was such a cool and underrated idea, creative stuff like this is why the Switch is the most versatile and in my opinion best console of all time
As spongebob always said it’s not about boxes it’s about imagination
Something they have cutted out perfectly and are selling to you that when you buy you’ll feel as a creative person but really you are not.
Such a great idea! If only the games actually made you want to come back
This actually looks really creative, in terms of practicality we'll have to see how useful it is but overall, it looks really interesting!
this kind of video makes me love nintendo
Luan enjoy your boxes.
Nintendo Ceo
"What can make this console appeal to a younger audience and really drive sales?"
Nintendo sales team
"Cardboard, lots and lots of fucking cardboard."
Hm? Isn't it a few months early for April Fools?
idk anymore lol
Lol it sucks for parents
This video reminded me of my first Nintendo, which is bought by my father for my birthday present when I was child.
This looks like a very early April Fools joke!
why? it looks like an amazingly fun thing for parents and children to build and play together, to give kids a more hands-on gaming experience.
Dragon Slayer No its Real. You Can Pre-order it at game stop
TheQwertyman999 Yes i know. But some people dont know its not just cardbord
This, in a good way, will always make the future creative and nostalgic, and will change the past.
This is something I could truly get behind.
Imagine getting one of these for 70$ and then ripping it by accident
I feel old watching this
It's like those plastic wiimote tennis rackets, but made of cardboard
Nintendo is always so weirdly creative
It looks so amazing and fun!! I will see if i can buy it as many soon as possible.

とても素晴らしくて楽しいですね! なるべく早く買えるか試してみます。
For STEM programs in schools, this is great!

Gotta give it to Nintendo they are always looking to invent new ways
2 years later, still waiting for Labo 05
hey, at least we got Game Builder Garage!
you took this to another level Nintendo
Look's useful for motor and neurorehabilitation! Well done!
Never been a Nintendo fan but I must say this is something i'd like to play with my kids.
Pretty weird I got this in my recommended *exactly* 1 year later
If it didnt cost so much labo would be amazing
Fantastic idea and very creative. But I can't help wondering how long a cardboard structure will break whilst being handled by a child.
1:58 Bird VR game
2:01 Camera VR game
2:02 Blaster VR game
2:05 Elephant VR game
2:07 Wind Pedal VR game
No way this is 6 years old already…
Yea dog, I guess we can assume the cardboard model wasn't a big hit
not going to lie but this put a smile on my face with all of its whimsy
Still watching this video cuz this music is amazing!
I feel bad for the parent who will be forced to help make it
canis pugnator and rebuy cutouts every weekend.
Because u know kids going to fall on it or a dog urinated
A NEW THING THATS PRETTY GOOD
What in tarnation?...
I like it
Finally someone who understand’s me....
They literally sold us cardboard, the absolute geniuses.
Google cardboard VR headset.
Nintendo cardboard... EVERYTHING
This is freaking adorable I really want this.
I knew nintendo was gonna top VR by making something more immersive
Now I REALLY want a switch!
Nintendo?
DONT SMOKE WEED EVERY DAY🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
1. Watch it not work
2. Gonna end up flopping
3. Gimmick
4. Overpriced cardboard
5. Comes out on 420
Parminder Singh it comes with games tho
Parminder Singh You know you could just have those shit 3D printed instead of using the cardboard... All you need is the patent for this thing
$80 for cardboard... No thanks Nintendo
Trisky it includes a game
CJDrawings and it looks a vary naise
Trisky Pretty sure you could make it using your own shit
80 bucks for cardboard? Why not just make it yourself? XD
Rowell Ganancial these dumbasses -_-
Nintendo bringing back the childhood days of playing in cardboard boxes.
I love the piano! 😍🎸
I have to admit the Piano that uses the Joycon sensor is pretty cool.
The *DANKEST* day ever!
I don’t get it , are they selling cart boards? Or is it a game about cart boards?
It's like the Wii accessories, but cheaper.
a game with accesories
Dis you say cart board on purpose?
Josh wow lol , stupid autocorrect
Julio Maldonado I
This looks AWSOME
Wow, that's actually pretty impressive. Looks like Google Cardboard has some catching up to do haha.
Not sure what to think. On one hand, I'm really not interested in this. But I'm 31 and have my own little workshop in the back of my garage. For kids... This is great. This is a great innovative way to spark the imaginations of children. Kudos, Nintendo.
There is alot of stuff yet to come
I think it will be the most popular when it will release.i like it

Okay I may get a switch now just for that robot game if nothing else
This is pretty cool. I would like to piano kit!
I am not going to lie... This blew my mind.
One Of the BEST INGENIUS IDEAS BY NINTENDO !❤❤❤❤
Nintendo Labo - Official Teaser Trailer
That’s another title I would use for this video.
i really want a switch and this trailer really changed my mind in a couple of seconds of what i think of this but please dont charge 60 or more for cardboard
Released on 4/20 :O
Interesting that some of the LABO 03 and 04 projects were in this early trailer, except for the VR goggles.
Never stop to surprise the world
April 20 is just 9 days before my birthday and please tell them to make a Labo toy-con 03 closer look set
So, nintendo's answer to VR is cardboard peripherals only used on a bunch of games people likely won't even play, this seems like more Wii U-like thinking (not entirely sure where I got the VR bit from just seemed to be jumping out at me)
