I did not expect to love and get as invested in this show as I did. Episodes got me tearing up every other one, and episode 5 made me actually cry at the end. I was completely sideswiped with how much I cared.
So happy that wolverine was finally put on the sideline and great characters like cyclops, storm, rogue, and magneto along with many others got plenty of time to shine.
I say this as a guy who wasn't a big fan of the '90s cartoon; I am dumbfounded by how much I ended up loving X-Men '97 so much
One of the best marvel projects ever honestly, was blown away how good it was
As someone who technically grew up with X-Men: TAS but wasn't super into it, I really enjoyed X-Men 97. Between that, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, and to and extent Hit-Monkey, I'm glad Marvel's making interesting animation again. Also, I'll never understand the drawback towards the Young Justice revival. It's basically the same show (for both better and worse) with slightly worse animation.
The effect of Forge's weapon also couldve just been temporary due to a flaw.
Personally, I feel you are being too harsh on Call Dodd.
Can he do the same Wolverine voice he did back in the 90's? No.
Can he still do a good Wolverine voice in a more general sense? Yes.
Considering how hit-and-miss that kind of stuff can be (for comparison, I don't think Mark Hamill has sounded great as the Joker for a decade or so), the returning X-Men cast was overall pretty darn good in their respective roles.
that's fair! i dont really hjave that with hamil, i think Dodd is way more noticeable.
I always read Logan with a deeper voice anyway, closer to Steve Blum or Scott McNeil, so his lower pitch worked for me.
The thicker accent is what made it sillier to me but now I think maybe that's what it always should have sounded like.
I wanted more Colossus. Great season though. Can't wait for Sabretooth to be back.
Sorry forgot to say this, the reason the mental block thing works for storm’s arc and not Spiderman was because NOTHING physical happened to Spiderman to cause a mental block. If I was a great basketball player and I lost my ability to walk and healed it would take me a while to mentally be able to play again
That’s gotta be in movies too right????
Mental blocks aren't just physical incidents(as the name implies).
@@fightingmedialounge519 that is true but what would be the case for Spider-Man 2. Stress? And what would that have to do with his powers?
@@gjjijji basically fatigue from over exerting himself.
So great to not have Austin on this. Austin has completely ruined this channel and makes every video hes in unwatchable. I hope they use this John guy more.
I hate that guy. Why is he on every video.
Austin is great. Shut up.
Nah, that 8 but remix is great but still hurts
