I'm a life-long fan of the BC Lions, but beyond that I am a supporter of all things CFL. This is great news for the Elks, and for the league. Congratulations.
Mr.Thompson here to help in every and anyway family had season tickets since opening of Clarke stadium our family name is on Common wealth plaque. I also have green and gold running in my veins a little blue and orange also . Thank you for doing what you have done #1 remove current board of directors . Here to help
You are living out your dream good on you Larry. I thought if l had the money l would love to be a owner of a pro sports team. If it was me l would sign Tre Ford and keep a few others long term and try to get a ceo that you can trust Ed Hervey , Sean Fleming , Tom Richard's come to mind. Fix the entertainment factor at the game for fans as it has become dull. I haven,t been to a game for 3 years . Management has been brutal since Tillman. Fix the concessions which used to be good. Crappy since covid. Revamp the cheer team. Was a season ticket holder for 30 plus years started going to games at Clarke 1969.I will come back if proper changes and culture change is made. Go Esks.btw changing name back to Eskimos or Esks would be a nice touch beleive me. The younger fans don,t see the hurt on old time fans the name change did but it will please alot of people. Comments of get over the name change are not getting it. It's about loyalty. It's about pride. It's about" Once an Esklmo always a Eskimo"
Was a Little sad to see the "Community" ownership Drop the Ball after 75 Years, Although Glad to See the Ball was Picked Up by A true and Passionate Canadian Football Fan. Let's Go EE / It Stands for What ever you want it to Be!
Change the name back to the ESKIMOS. Even the native peoples of North America are in favour of seeing their heritages used as badges of honour. South of the border the Redskins may be back faster than you think. Eskimos are Edmonton, they are the footprint of the city , long before the oilers came to town.
Dear Mr. Thompson, as a die hard Esks / Elks fan, I implore you to please do everything you can to keep Tre Ford, he is the future of this team!
I had no idea who Larry Thompson was 2 days ago...after watching this intro I couldn't be happier. I am a fan of this great fan!
Thank you and good luck Larry! May this next chapter for the green and gold be golden! CFL, gotta love it! From a Blue Bomber fan.
Green and Gold EE Football forever! I have missed 4 games since 2014
