To do the gold anodizing, use Alclad and add yellow alcohol ink (got mine in a set of 3 Autumn colors). It doesn't take a whole lot of ink. Airbrush it over the chrome until you get the look you want. I used this technique to turn a plastic cow into an Oscar award (long story). Airbrushed it with Molotow chrome and then topped it with the tinted Alclad, and it looked darn near perfect.
I remember the Lil Gasser hot rod. All the series of these rods were wild. You're producing some beautiful and well detailed 3D parts. Happy Memorial Day. Thanks for sharing Matt. Enjoy your week.

The small block Windsor's and 351C shared the same bell housing bolt pattern. The 351M 400 429 460 shared the same bell housing bolt pattern. The FE's had their own bolt pattern.
Nice looking gas tank hauler, have fun building 😊
Looks like a kit you could really have some fun with, can't wait to see your rendition.
Those MT rear tires are awesome! I’ll need to add a set to my next order.
Love the vintage kits brings back lots of memories
I believe the c6 for the big blocks the beel housing was cast with the trans case. And the small block bell housing was removable. But I'm not really sure.
Centerline Convo-Pro, my favorite wheels ever!
Other than the Roth cars, the only reason I ever bought a show car model for parts. Wheels and suspension were the main attraction.
I've been to the Ertl/MPC company in Dyersville, Ia, before they went out of business. I only live about 30 mile from there. I bought a couple of kit's from there. It was a pretty cool place.
Hey Matthew. I picked up that kit a while back. Looks like a fun kit. Thanks for sharing
One of my favorite show rods, I love the dual axle look. It is designed by John Bogosian, and it was never built in 1/1, neither were any of the dual axel series. (Lil Cashbox, Lil Yeller, and Lil Mixer).
It was actually the first showrod kit I bought, together with the Bad Medicine. Now I think I have 3 or 4 plus the one I built. Great kit. Oh, by the way, Lil Mixer, Lil Yeller and Lil Gasser were reissued not too long ago, so they should be out there....
I'm not much into 'fantasy' show rods, but I kinda like that kit! I would definitely replace that engine with a 3d printed one. I'm sure STS can reproduce that decal sheet. I've had them recreate a couple vintage decal sheets for me and they did an excellent job.
John Bogosian Was the best showrod designer. I have his full collection he signed some of them for me
Nice kit.....I would take the cab and tank and make two different models with 😁😎......in 87 i was still in the us army 😁
Awesome love them twin axle models can't tell you how many I picked up back in the day just for the rear differentials for 1/16th scale pro street builds
I am sure STS decals could make a new set of decals for you. I just received new decals for my Levacar. The old sheet was brown back ground. The new ones are fantastic.
Cool 👍
"Positively Inflammable" is a play on the confusion over flammable/inflammable/non-inflammable/imflammable joke -- that is, "is this gonna burn or not?" That Lil' Gasser might look good weathered and rusty, as though it had been left behind a barn for many years. Maybe give it a rat-rod treatment of some kind. Then you could use whatever engine and headers you want.
Inflammable = easily set on fire. Most people today leave off the “in,” Latin for ‘into.’ Flammable and inflammable have essentially the same meaning. The model looks like fun to build. Cheers!
😁I remember kits like that when I was a kid. Model T and Mack custom rods were popular. Good find. 👏👏And good job on the MCV wheels and 351 Cleveland I received yesterday. 🥳. They’re going on a Italeri WWII Willys Jeep (modified)🤭. Thanks again for the review and quality parts.👍
Looks like it could be a fun kit to bash a little Matthew. Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Maybe Motorcraft carbs? My 1973 302 Torino has it.
👍🏻👍🏻
" Secret of Nyhm " was a great movie. I haven't seen it since I was still just a kid. I may need to try and find for a re-watch soon! I think you would need " gasser " style headers to swap a resin engine into this kit.
Ford 427 SOHC 2 4 barrel carb Holley Primary = C5AF-BU 3410 rated at 780CFM, and Secondary = C5AF-BT 3411 rated at 780 CFM
I believe this kit shared that chassis with other versions. I had the " skool bus", and I believe the chassis, engine are exactly the same. Definitely not s real car.
The movie was The Secret of NIMH.
🤣 Lost memory due to, to many hours of inhaling Testors model glue.
I'm not positive but more than likely that intake would take a square bore carb like a edelbrock type carburetor
Nice looking Convos, can you print in a narrower width, like a scale 15x8?
I think of I was to have that kit , I would take the good looking parts ftom it and kit bash it with some other truck.
do you have the other slicks all I saw was 2 should have 4 slicks wheels but it will be neat to build
