I find it amazing how many 80s Night DJs have never even heard of Rough Trade.
Back at the heights of "carefully contrived image". The DJ's of the 80s always used to cut off the ending of the song which is the best part where she leaves us with what the image was about... sexuality's expression.
Taking a trip down memory lane. This song was a staple during my high school years. Great song with a deep meaning...
Very cool song
The feel-male David Bowie.
Alexis Rose, The Leather Years.
Ab Fab, The Early Years (Pats & Eddy can't remember them).
This one's going out to Jonathan India Willoughby.
Peaked as high as No. 25 on the Canadian Singles Charts in 1980. A good tune, but they still had some better songs than this in my opinion.
And yet, of all the bands and the songs that got me through my high school years, this is the one song that has stayed with me after all these years.
I have the lp and cassette tape
