Today was the 1st time in weeks I've added more KAS to my bag. Added 5k KAS at .145 because I believe in KAS. I think the next KAS pump will get us to .20 cents. I believe in that; putting my money where my mouth is fam! ❤👍
I have mined a couple thousand of KAS I believe in KAS it will take quite some time to reach a great return. In Feb 29th 2024 the caps was $4.12 B and ranked #29 as of today March 13th ranking #42 caps $3.40 B in time it will be a good investment.
100% correct - never bet on Kaspa only. Never. I bet on BTC and Kaspa as well. BTC: network effect + lindy effect Kaspa: better fundamentals Only time can tell if a very very very late better PoW network is really able to compete with a so well known network like BTC. We can't know that, it will be the choice of 8 bn people.. So I would allocate 50/50 BTC/KAS Why? Becauss then you are abasolutely perfect prepared for both scenarios and can sleep well at night.
Right now because of how much kaspa appreciated and I only recently started buying bitcoin again my kaspa is still 99% of my portfolio. But over time it will even out. I still want it to be like 60/40 KAS/BTC in the longer run. But of course we shall see what happens.
@@KaspaSilver yes that's a good strategy. BTC has very big network effects and it has been running 15 years without any failure which makes it very safe in the eyes of institutions
One thing to consider regarding smart contracts. Would having them make Kaspa a security? If it is to be used as a currency it should remain a commodity. Look to the ongoing XRP/SEC suit.
A cryptocurrency being labeled a security has never been related to smart contracts. It’s based on the howey test. Kaspa operates just like Bitcoin and that’s not a security so we can only assume kaspa should be treated the same.
Ya I agree with you about btc. Institutions getting in is the end all be all. They are in bed with the government and I’m pretty sure “they” won. Btc will never be the same with blackrock and friends owning that much. Completely destroyed Satoshis vision
Just a question about Kaspa, in 2026 95% of the Kaspa coins will be mined. Bitcoin will mine all the coin in the year 2140..Kaspa is much faster in this side. What will make the miners continuing mining Kaspa?
founder of uphold made a nice observation on why BTC will fail!saying that to be able to keep the network up after all blocks are mined youll need too much of transaction volume so that the miners can be profitable ..but there will be no volume if BTC is gold ! thats why the miners keep the ordinals alive its the only way for them to keep it up in the future !
I think the belief that no volume will exist if it is gold won’t be the case though. Yeah Bitcoin does need to make sure it has volume but it’s already producing tons of volume with high fees and people still pay them. Ordinals actually helps Bitcoin a lot too. You can never take away greed so these are ways high fees still get paid no matter what.
I’m all for Kaspa but you should have shown KASvsBTC like you did LTCvsBTC. Kas is in heavy dip vs BTC mainly due to new btc ETFs but kaspa still strong.
I did show kaspa vs btc. It was the weekly chart since the inspection of kaspa. Gotta zoom out to see perspective instead of only looking at short term.
Kaspa is completely fair launched so this why top tiers have not bought in. To get kaspa they would need to buy it directly or add futures to build liquidity first. This is a benefit to kaspa cause there are no allocations of the supply to any team, VC, company, or anything like that. All kaspa has been fairly distributed by only mining or purchasing it. I’m not a fan of price predictions too much cause it’s really just a guess but at least for this year I’m expecting somewhere around 50c-$1. This is just me guessing. I encourage you to research as much as possible to learn what’s significant about kaspa.
I think Kaspa is an amazing technology but it will eventually attract opposition from the system. That's what worries me. I may not hold any beyond the next bull run, depending on what happens. Everything great about a project goes to shit if it's made illegal/banned from public use. Ethereum, as garbage and expensive as it is, is fully supported by the system. Same thing for Bitcoin, despite being slow as hell. Make no mistake...regulation is coming and they will find a way to snuff out peer to peer transactions at some point and limit anything that doesn't support their cause for control and manipulation.
I wouldn’t be too worried about that. At this point fearing this is like the people who never want to buy stocks cause they say what if the U.S. economy crashes. And they sit sidelined forever because of their ego not wanting to lose. Everything has risks just learn how to manage it.
How is it heavily centralized? Whales are holding a great portion of the supply but the network is determined by the miners, the hashpower provided by them, so no Bitcoin is still the most dezentralized Crypto ever.
I mean it’s more centralized in terms of distribution but honestly it’s helping retail people gain wealth as long as they buy either the etf or bitcoin itself. Whatever Blackrock buys is simply cause retail people purchased an equivalent amount with their ETFs.
ETH is not a currency. It’s simply a smart contract platform that is heavily centralized. In the long run it will continue to lose against Bitcoin in terms of maintaining your purchasing power. Proof of stake makes the system very susceptible to control. Once kaspa implementation of smart contracts becomes a reality there will be no good reason to choose eth if people were being rational but this market is not rational a lot of times. We will see what happens but I will never hold eth.
Yeah I don't think anything should. Bitcoin isn't a payment method as it's too painfully slow. Like you said it's just a store of value now that will grow forever. I think BTC served it's purpose. To prove fiat is a fraud and that people need to transition into crypto. Obviously, not everyone is convinced but enough are to get a lot of cryptos out and up and running to achieve the actual goal, a decentralized payment.
Haha that’s a good one. I think the people that make Bitcoin into some sort of religion and always reject anything new in PoW is not wise. These are just advance technologies at the end of the day that are competing to get adopted in mainstream. Kaspa holds all the qualities a Bitcoiner should like and adds innovation to the mix. What can be better than following in the footsteps of an extremely great asset like Bitcoin and actually building upon that to do even better things.
Haha But don't underestimate the scalability in the future of BTC... I think in the future they will have a top scalability solution like Liquid, FediMint and private custodial wallets... I would not completely bet against that that BTC would never scale....they have time and I think they will solve it
I think Kaspa is far from being silver for anything. People need to get their head out of the clouds on that one. But I do like the idea of trying to make it a value coin. I still hold some Kaspa and am willing to hold and build a bigger bag of it. But reality is, as of right now, its only being driven in part, due to ASIC manufactures. The real test is if they can attract other developers. The only problem here is with its aggressive halving schedule, I don't know if it will. It means costs of doing transactions will eventually go up with the price of Kaspa. Plus there is a lot of bitterness and this has created many new forks that has driven some long term supporters from the project. Last, I want to mention LTC. Don't rule it out! LTC is surviving due to a little coin called DOGE. At first I thought it was a fad, but here where are, and it still is going strong. I am starting to think DOGE will be the transaction coin of the future.
It makes no sense to use a coin that has infinite supply. That’s basically the U.S. dollar all over again and doge is still very slow compared to Kapsa. I’m not ruling them out but truly Kapsa is superior in every way.
I don’t think it’s useless if the facts are there. I’m always doing my research to provide anything about kaspa even things that may be bad. I genuinely would want to hear what you got.
I feel you hinting it’s a bad thing what financial institutions did to bitcoin, because they can do the same thing with kaspa. The only difference is for newcomers in kaspa, it’s way easier to self custody and move coins around once they are getting in because financial institutions did.
They can 100% do the same thing with kaspa but it’s less likely to be as bad with kaspa. Here’s why. Kaspa is starting after much adoption with crypto has happened therefore self custody is taught way more now days and it will be a long time before institutions would consider kas I believe. Also kaspa wont have ridiculous fees or long wait times that simply discourages a complete noob to even mess with crypto. Let’s see what happens in the future.
