2:30 there's a slight difference between a split scimitar and the MAX winglet (called by boeing AT Winglet or Advanced Technology Winglet). The NG is the one that features split scimitars.
@Planes and Games Ahh yes sorry for that error, yep the Split Scimitars are being retrofitted onto NGs while Max is using something similar though with the advanced technology winglet. Thanks for tuning in!
The MAX has been in incidents that are Boeing's fault, the NG has been involved in incidents that are not Boeing's fault
Well that might not be true anymore
@@rajastylez We'll see about that
Boeing fixed the MCAS problem, now it's as safe as the 800.
@Randy Aren't there, by sheer volume, way more fatal accidents with the NGs than the MAX variants?
Update: Yeah by the fact that the NGs have been out longer, there have been 13 fatal accidents involving the next generation 737s. There's only been 2 fatal accidents with the max. The first fatal accident with an NG happened on September 29, 2006. The next one happened on May 5, 2007. That's about an 8 month gap. The MAX had its first fatal accident on October 29, 2018, the next on March 10, 2019, which is about a 5 month gap. That's not a horrible record compared to the NGs, only a 3 month difference which is negligible. To be fair, the first to NG crashes were not caused by any fault of the aircraft, whereas the MAX did have a system that wasn't relayed to the pilots, causing the crash.
@@Enoughdata and for the MU7535 crash, CAAC has not found evidence attributing this to a Boeing design, hence MU ungrounded their 737-800s a month after the crash
All in all, the MAX is certainly a welcome upgrade bringing the NG up to date! Would you like to see Max re-enter service again by the end of the year? Do you think its possible? Do let me know! Thanks for tuning in and till we meet next time, clear skies ahead!
Could you tell me what version is the Zibo mod for X-Plane 11?
Cause it’s called 737-800X
I thought the X standed for MAX, but it has no double winglet.
Could you also tell me if having a tablet inside the cockpit is a MAX thingy or also NGs have it?
Thank you very much
The MAX team design is the best sources for good 737 MAX’s for xp11
el max no se puede comparar con la series anteriores tienen tantos cambios que lo consideran un avion nuevo
My favorat
Anyone know what the LRC MACH is for the MAX?
737 Max flies at 839 km/h
@@MRT_Playz thank you but that is not MACH
I am guessing 0.78@@normanriggs848
The 737 revolutionised aviation and domestic travel in general. However it’s time for the 737 to go.
Every glorious story has an end.
I hope Boeing makes of the Max the final version of this brave 1960’s airframe.
As much as it hurts say...you are god damn right. The 737 is one of the most iconic planes out there. If only boeing’s management were more competent and didn’t put innocent lives over profit then the Max would have been the final salute to the 737’s legacy.
@@hodb3906
It’s as classic and iconic as having the same nose the 707 had, the grandfather of jets LOL What makes it iconic, though, is part of its demise. Much like the 747.
It’s as if they were Volkswagen and were obsessed with profiting every penny out of the Original Beetle.
It doesn’t matter how much engineering you put into improving the frame, adding safety features and very modern engines...
in the end of the day, it’s still a VW Beetle.
@@rodrigorosatoalves yup. Very true. Except technically, the comet is the grandfather of jets. The 707 is more like the comet’s successful younger half brother.
Similarly with Airbus, their A330neo, been derived from the Airbus A300 since 1972, keeping the same airframe with the debut of the A310 in 1983, the A340 in 1992, the A330 in 1995, and now the A330neo since 2017.
Ummm safety?
Forget the engine type & it's positions, the NG still hold the safer plane so far....🛫😎
Not sure about the figure but in the public's eye yeah the NG has a safer record and sets a high bar for the MAX to match. Thanks for tuning in!
Not anymore
Is this in English?
The difference is: One has a software that makes the plane dive and the other has a wing that could dettatch at any time when it gets older. 737-200 ftw!
the 737-200 has a rudder that moves by itself
@@aarondynamics1311 Since the classics have the same issue, I think I'll just buy a 747-8...
Name one incident where an NG wing detached out of nowhere
@@Blank00 PiCkLe foRk iSsUe
@@PlanesAndGames732 hasn't resulted in detached wings though
Well, NG is just a lifting of previously upgraded frameset which basically origin from 707, so good decade earlier than my birthdate. MAX, what we've learned already, is criminal turbolifting of lifting of upgrade of heritage of old technology.. After killing hundreds of passangers they finally seem to do with MAX what shall be done at design phase. Will fly one day. But we shall be discussing how different and better is NMA when comparing to any wersion of 737. Missed opportunity. Product refresh is nothing wrong, example could be countless incarnations of Toyota Corolla or VW Golf, but it's time to deliver new product keeping appealing brand name.
The NG doesn't kill people.
There's one that's a plane and the other that can't fly properly.
I would fly to no the NG rather than the Max
it's rather safer
Both variants are safe
seeing this after the recent China Airline crash. the reason is not confirmed yet tho.
Cool
The 737ngs are even safer than the 737 max itself.
I had school sorry i didn't make it
Yeah thats fine :) hope you had a great day in school :) ahh school is so fun!
@@oneskyflyer :D yea i like school
I don’t think the 737 max is that bad. I’ve been on it many times.
No the Boeing 737-800 not 737 ng
The NG's are better
Take off steeply like that you'll stall the plane and crash!
Ng means no go
What are you on about kid?
Ummm you mean the Max right not the NG
NG means Next generation
@@lanyworld524 I was jokin tho
The 737 max has chevrons which is how I’ll know to never fly it
Ok, your just being stupid
@@ethansaviation2672 the difference between the 800 and the max are the engines, if the 737 im supposed to go on has chevrons ill swap planes

The worst airplane is max... Do not go..
I hope Boeing catches up with Airbus. The MAX will be one of the safest if not the safest in aviation history.
It only had 2 crashes so far so still safe
@@thelaughingsalesman-subindo Hopefully so. Boeing should’ve tabula rasa’d the MAX after those 2 crashes. The culture from the McDonnell/Douglas merger with Boeing still hasn’t worked itself out of the company.
THE KILLER PLANE | The Boeing 737 MAX 8 [now they call it Max 10] has been known as the "killer plane" killing 370 human beings in two crashes. It is disrespectful of American, Southwest and other airlines that have used this plane again, caring more about money than human lives. The killer plane had its first flight in January 2016. Despite its short time on the market, the MAX 8 has been involved in two tragedies in fewer than five months: the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crash on March 10, 2019, and the Lion Air Flight JT 610 crash on Oct. 29, 2018. Don't get on board.
Bro is stuck in 2019
