Because they record their vocals ahead of time as a backdrop to assist with the not being able to sing it all live. They sing over the backdrop sometimes, but with choreo it's hard to consistently sing so the backdrop track of their vocals really helps. There are only a very few number of artist who sing fully live or loudly over their backdrop tracks - like Jessi and Mamamoo.

The one that truly stable at all time live of Mamamoo is Solar. Hwasa a lot of time don't sing live totally, not that she can't but she won't. Go watch some of their live show & you can see it clearly. Dreamcatcher music & dance is much harder to sing & dance. Mamamoo dance isn't as hard as Dreamcatcher also. So fix your ears. And having a backtrack is just some of the shows' requirement, it doesn't mean group can't sing as many already said they can hear them clearly. Go check many of their live performances with live band and hard choreography before you open you mouth.

When Mamamoo sing totally live, it's different. The amount of techniques they can use are insane. Hwasa doesn't sing live 100% most of the time, yes, but when she does, it's a whole level. Just do a immortal songs run and you can clearly see that. I don't even compare Siyeon to Solar since it's a bit unfair. They are both powerful belter but the way Solar belts is much more healthy (although I love Siyeon beltings technique more since it's what a rock vocalist should do), not to mention Solar lower register is way stronger than Siyeon's. And yet Solar is not consider the best vocalist in Mamamoo at that time. If you want to compare them vocally, why not compare when both are not dancing? Not that I want to drag Dreamcatcher down, they're definitely kind of allrounders who does everything well. But vocally as an entire group, no one even comes close to Mamamoo in gen 3, the fact that all 4 of them can harmonize naturally at any time sets them apart from any group. P.S: Why would a moomoo say such thing like Wheein destroyed Mamamoo? RBW does nothing for her and the whole group. They're expected to leave that company as soon as possible. And you blame Wheein on destroying Mamamoo when in fact she still managed to comeback with Mamamoo as a whole despite being in different company.

I read somewhere that Ollunder & Leez try to make more variation of the song part starting on Apocalypse Triology. 1 thing that they want is to incorporated other members into the chorus part so that it's not always Siyeon/Yoohyeon only part ---> i see the result is good. It gives more variation of sound, even though i like&know 🐺&🐶 are the best vocalist in team. And by doing so, its also give chances to other members to show&improve their singing skill => i see every members get better in each comeback as well 😊
