I think it's part of the concept to be lighter/happy/smiling, unlike their usual concepts which are darker/more powerful. but I believe most of them have a personal preference for this style over their usual dark rock style (going by what they've said in the past) so maybe they genuinely are happier!
@dukkeop bias it's part of the concept, but the smiles are real if you know what I mean. If JiU for example smiles, she really is happy. They often smile on stage for their other concepts too, but only on concerts and festivals (mostly Gahyeon lol). They just love performing.

I think Handong really enjoys dancing with a more easy going, fresher sound, she’s dancing cutely and smiling more, it’s a nice change. The song can get intense but for the most part it’s a nice balance on intense and just being relaxing so I think the girls in general enjoy this duality.
We know Siyeon would always give the best with her amazing vocals

dreamcatcher is one of the few groups that can satisfy with me their live vocals like idk its just sooooo satisfying hearing them singing, its so clear powerful stable and most importantly so beautiful like did you hear kim bora's highnote right there? goshhhh so satisfying then siyeon come with here powerful highnotes and continues with the chorus damnnn so clean
It definitely felt refreshing to hear a diff side of dreamcatcher. The chorus instrumental does have the typical dreamcatcher sound but other than that their style of singing, visuals and choreo is so refreshing and sorta brand new. And it's the first time I see them smiling in a comeback stage. even their outfit seems more brighter..

Aku gak mau compare lagu ini sama lagu lain sih. Tapi sejauh ini yang comeback minggu ini, lagu dc emang paling bagus. Kenapa? Vocalnya dapet, kuat, high note gak usah diragukan lagi. Mulai intro, chorus, Pre-chorus, brigde, ending, klimaksnya dapet banget.
Lagu-lagu Dreamcatcher gak pernah aku ketemu yang datar.
Ditambah mereka nyanyi live dengan dance yang gila begini, gak menye-menye.

I’m glad they got to wear sensible sneakers to do this dance, I’m glad they work for a company that doesn’t needlessly endanger them for ✨aesthetic ✨but of course they and the idols that do have to pull off dances like this in heels are mad talented and hardworking regardless, Dreamcatcher could do it in heels but I’m glad they don’t have to.
