It looks like you spent a lot of time on this car don't get too discouraged the car is over 25 years old after all. Keep at it and you'll get there eventually.
I do tell myself this. although the engine and turbo and surrounding component's are all new so i feel these are things that shouldnt be ruining my track days. Thanks for the encouraging words, i have persevered with this car so far... just not sure when is a good time to call it a day? i have other cars id like to build aswel so makes it difficult throwing money at something that gives nothing back 😒
@@primetime9 I have been there with my near 40 year old AE86. Only you can determine weather a car is worth it. For me I have so much fun driving the Ae86, I didn't get rid of it even when it was down for 8 years due to life. Being from America I always lusted after the 90s era Evos but honestly I couldn't tell you if they were any good. I figure their must be something to them so many people rave about them. Maybe take a break and work on one of your other cars for a bit and see if you miss the Evo at all.
@coldvaper ahhh that sounds awsome glad to hear you kept it!! 👍 Yea I guess I'll store it away for a while, have a play with the other cars. It's a shame as I started getting bits where I wanted them on this car, just needed some reliability to add to the experience. Either way I definitely need a break from this evo. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been here, seems like its too often for me sometimes though.
@@primetime9 Just remember if your motor is still good and you park it for too long you will probably have issues later on. I was able to park mine because my motor hydro locked and was f'd anyway.
@coldvaper dam that's not cool bruv! Well the next episode of "evos make me poor" is dropping this week, where we get a bit of a look on what's happening. Thanks for taking the time to message mate, means alot that people take an interest and invest their time into my videos 🙌👊
I was getting near the end thinking it’s going to end on your warm up laps and was going to comment hope you have a good trip and another video of the trip, then it ends with the car going on the truck 😢 hope it’s just the clutch mate #ThoseFordGuys #WhatsReliability at least you knew before you went so maybe not as disappointed lol
Well I had thought I'd be trouble free if I'm honest. I did the turbo, got it mapped again, service etc... only done a handful of miles before we left but all seemed well. I bolt checked the turbo, except the downpipe 😣 very disappointing lol.
Cheers bro, yea the journey there was wicked. That's why I left a longish intro of the journey in there, so if nobody watched it atleast I can look back and remember 👍
Yea man, it was an emotional end to a lap 🤦🏼♂️ It was hard to actually comprehend what had happened, considering the engines spec etc, it was the last thing I thought would fail 😕
@D45HEY 🤣🤣🤣🤣 It's not likely to come back on the road bruv. Done with it if I'm honest with myself. Just gonna get some of the other cars on the road this year. Maybe take up knitting or something less engine blowy uppy.
