    I can’t thank you enough I bought the cricut maker and have been trying to understand how to make the face mask. I’ve been so frustrated I contacted them directly after twenty minutes on hold I was somehow disconnected. More frustration. However even though I wish your video had one opening line like click in home! That way you see all choices clicking on canvas does nothing! After more frustration finally realized my error was being on canvas versus home! I did it. After several attempts I think I’ve got it. I’ve made over 700 masks so far and donated every one. Now there will be more and I’m hoping no more shoulder pain from cutting! Thank you so much!

Definitely going to be buying a replacement fine point blade to have just in case this dulls my current blade and makes it so that I can’t have crisp cut lines anymore but that is some thing I would’ve had to do anyways and I am super excited to try may be cutting out some little eyes out of thin black fabric for some of the little crochet dolls I want to make for my daughter and possibly sell 😊❤️

The Cricut website has instruction on how long & how hot you need to use the press on your project. It also tells you if the vinyl needs to be pealed hot or cool. The timer feature is great, too. I will say that depending on the size you get, if you live in an older home, your lights may flicker 😅

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  4 года назад

      Freezer paper is like a 1sided wax paper! You heat the shiny waxy side and the wax melts and binds to the material, then it peels right off with no residue. Freezer Paper: amzn.to/3eQtUCk

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  4 года назад +3

      So unless you've seen a Cricut Maker it won't make much sense, but the Maker has a set of gears in clamp B, gears which intertwine with the gears on the rotary blade, the knife blade, etc. Without the gears working together the blade/tool will not do anything, it will simply not work. Good question though! No one's ever asked that before, it was fun to answer!! :)

    Can you cut crepe paper on the explore air2?

    • @MakersGonnaLearn

      You cannot, unfortunately. Crepe paper needs to be cut with the Rotary Blade which is an Adaptive Tool of the Cricut Maker.

      Yes, you can with the Cricut Maker: amzn.to/2S1iFNB . It has the Adaptive Tool System which is used with the Rotary Blade to cut lots of fabrics :)

    The way it lifted while cutting, I am skeptical that you could do much useful cutting using this method. Looks like letters wouldn’t stand a chance.

    Question does the adhesive of the freezer paper stay on the Fabric ? She didn’t show the back to well.

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  4 года назад +7

      No, not at all! It's not adhesive, it's wax. The freezer paper has to be laid on the fabric shiny side down because that's the side the wax is on, and the wax is what adheres the fabric to it. Once peeled off, it leaves no residue at all!

    I'm confused lol...my air 2 has a bonded fabric setting on the dial so shouldn't that be all that needs to be set for cutting the fabric?

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  3 года назад +1

      With that setting you have to use the Fabric Bonded Blade: amzn.to/3pw44rI . This video is for those of you that do not have that :)
