It seemed like the lady was coming from a place of concern for her friend at the start, but then it turns out it was born of a self-need to save people. How can a person truly be genuinely caring without any agenda or need? Couldn't most of the reasons why we do the things we do be turned on their heads like this? Especially when it comes to people you care about, I guess you just need to observe and be present, and help if needed. The woman was trying to change her friend when she wasn't ready. When it comes to yourself, do what you can to achieve what you want, but with other people, trying to change them just doesn't seem to work, and I guess its nobody's business but that person's.
