All you had to do was wrap Teflon tape around the end of the bolt fill hole with gear oil and hit it with the impact. The hydraulic pressure will pop it right off. No damaged threads. Also always grease the puller threads.
Pleasee help, i did all of this yesterday and everything worked perfectly and great videos, but when i put the primary clutch on it rubs against the little rubber peace behind it
Do you see what I mean?Pushing on outside caused the washer to damage it slightly, luckily it wasn't worse?I have a '99 Sportsman500 and I am switching the Short Block(bottom end of engine) with a good, used one from a dealer but I couldn't find any video on R&R the engine?I got mine almost all apart, and I have the used engine,oh AND I have Factory service manuals for my model.Any idea where to look? Thanks for having this channel for folk like me!Take it easy!
Why not just "taper the tip of your tool/bolt/puller so it is able to be Recieved into the crankshaft?"If it were a Sharper point on the tool,it would be put right into the crank without any Damage..?!
Any recommendations on what to try if the threads of the Primary are stripped? I tried tapping them but didn't work. I have a new clutch so I'm not worried about damaging it.
Strip the clutch, use a puller, got it this way, no problem, tried the grease oil trick, didn’t work, made up a piece to go behind the centre nut, put the puller on, tighten, tap the end of the puller screw, out it came!! Had to rebuild that clutch anyway, so, dismantling it wasn’t a problem. I was able to clean up the helix, rollers were good, back in service!!
Any common impact drill/driver (and the correct clutch puller which is available all over the Internet for a very reasonable price) will do that entire process in no time. You don't even have to hold the clutch in place. To remove that center bolt, just use an impact. Takes it off instantly. And just use a proper clutch puller to remove it. You can buy the clutch puller for these models for next to nothing online. (Totally worth it instead of destroying your parts.) Use your impact, the clutch pops right off. It is so easy it is not even funny. And I'm not even some 'professional' mechanic. What mechanic (backyard or other) does not even have an impact driver... Come on people. One of the most common - but HIGHLY necessary tools - for any mechanic. ....awful 'help' video
I used a counter sink to clean up the outside edge and then a tap to fix the first couple threads. I believe the tap I used was a "12 -1.25, fine thread"
I have a 2003 polaris 250 trailblazer withno airbox. everytime I Bo through a mid puddle or water. it stalls an loses power momentarily. this shoudlnt be happening if its not submerged in water correct?

Hey we bought a trailblazer and the threads are already messed up. What should we do?
