Polaris Trailblazer transmission repair (Part 1)

- the trailblazer is having issues again, this time in the transmission. It's the silent chain on the inside. Gonna just replace the chain, the oil seals, and maybe the bearings if I decide they need replacing
Thanks for the video I watched a few others but your the only one who pulled the transmission without pulling the primary clutch. saved me a few $ and time with that tip!
One thing to keep in mind when the bike is running if it's idled up too high you try to put it in gear it will grind gears there's a difference between a bike that will go in to gear and then make noise is more likely the chain is loose causing it to skip teeth but if your bike goes into gear and you go to throttle into it and it makes a grinding noise but not your internal chain in your transmission I just don't want to see anyone waste their time and labor if this was not the issue Just thought to put that out there That's a lot of work to pull a transmission to find out there's nothing wrong with it so before attempting to pull your transmission turn the idle down first then see if it hops in the gear some of these bikes actually had a transmission break to stop it from rotating until you were in the gear

Hey man I need some help where did you get the chain from and what's the part number and cost thanks would really help out I cant fine the chain anywhere
Man if we just had a little bit of light this would have been the perfect video cuz I'm trying to put the swing on and the transmission back in one just like that and since I got it already tore down I don't know the sequence of all the rubber piece and the bowl and the washers and these lock washers I don't know the sequence being all that stuff going in and just a little bit of light I could be able to look at what you got and see it but it's so dark I can't tell but I still appreciate the video
I got the parts from rocky mountain atv I think. It was a while ago but they have oem parts and I've bought from them for almost everything
Did you end up fixing it I'm having the same problem it goes in reverse though no problem it can drive but it won't go forward

I got everything unbolted but it seems to be pivoting on the swing arm wiggled with a pry bar it will spin around but wont pull out

My Trail Boss 325 sounds just like that just wondering how do I take out the transmission took off all the bolts and chain and all but cannot remove the transmission
hey whats up brotha!!! what size socket fits that big ass bolt on the drive belt side? I got it all apart but don't have a wrench or socket that big and don't know what size it is. Need your help!!!

Hey I got an 05 trailblazer and somone said the silent chain is bad but anytime I get on the throttle at all it just pops real aggressively do you think that's what it is If you can help I would much appreciate it

Hi man thanks for posting it's helpful for me I just bought a trail blazer and having the same problem.. did you replace the dogs you mentioned at 6.28 or did you just replace the chain and bearings 🤔🤔 ??
I ended up just replacing the chain and bearings. The shift fork dogs ended up being fine
Do they have a clutch like racing dirtbikes? Or is it auto maticclutch
It's a cvt, so no clutch plates just the belt
Mine will go in toward but when I start to go it will pop out and grind is it the same thing or something completely different

I have the same issue. Please keep me updated on the parts and the rest of the repair. Doesn't seem to hard to take apart.

I have a 00 trail boss 325 are the transmissions same..
I have a 250 the chain Snapped and killed the transmission
I think I got the same issue did it only make noise in drive or reverse also
pretty sure it was both. I have the new silent chain coming in tomorrow and hopefully will have a video up about it in 2 days at most.

I got the same bike what type of gas goes in it? Do you mix the gas with oil?
Usually no unless your oil pump mix is not working. On the front Soutth of the head light is a lid that says oil . Two stroke oil goes there
