DIY your own wedding veil and save $$$

Planning a wedding on a budget? Save hundreds of dollars by making your own wedding veil at home, with just a few simple supplies. This tutorial will show you how to make a basic veil for the bride that you can easily adapt to one or two tiers. By choosing the width of tulle yourself, you can create a full, puffy veil or a long, cascading veil. Then you can decorate your veil with a ribbon trim, sparkles, or flowers at the headpiece. This tutorial works great for First Communion veils, too!

The last veil at the end looks nothing like the veil you made? It’s much fuller.

Good eye! The veil at the end is a proper full-size veil made with full width fabric. That wide of fabric would be super hard to show on a table for this tutorial in a way that you could still be able to see it all, so instead I used a small piece to show the technique. If you use full-width tulle you will get fuller results.
