I’ve found this video almost 1 year ago, saved it and love it. Shares it many times. Simply Perfect! I ruined a friend duvet and bedsheet, due to an unexpected period. Took it to a very expensive dry cleaning, they simply washed them, they came back with a horrible “brown enormous stain. I was desperate, because they were expensive bedding. I prayed and searched for stain removal, this video came across my feed… and it is Perfect, not one single stain behind. Thank you 😊
For blood stains, even old ones, I have found that %35 hydrogen peroxide works best. It even works on colours and does not remove the colour. I fill a small brown glass bottle with a dropper in it with the %35 hydrogen peroxide and keep it with the laundry. Then whenever there is a blood stain, I drop a few drops as needed, let it bubble up, then put some dish soap or laundry liquid on it and flush it out. If there's more, I just add more drops of %35 hydrogen peroxide and repeat. You usually won't have to because that stuff works sooo well...I love it. I use to use bleach, but that is junk. It puts holes in the clothing eventually, and you can't use it on colours. When I discovered the %35 hydrogen peroxide, I was so happy.
Just how can we tell what concentration of HP is it ? I've old stain from last year on white Christmas shirt not sure what it is . Tried several formulas from regular detergent to dishwashing liquid to white venegar to HP .. Now about the fourth try with detergent , white vinegar , HP , ammonia and oxi clean ..Both soaking it and rubbing it in .
Hair spray works faster than the process used here for removing ink. I bought a white suit on sale and during the checkout, the cashier had an ink pen in her hand. Without either of us seeing it, she accidently put a long ink mark right on the front of my new suit. I sprayed it with my own hair spray, waited a minute or two...you could see the ink stain breaking up and lifting off the martial. I just rinsed it off and washed it in a regular wash. Worked great!!!
Hi Mona! Quick question, do you think that the hairspray will help with ink on a nylon bag? 2 weeks ago I bought a great bag & today at work I stupidly (lightly) scratch my pen on the front of it! 🤬/😭
Your hair spray needs to be rubbing alcohol based for this to work! Getting to the stain immediately is key, and it worked for you! A lot of hair sprays are no longer rubbing alcohol based.
Watching this for the second time because I've been using Hydogen Peroxide , ammonia and white distilled vinegar for stains and general whitening fairly good results . I don't hink I'll ever go back to bleach . Was just rechecking if white distilled vinegar was what he was using vs cleaning vinegar .
From someone who sews a lot....... If it is your own blood use your own spit and it will clear it completely without chemicals. Particularly helpful for wet shavers who nick their necks and blood drip onto their collar.
Thanks for your comment! Hydrogen peroxide is an amazing oxidizing bleach and I use all the time at home. However, not all stains are alike - there are many combinations of textile and stain and not one approach fits all.
Light neon yellow pullover meets...INK!!! Thank you!!! MY daughter's shirt is saved! I should've taken a before and after pick but I wansn't confident that I could get it out. Brand new light neon yellow velour pullover, on for less than an hour covered with ball point pen streaks. Ugh! Carried out your suggestion of lighter fluid and solution and though it took an investment of time and patience we have a shirt free and clear of stains. Thank you!
If you have a blood stain try ice believe it or not it works wonders if it's fresh blood it will take seconds, older stains take a little longer. Put a folded paper towel under to catch residue place Ice on stained area leave for a few minutes then start rubbing with the ice you might also use an old toothbrush to break up the stain & periodically move the paper towel so it is clean an doesn't redeposit the stain continue to rub with the ice til it's gone. I found this tip on RUclips.
Hi! I read somewhere but can't find it, a formula to soak white garments in, that have " grayed" over time...& It took the gray out & restored it to white. Do you know of one? Thanks!:)
Thanks for the tips and I appreciate the good work you're doing here. Please, how can I remove a dye stain on a multi coloured dress? That is white with a multicoloured designed! Thanks
James tough question. We use a dye stripper in varying concentrations. Key here is to remove the fugitive dye while maintaining the integrity of the rest of the design. It is not always successful and not something so easy that I could give you a step by step process.
@sreegan Ah, oil and grease stains can be tough. Those are "dry" side stains that don't come out with water. Your best bet is to bring them to a cleaner.
You're so right...I had a brand new pink dress on got into an accident soaked dress in bath tube and it was gone......I learn this from a friend who killed a snake on her white carpet...she pour peroxide on it and it was gone
6:15 I use this method all the time too. I take lighter fluid and one strike-anywhere match and before my very eyes the stain vanishes! Its miraculous!
Got an old stain on white Christmas shirt . I'm not sure what it was from . tried several formulas .. Got it only slightly less visible but only slightly less ..
@@ianmarcRoxU did mixture of hydro peroxide , ammonia , white vinegar and oxi clean versatile letting it soak in warm water amd washing them about three times . it's not perfectly white but better
Hydrogen peroxide is best on blood and wine(let it sit for 15 minutes and put a tissue underneath). Use liquid laundry detergent directly on protein stains and dish washing soap on oil and dirt.
Claudia Arredondo Late to the post but 1 part baking soda 1 part water 1 part peroxide, or use Oxy clean stain remover in bottle. Let sit 24 hrs. Viola!
how do you remove set in oil stains from a new blouse made of 100% polyester? i'm so scared that anything i try to do will make it worst or make the spot lighter than the rest of the blouse. the blouse is a navy red color.
AdamAldo Smith Mitch You should be able to get it in a grocery store. It is a cleaning product. I used to use it to remove old wax off of tile vinyl tile floors, it softened the wax and you could scrap it off. Old wax turned yellow. It does smell bad
the best for blood stains (if fresh) is to use your shampoo..works wonders !!rinsethe stain with cold water, then dab shampoo and leave a few minutes..after that, rub/rinse it under cold water ..try it...works all the time.
Sorry for such a late reply just come across this channel, try degreaser, spray it on leave a couple of minutes then wash as normal, degreaser gets all oily oils out. 👍🏽 good luck
HELP! I got bleach on a rayon and spandex shirt. There are 3 colors to it. I splashed some bleach on the grey part. This was my favorite shirt! SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!
Squeeze lemon on rust stain and then sprinkle salt over lemon. Rub it in to the clothing. You can squeeze more lemon on top of salt to saturate it. Leave it on clothing for atleast a few hours and rust stain will eventually disappear.

Absolutely, hairspray was a lifesaver for me when I taught school. I found the cheaper hairsprays work best.
I hope you did not pay at all for the mistake of the cashier

Love the look on Martha's face when Wayne says "vomit". LOL!!!!
Would rubbing alcohol be as good a solvent-based stain remover as lighter fluid in removing the carrying agent of dry side ink stains?
Great tips Wayne. I’ve used hairspray for ink. All tips are good and I mixed up dif bottles for each type of stain.

That's awesome! So glad to hear you were able to use the tips! Good luck with your wedding!

I'm afraid this technique won't necessarily work on all garments and textiles. What material are you attempting to treat?
If you want to get blood out use an ice cube. Never use warm or hot water as that will set the stain.
