I'll be riding these in a 5'7", 29 litres, Lost Mayhem Round Nose Fish 96. Might even throw into my Greg Webber 5'3" Mini CD and see how they go.

Hi viewers. Just wanted to updated you all on these absolutely sick fins. Ive been riding them now for a week in some pretty decent surf, and I can honestly say they are instantly my go to fins for any Twin fin or 2+1 setup, along with the H4s for my thruster setup. Why are they so good? I can get around sections faster than ever before. I got around sections that closed down with these fins where I wouldve bailed using the MRs. so that tells me they drive even through the flat of a wave. In fact I could feel the board really pushing from behind my back foot. It was so fast on one or 2 waves that my legs felt like they were being left behind, like road runner/coyote style!🤣 These fins will let me get onto any part of the wave with ease, they carve, they go vertical, exactly like the H4s. Im waiting for a really good sized clean day to put them in as 2+1 in my Mayhem V3 Rocket. I reckon they’ll go sick. Peace ☮️

Hey @Craig Phillips I've used these alot in a 5'7 Lost Round Nose Fish Redux which is a Low rockered hybrid fish. Surfing waves between 1ft and head height and the fins were perfect as it gives you that amazing drive with heaps of pivot like an upright fin. I love/prefer upright fins, I like surfing vertical and Im by no means a semi pro! just an average dude that has moments of brilliance ;) Another Good fin Ive tried is SurfnShows own fins. They were very good too. surfnshow.com/products/twin-fins-p-twin-1?variant=39642126843965

@Craig Phillips I found them just as good backhand as forehand. Definitely, in my opinion, the best 2 + 1 fins on the market, Noels would be 2nd but very close behind Noels are the MRs.
The 1st surf I had on them I was surfing backhand and noticed a "pushing" sensation and got one of the best back hand barrels Ive ever got, thought no way Im coming out and then flew out of this thing like a bat out of hell.

H4 hype is real. I put H4 thrusters in my JS Bullseye. Bullseye is marketed as a "forgiving allrounder" but the H4's make it feel knifey and precise while still retaining flow and speed through carves. A shame they are so expensive - only bought them because I got an unexpectedly large bonus at work.

Thanks man, hey try the JS MFC twins (www.sanbah.com/products/mcf-js-industries-twin-fin-set) or the SurfNShows HP twins set (surfnshow.com/products/twin-fins-hp-twins) in the futures. I haven’t used them but have heard great reviews.

NVS makes a twin + 1 Taylor Knox that are the almost identical style of these in futures. Used them
Lots esp in aipa/slater flat earth and they go really well!

I just purchased a set of these direct from FCS in France. I just like the look of them and as such have had a middle plug put in my Firewire seaside so I can ride it as a 2+1. That board lacked drive as a quad so with those big front fins it should hold tight in all matter of waves.

Thanks for taking the time to do a review. Have you tried the H4 Quad rears with the Fanning twin sides yet? If it works it would be a good solution for me for my small wave board!

No worries JPK. I havent had a chance to test that combo yet. I have tested the thrusters, quads, quads + nubster, twins and twins + 1 and they all go sick. So I have no doubt the twins + quad rears would go the same. I dont really know when Id use the twins + quad rears, because the quads go that well. I have Large size tri/quads and the twins are like xtra large, maybe even xtra xtra large compared to the Large H4 Front tri/quads . Hope that makes sense.

Great review. Curious on how the MF twin has been in different conditions...bigger/smaller. Do you think these fins would be good in a wider tailed grovel board? Cheers!

I surf these fins in my 5’7 mashup pretty much exclusively and up to shoulder height waves. Anything over that Im switching to the H4 thrusters or Quads. I find the twins too loose in larger conditions. Yeah absolutely they would go well in wider tailed boards. They suit all types of twinnies but remember its all about the feel that ‘youre’ trying to get from the board. Some ppl might prefer a keel style feel in smaller conditions with a wider more traditional fish tail. Hope that helps and sorry for the long delay in reply

@@eatsurfsleeprepeat5485 No worries, thanks for the update. I don't have the H4s but the MF twin fins are sick. They were so so in my Puddle Jumper HP but really lit up in my 5'5" RNF 96. So much drive, turn really well and don't slide out like the MR tends to do. I use the regular middle fin but I know you like the knubster. Cheers!

Could you compare the MR 2+1 vs the AKila Aipa 2+1 ? Thank you for a great review

Unfortunately Im not sponsored and comparing fins costs me a small fortune so I wont be doing that anytime soon Im afraid 🙏🏼

Are you still riding the MF Twin? I am trying to decide between the MF and the FCS Pang TC Twin. Have you ever tried the Pang? If so, how does it compare?
    Thanks

Sorry man, never tried the Pangs but I will say they do look very similar to the MR twins and I had those before the Mick Fannings and found the MFs to be way superior to the MRs in drive and manoeuvrability. But remember Im riding as a 2+1 not a pure twin.

Just bought these to have with my MRs. Seem like a good two sets to have.
Would love to see you compare with a ‘modern keel’ 👍

Hey Jude. Ive tested Rob Machados Twin Keels and theyre like comparing apples to bananas. Made for completely different style of board, and style of surfing. They didnt work for me but I dont have a more traditional yet modern kind of fish to test them on, like a Jim Banks Fish www.jimbanksurf.com/the-fish so wouldnt be fair to review them.
