Very beautiful and if someone is in the position where they can afford to just put the items in a drawer and forget about them, they will be tomorrows antiques. If it was a collaboration with a prestigious ceramic company like Limoges for example then I could understand the price a bit better. Otherwise, I guarantee it wouldn’t be in one piece for more than a few months if it were in my possession!

I so agree with the mirror cover !! The protective cover should have been better ! If the mirror was double porcelain (top and bottom of mirror ) that would have been very heavy in the handbag. Is is worth the money like you said ??? Take a look at the prices of Bernardaud china! lol I have to say...... old Chanel has tried to top Dior with a special Japanese glass maker who is doing glass lipsticks for $$$ and I would take Dior and its beautiful porcelain Any Day over Chanel's glass effort .... as someone said - it looks like those L'Oreal lipsticks with the see through plastic case! Dior is more chic !!!
I think the mirror would have been better and more protected with a double porcelain/lid. I would have preferred that even with it being heavier. Loved the review. That said (and as someone who buys a lot of Dior), that’s a very overpriced mirror. The Lipstick I understand. It’s practical to use and has that elevated luxury touch. (I own the Chanel 31 Le Rouge box set from last fall and love it). I just do not see the value of the mirror-if it was a compact, had a better protector or was slightly larger to use on a vanity… sure. But it’s just an overpriced Dior objet. I think it’s a stunning piece and hopefully has heirloom quality for little girls to collect from their mothers and grandmothers. But as a practical piece it misses the mark, and I need practicality in my purchases. The target market are 1) the Uber wealthy/ Dior super fans who literally spend $1 mil at Dior a year (and/or who want these collectables for their Dior collection) or 2) those who want something Dior and for them this is an achievable quality Dior piece. I get it… it a touch of luxury. But overall… unless I’m Losing 10 lbs as you said (loved that comment), the mirror is a hard pass for me.
Hello! I understand your point of view. I really wish the mirror was a compact mirror. Because it’s not, I don’t use or carry it around. To be honest, I’m afraid to use it in case I accidentally drop it, which would cause untold damage to the porcelain. I got it as a gift and love it as decor in my makeup room. It reminds me of the person who gifted it to me, and it’s a design I absolutely love. Would I recommend others to buy it? I almost wonder if your product was a return from someone else who scratched it and then they sent it to you when you purchased it.
