Totally agree, it’s fun to have choices but at a certain point it gets overwhelming. Great video, it’s reminded me to shop my stash and think twice before I buy. Thank you!
Great video! I’m a minimalist collector of makeup (60% financial limitations and 40% because I hate clutter) but my hobby is watching makeup/beauty RUclips. This video covers all my bases :) saving it down.
Minimalism has become my personal approach to skincare and most of make-up items, like, years ago. And I truly love products that I use. And I find it way more satisfying than having a full drawer of products that I barely use and have to get rid of as they start to stink.😂
I can remember when I had 1 foundation that I used until it was gone. I want to go back to that! I prob have 18 diff ones which is absurd! You have motivated me to declutter and treasure what I really love!
Yes I had my mac foundation and would use it up then repurchase. At most I'd buy 2 bottles on sale. Now I have more than 20 and I don't even use most of them 😢
Every product I have way too many multiples of, came about when I tried to find a replacement for an old, reliable favorite that is no longer available. So, I kiss a whole lot of frogs to find that prince of a product. 2 drawers-filled later, and I found it took way to long to do a routine makeup because I end up staring at a pile of (whatever) trying to decide what to use, or I couldn’t find something that is lost in the pile. I still have my 2 drawers, (when I have extra time or just want to play,) but I now work from a makeup bag with just my single favs in each category. It’s amazing how fast it goes when I don’t have to think about my choices, I know they work. It’s also reassuring that if I ever have to grab stuff and go fast, what I need is ready. Loved this video!
Great video. I'm somewhat of a makeup maximilist and sometimes I do feel a little quilty about it, but I think of it as another hobby.. Great choices/recommendations,
I've got a baby on the way in a few months and I needed to really cut back, because her nursery used to have my makeup desk and collection. So this video is really helpful for suggestions, thank you! Not everyone can, or want, a huge collection, but still enjoy makeup and the artistry of product design
OMG ... this is certainly NOT ME! I LOVE MAKE UP ... LOVE! I was fascinated to see what you would suggest so I watched the entire video. Then I went to my top drawer where I have my daily lip products and counted 42 lipsticks! That is not counting my lip crayons and pencils. What fun... I use most of them throughout the day, week, month... etc. Eyeshadow palettes and blushes... OH MY ... I'm not even going to divulge that number .... I do only use 4 mascaras in my regular rotation! Thank you for your wonderful suggestions. Love watching you and have recommended you to friends.
@@Suseau Different formulas, different shades, etc. I couldn’t do 25, 50, etc. I love makeup way too much and always have fomo. Always trying the latest and greatest. I probably have 25 eyebrow products alone. Forget the rest of the different face products.
Every time you said “never gonna let me down” the Rick Astley song popped up in my head 😂 Thanks for a great video as always, Charlotte. ¿Perhaps you could do a similar concept with a curation of makeup brushes (versatile multi-use options)?
I love the concept of this video, it's so refreshing to see beauty related content that doesn't promote overly consumption. The collection shown in this video is quite representative of my own collection (in terms of categories, not exact items), with the only difference that I have less base products and more lipsticks, as that is what I tend to use more often. Lovely video, Charlotte, well done.
This was great! I have three clear containers on my desk, and if it won’t fit, I either have to purge something, or wait till I use something up. Although, I do have lip glosses and lipsticks all over the place.😂It stresses me out if things go to waste, so I usually have a couple options, and I replace as I use things up.
A testament to how effective you are as an influencer, I can put together the vast majority of the products you mentioned with what I already have, albeit in different colours, e.g. I know people might tsk but I recently finally decluttered Chanel Elegance after reluctantly accepting that it just isn't my colour 😢😅
Love this video. Another tip, you can use your eyeshadows as an eyeliner. I own 2 liners but love to use shadow in shades of plum or dark green for a Smokey eye.
My whole collection count is 37items,but here are items I use all the time. 1. Lisa Eldridge skin tint, 2. Maybelline fit me Concealer 3.Laura Mercier loose powder, 4.sephora12h waterproof pencil for brows(doubles as eyeliner) 5.INAN natasha denona :my everyday and fun palette at once, 6.LE mascara, 7Hourglass mood exposure blush, 8. Hourglass dim infusion blush, 9.rare beauty Bliss liquid blush, 10.flower beauty bronzer, 11.LE Velvet Ribbon lipstick, 12. LE velvet Bloom lipstick, 13. LE Romy rouge experience lipstick, 14.LE Strawberry shock lipstick, 15.LE Ribbon lipliner, 16. Mac Whirl lipliner, 17.Romand melting glass lipbalm.
If you don't mind me asking, how do you get the Rare beauty Bliss blush to look good on your cheeks? Me, no matter what I do, I never seem to blend it well enough for my tastes, it always looks patchy to me. I used different techniques, fingers, brushes, sponges, under paining, nothing seems to work. I'm seriously considering just decluttering it.
This is such a great video for helping to idealize what the perfect makeup bag would look like 👍. I’d love to be able to streamline my makeup collection to look like this. I’m a collector at heart though and in ‘real life’ I’m always looking for new items! Whether you’re a minimalist or a collector I think we can all agree that makeup is wonderful! ❤
I’ve been wanting to go back to makeup bag with all the essentials but my love for eyeshadow is insatiable lol I like this video though. I think it’s fun to think about an everyday makeup bag.
Dude that dior stick foundation is literally in everyone’s recommended!!!!! And I went to check it out and it’s almost all sold out online … that right there is the information I need! I picked it up
I love the theme of this video. I’m a consumer who craves trying out tons of new products because I want to experience them for myself, but in reality, I really just need to think about what I’ll actually use and figure out which products fit into those categories. I own the Prada foundation, but I’m tempted to pick up the Dior Forever stick foundation to use for no-fuss makeup.
I'm just about to sit down to organise and streamline my makeup. Thank you for this video. I'm with you when you say you get overwhelmed by quantity and variety - which I totally am at the moment, and I don't even have a drawerful!
I had one drawer not even 1/3 filled with makeup. One blush, one eyeliner etc. Post Covid? I had to buy an ikea dresser for my collection. Many frogs kissed until I found the best product for my older face. Mind you, 1/2 of the dresser is medical supplies. The rest is makeup with lots of room for more. It’s already too much but I do enjoy having choices.
Love love makeup and have a whole drawer-yes a whole drawer dedicated to my collection!! But interestingly I tend to to use on a regular basis the same products!! The TF primer and CT mascara being absolute musts! ❤❤
What a great subject for a video - really helpful and has made me think I need to create a space for the go-tos for different occasions, rather than rummaging around at the last minute looking for stuff. Also, nice top 😊
Amazing, Charlotte 👏 Promoting minimalism as opposed to consumption and waste...radical! 😉 I think you did a great job of selecting a range of products that could "do it all", as they say. It made me realize that, while I have a ridiculous amount of makeup, I do tend to reach for a lot of the same products every day because a) I love them and b) they do the job. Love the video and the concept; thank you, Charlotte! XO, Cathy
Oh boy! I get to use my extra slots for mascara!🤭 My Grandma (born in 1908) wore BLUE mascara quite often! Of course, I mimicked her and wore it all thru college! I still like and use YSL blue and brown plus the black! Love this video!✌️❤️
One of my favourite videos you’ve done recently! It’s like wardrobe stuff too - all this choice and we often wear 5-10% of what we own! I want to do this with my own collection, while still keeping palettes as options but maybe decluttering a bit! My biggest weakness is lipsticks, (especially Lisa Eldridge ones) so they will be hard to pare down! So interesting to see what you chose. That was a lot of work for you! Appreciated though x
Great video! You perfectly described how I purchase makeup. The basics with a few extra eyeshadow pallets is what I like having. I do change things up a bit from time to time. I’ve not worn foundation in years because of skin cancers on my face. When those were taken care of I stuck with skin tints. When it comes to nail polish, well that’s a different story. Thanks again. I loved this!❤
Love this!! You did a GREAT job!!! I used to own more makeup and now I like having less. The Hourglass holiday palette is a must for me, I usually have a few foundations because I need to mix to make my shade throughout the year, mascara - I have two (one black and one brown.. with some samples in the mix); eyeliner - my favorite is a sparkly brown I use most- because I can use my eyeshadow when I want a brown that is matte. Viseart small eyeshadow palettes (a couple) - these are my favorites because I can use up before it goes bad and had all the colors I would want while being easy to travel with (since I decant.); a Revlon quad that is sparkly because again (I'm 52 yrs old with brown hair and brown eyes and I find that sparkly shadows - when close to the eyelash line really make my eyes pop. Right now I have three setting powers but that's because I didn't find my perfect one. Blushes on the other hand.. I have a bunch (at least 5 powders, and four D Myricks , Anastasian BH - neutral one that Kackie recommended that I really love (a neutral Honest beauty blush used to be my go-to) and a lot of lip balms throughout the house since, again, I'm still trying to find a perfect one. I use Beauty Pie a lot because I think they do the best job of becoming favorite products without having to go through a ton to get it right. I have more than that and like to give to friends that aren't as makeup-crazy as me. i do go through my collection and have started to write the purchase date on the back so that I keep expired makeup off my face - this reduces breakouts, eye styes, etc.... just feels better to know that it's w/in the suggested expiration period (even though I use 91% alcohol to disinfect.) Many times I mix shades to make something work instead of buying a shade I can make - unless I get the bug to buy (which does happen.) (20 eyeliners and at least 5 lip liners.) Queen from CT lipstick; 3 Lip Inks (these are fantastic for wear) with a couple of Lip Ink glosses...
Hi, Charlotte! I am a makeup minimalist. I can't bear many things in my collection, because I feel that they become expired fast and I am loosing them...I feel pity to my money and to those products. So I try to keep minimal. I have mostly face palettes like hourglass or CT, I don't have any foundation, cuz I don't use it, I have really 1 concealer right now and I have 1 mascara opened. I also have at the moment about 15 eyeshadow palettes, but 5 of them are CT quads, which mostly are kind a one look palettes. I have about 15 lip products, like lipsticks and balms, few oils. 5 lip liners for every lip color. I have few powders, but only 1 is full size - Givenchy, of course)) For brows - exactly 3 products: pencil gel and colored gel. I have some single blushes and bronzers and highlighters but kind a few of each. And I am really happy about my collection. I feel that I have everything I need for making any make up. I'm happy I found perfect products for me. Brands can't catch me anymore and push me to buy something. I know what I need and want. Loved the video, and I like to watch series "you don't need this products"))
Oh, I absolutely am swapping the eyeshadow palettes for more concealer with this imaginary makeup bag. 👛 I need coverage variety and have different face and eye favorites. Cute video idea.
I went from a professional makeup bag size collection to 20 pieces of makeup and use only 5-6 items at any given time! 😂😂 I’m one of the victims of the 2010’s makeup collection craze. Never again!
For me, I would add to this list, a black liquid liner, a finishings powder, and a setting spray. I guess my collection is medium sized. I try to finish concealer before getting new. Also, I have a set of warm colors (cheek, eye, lips), and a set of cool. (I match my clothes). Also, some creams in addion to powders in most categories.
Thanks again for this video! It was funny I was able to guess what few of you choices would be before you announced them lol the LE Sorcery, the PMG mthshpX, the Tom Ford primer lol I have to admit though the I need a warm is one of my go to palettes now!
My categories are so different. I would not include any foundation just concealer, no eyeshadow palettes at all but more blushes and lips! Also 3 mascara: black, brown and purple haha
Great video, thank you! For me it would be these 25 products: • Base: Erborian skin hero (as a matt primer) Erborian CC cream purple (foundation for winter) / Bare mineral foundation powder (foundation for summer) / Dior backstage concealer (for spot) / Kosas concealer (for under eyes) • Face: Kosas powder / PMG powder (for under eyes) / PMG bronzer in naked desire / Westman Atelier contour stick in biscuit / PMG blush in nude venus / 3 Dior backstage blushes in coral, pink, cherry /Westman Atelier blush in petal / Milk Makeup matt setting spray • Eyes and brows: Too faced mascara primer / Elf mascara lash extender / Natasha denona eyeliner / NYX pencil brows • Eyeshadow: Urban decay potion primer / PMG motherships III, V / Natasha denona mini star • Lips: PMG lip liner nude venus / Dior Backstage lip plumping goss in rosewood.
13:32 okay so as someone who is representative of the population who detests the feeling of makeup on the skin, I can confidently say there’s a small minority of us who have exactly one complexion product which is a concealer for covering spots and double duty for under eyes because who has the time to faff around with two concealers. I don’t have face powders or foundations or primers or even tinted moisturizers. My makeup bag is like half lip products, an eyebrow gel, a highlighter that I also use on the lids as my only eyeshadow, and a couple mascaras.
I knew you were going to choose the new Hourglass Evil Eye face palette - those peachy colors are gorgeous on you! And the LE Sorcery eyeshadow palette, of course! My top pick for me would be CT Pillow Talk lipstick. It's the greatest lipstick I've ever tried. I'm new to makeup & still have a mininalist collection, but am quickly becoming addicted to makeup reviews on RUclips!😂 I'm strongly considering getting the Hourglass Evil Eye face palette for the holidays/Sephora sale, because everyone is raving about it. Thanks for all your fantastic videos/recommendations!🤩💄
Great video Charlotte! Some things I can get away with only having one of such as highlighter, bronzer, mascara and brow product. I’ve got 2 different primers and two different foundations which work with those and two lip liners, one neutral, one more pink. My downfall is (or should I say was as I vow to refrain!)eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks. I’ve got too many that I’ll never use up in my life! Xxx
Great topic❤ since 2-3 weeks, I’ve been doing my makeup with what fits in a longchamp makeup bag. To identify my all time favorite and also, so that went I travel things fits
I would happily have this Natasha Denona palette, hourglass face palette, plus 2 foundations, translucent powder, liquid or cream blush, 2 lipsticks and two lipglosses and maybe dewy primer( like elf halo glow liquid filter), hourglass mascara
This is such a fun topic 😀 I would consider myself a minimalist in most categories of my makeup collection but overall I’m probably not minimalist especially when I get to blush, lipsticks & lip liners, and eye palettes in the other categories I can can absolutely be very happy with one or 2 products or even no products in the category of bronzer, but in the categories I have more than one or 2 products the numbers are : blush I currently have 6, lipsticks I have 12, lip liners I have 6, eye palettes I currently have 8 midi palettes and 6 mini to expand the color stories of my midi palettes palettes The rest of my collection is 1 foundation primer 1 eye primer 1 lip and under-eye primer in one 2 foundations, one for everyday smooth even medium coverage and one for more smoothed perfected fuller coverage 1 liquid concealer for under-eyes 1 cream/pot concealer for pinpoint spot concealing 1 setting powder 1 eye brightener 1 mascara 2 everyday eyeliners - one cool grey and one warm taupe/soft brown 2 glam eyeliners- one black and one brown 1 brow pencil No brow gel I don’t find I need it once I use my brow pencil 1 powder No bronzer for my complexion personally I prefer to use a nude beige blush the way I would bronzer No highlighter yet because I am currently searching for a favorite highlighter because i haven’t previously been into highlighter 1 setting spray
Me too I have given away so much to granddaughters they are delighted to get top end stuff, I just cannot wear as much make up as I have been very ill and look silly with too much makeup over a thin older face. I still love makeup though and will get back to normal ( fingers crossed ) xxxx
What a great list, Charlotte! You have proven that we don't have to have a lot of makeup. I am one of those with a lot of makeup and I would like to downsize, if only for my pocketbook. Your selections are well chosen and I have quite a few of them. thank you for putting the time into this list and showing us what is possible.
I'm with you on the concealer! I love the haus labs concealer! I own about 5 different concealers and always grab my haus labs. I definitely need to downsize my makeup.
I bought the Evil Eye in Lotus Flower packaging and use the bronzer and highlighter as eye shadows and love them for that. I can do my entire face with it. I don't use highlighter or bronzer and those shades work perfect for the eyes.
Love this! I absolutely adore a curated small collection. I could never tolerate a massive collection in my house. I'm beyond 25 items but still small. ❤
Hi Charlotte! I found you from Gemma’s channel. I love that you did this! Do you have any videos on your ultimate “travel friendly” for easy daytime and events? I know you don’t wear much on holiday. I haven’t really worn much makeup since I had my kids and I’m delving back into it. There is so much now that I’m so overwhelmed and want something minimal, but beautiful that I know will work no matter what. Thank you for doing this!
I loved this video! I was madly writing my 25 items and then narrowed it down to 8 for travel. I have tons but I wanted to see how I could narrow it down.
I have 1 foundation, mascara, concealer and brow pomade. Could get by with my two blend bunny cheek palettes and her highlighter palette. Kitten mischief for lippie and the rest would be eyeshadow palettes x
Very brave of you Charlotte! I don’t think I could do that but I do have a lot of your recommendations because I follow your channel and love your picks. The LE picks were spot on and so were the foundations and the Hourglass face palette. ❤❤
Great video, Charlotte. I am seriously thinking of donating all my makeup and curating a collection just like this. So❤😊 many beautiful products in your kit today and more than enough to cover all bases. Every palette, lipstick and blush was bang on for me - think I'll just duplicate ❤😂😘😘
I have just one of those nine cubbyhole things and I have organizers and each of them. My vanity that holds my daily makeup and that's where I get ready with my light up mirror
Great video. I have about 35 makeup products, but I don’t use eyeshadow palettes anymore, I prefer single cream shadows, so that alone is about 10 items. And my personal leeway is with lipsticks and glosses instead of cheek products.
41 eyeshadows, I love how we all have very different definitions of minimalist. Would appreciate much more curated minimalist makeup video to give those of us who aren't artists a reference.
Love your edit and the number of items you give in each category. I am more of a cool toned make up peeson, but watch your videos anyway because of the product analysis and descriptions. This video makes me feel a bit guilty because I have just sold quite a few of my barely used makeup items and was so proud of having reduced and streamlined my collection. And then Lisa Eldridge's launch happened... badumm tssss. 😂
Amazing video!! I always trust your opinion 😊 Most of my makeup & perfumes are from your honest recommendation. Happy with all the products performance ❤❤
If I had to be SUPER minimal I would have: 1 Mascara, 1 eyeliner and 1 hourglass palette (it would work on my eyes and face) and 1 foundation. 4 products total ❤
I only use mascara, eyebrow pomade, sometimes liquid eyeliner, sometimes one blush, and concealer only if I have a bad pimple. I find detectable makeup doesn't look that good on me now I'm out of my 30s.
I was so torn between the Evil Eye and the Dragon palette. I finally decided to go with the Dragon as my 1st Hourglass palette. Every year i could never make a decision so i ended up missing out. This time i made myself just pick 1. I went with dragon for the 2 finishing powders. Cant wait to try it.
Same. I love the colors of Evil Eye, but wondering if it will be too dark/peachy for me. (I have fair skin, blondish-brown hair & hazel eyes - my skin is much lighter than Charlotte's)🤔
You will love it! This year I bought my first Hourglass palette as well. There were too many dud colours for me the previous years (esp. the bronzers were always too orange), but I've always loved the packaging art and full face concept. Now they fixed the bronzer issue and I bit the bullet. I went with the Dragon colour story in the Lotus packaging and that palette makes me so happy everytime I look at it and use it! Although it has only two blushes I find it more versatile than the evil eye because one is really cool toned and the other one peachy.
@Rachel-ws8bc same here!! Same exact coloring. I'm not super fair. Between light and medium I think. Really wanted to try finishing powders and thought this palette would be the best to try. The palettes in years before while I was crazy about the packaging I was really unsure if I would use all of the shades in each. Especially the previous bronzers. The warm doesn't look good on me. Only thing I worry about in this palette is that highlighter. It just looks to Goldie dark for my skin. I hope it's not but I never wear a gold highlight. Looks terribly unnatural.
@orangeandyoghurt Omg. You just stated about exactly what I just wrote to other poster. I had the same exact issues. So happy you are enjoying it!! I'm only worried about the highlighter. It looks really gold and I never wear gold. Idk. It's supposed to arrive today. If so, it won't be until very late. Lol. Can't wait!!
@orangeandyoghurt omg. Played with it and it is pure perfection!! The highlight is not gold like I thought. It's stunning. The best palette I own. Even used the highlight as eyeshadow!! Money well spent!! Thank you!!
This is a fun exercise! Easier for me because I never, ever wear a full beat. But what I lack in eyeshadow palettes I more than make up for in skincare 😅
Thank you, Excellent content Charlotte.. I had to scale way way back this year. I just realized I had more then enough for modt part . ❤ Unless its a good Skin care , or feel it will be used I maje myself look at what I have. ❤❤❤ You are look amazing as usual .
I’m one of those viewers who got slight anxiety because I’m more for 25 drawers of makeup 😹 I guessed most of the products you were going to pick as I have been watching your videos for years now ☺️ And the moment you were describing your showstopper lipstick I felt it IN MY SOUL that it was going to be CINNABAR 😩😩😩😍
I’ve just finished a huge declutter of make up and clothes It was painful, but quite liberating. I do have more than 25 products left, but that’s mainly because I’ve still to tackle the lip liners and eye pencils!
Totally agree, it’s fun to have choices but at a certain point it gets overwhelming. Great video, it’s reminded me to shop my stash and think twice before I buy. Thank you!
This would make a great tag video. Id love to see what items other creators would keep.

You and me both! I'll bet I have 15 mascaras out and over 10 foundations! A habit or obsession? Who cares 😂😂😂😂
I remember when I had a caboodle and it all fit. 😅
The freckles look so cute.

I do have a large collection. I had to smile, 25 is probaly my go on holiday collection. Enjoyed watching
Not horrifying - liberating! I’m about to do an enormous declutter as the number of makeup items that I own is just crazy. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great video. I'm somewhat of a makeup maximilist and sometimes I do feel a little quilty about it, but I think of it as another hobby.. Great choices/recommendations,
Fun video! I was so proud when I guessed your three eyeshadow palettes! I’m giving myself a gold star 🎉
I totally guessed 18/25. Also, taking a gold star. 😊🌟
For some of us, this is a brilliant travel bag. This was a brilliant edit. Thank you ❤

Love this! At heart, I'm a minimalist too but there are so many endless temptations in beauty.
Thank-you Charlotte for thinking of us minimalists! Love your makeup today ❤❤❤

😂 i feel this. I love all of my babies. I'm an absolute maximalist.
One thing I don't get re people who have drawerfuls of makeup - how is most of it not expired??
I’m afraid to count my lip products 🤣. I just ordered a new vanity with more drawers to house everything.
@lauraannruocco1876 i have a billion and still would stop in my tracks going 'where the heck is my xyz?' they're all different ;)

Great idea. I hope Charlotte does that at some stage
Oh my god I just came to say this
3 seconds in and I can’t get over how amazing you look! The make-up, hair and outfit is stunning 🤩
I love the concept of this video, it's so refreshing to see beauty related content that doesn't promote overly consumption.

Lovely video, Charlotte, well done.
Love this video! Please could you consider an updated Natasha and Charlotte eyeshadow palllette rankings please, pallettes make my soul happy ❤

Sounds like a great curated collection of wonderfully satisfying options 😊

Love it 😍 thanks Charlotte. I’m definitely moving towards a minimal makeup collection.
Love this. I have too much and it does get overwhelming. Thank you for this video. Very helpful.
I love this! Minimalist makeup videos are so often done by people who are more minimalists than makeup lovers.
I picked it up
I just love shopping my collection. This was great for updating my makeup bag.
Small makeup bag here! Working on a carefully curated collection. Thank you for this video! 😘
Love this capsule makeup collection ❤
Love love makeup and have a whole drawer-yes a whole drawer dedicated to my collection!! But interestingly I tend to to use on a regular basis the same products!! The TF primer and CT mascara being absolute musts! ❤❤
🌸 I have a curated makeup kit. I could cut my makeup back to 25 things quite easily. Too much makeup overwhelms me. 💜
Dear Charlotte, I was craving for a video like this. Thank you so much!🤩
What a great subject for a video - really helpful and has made me think I need to create a space for the go-tos for different occasions, rather than rummaging around at the last minute looking for stuff.
XO, Cathy
loved this video !!!
I would probably have had less make up products and more lipsticks.
I’m a makeup minimalist who collects lipsticks. 🤷♀️
Me exactly. 1-2 of everything and 40 lip products.
I’m one of the victims of the 2010’s makeup collection craze.
Thank you Charlotte. No shouting here. This was an interesting exercise 😂.
My categories are so different. I would not include any foundation just concealer, no eyeshadow palettes at all but more blushes and lips! Also 3 mascara: black, brown and purple haha
Great video, thank you! For me it would be these 25 products:
• Base: Erborian skin hero (as a matt primer) Erborian CC cream purple (foundation for winter) / Bare mineral foundation powder (foundation for summer) / Dior backstage concealer (for spot) / Kosas concealer (for under eyes)
• Face: Kosas powder / PMG powder (for under eyes) / PMG bronzer in naked desire / Westman Atelier contour stick in biscuit / PMG blush in nude venus / 3 Dior backstage blushes in coral, pink, cherry /Westman Atelier blush in petal / Milk Makeup matt setting spray
• Eyes and brows: Too faced mascara primer / Elf mascara lash extender / Natasha denona eyeliner / NYX pencil brows
• Eyeshadow: Urban decay potion primer / PMG motherships III, V / Natasha denona mini star
• Lips: PMG lip liner nude venus / Dior Backstage lip plumping goss in rosewood.
This is such a fun topic 😀 I would consider myself a minimalist in most categories of my makeup collection but overall I’m probably not minimalist especially when I get to blush, lipsticks & lip liners, and eye palettes in the other categories I can can absolutely be very happy with one or 2 products or even no products in the category of bronzer, but in the categories I have more than one or 2 products the numbers are : blush I currently have 6, lipsticks I have 12, lip liners I have 6, eye palettes I currently have 8 midi palettes and 6 mini to expand the color stories of my midi palettes palettes
The rest of my collection is
1 foundation primer
1 eye primer
1 lip and under-eye primer in one
2 foundations, one for everyday smooth even medium coverage and one for more smoothed perfected fuller coverage
1 liquid concealer for under-eyes
1 cream/pot concealer for pinpoint spot concealing
1 setting powder
1 eye brightener
1 mascara
2 everyday eyeliners - one cool grey and one warm taupe/soft brown
2 glam eyeliners- one black and one brown
1 brow pencil
No brow gel I don’t find I need it once I use my brow pencil
1 powder
No bronzer for my complexion personally I prefer to use a nude beige blush the way I would bronzer
No highlighter yet because I am currently searching for a favorite highlighter because i haven’t previously been into highlighter
1 setting spray
I have been working for 2 years now to reduce my overly large makeup collection to a manageable size. It's surprising how long it takes to use up.
This was a great list. I love the Lisa Eldridge eyeshadow mini palette. I received it in the mail a week ago and it’s so beautiful and creamy.
Love this concept but side note, you look so pretty in this, the beigey colour top looks so good on you!
I have 1 foundation, mascara, concealer and brow pomade. Could get by with my two blend bunny cheek palettes and her highlighter palette. Kitten mischief for lippie and the rest would be eyeshadow palettes x
I totally agree with foundation pick ❤
oooh I love this video! This is so much fun! I wish other beauty content creator would do something like this 😊
Very brave of you Charlotte!
Delivered as always!
love this woman!
Your makeup is impeccable today ❤❤❤
Amazing video!! I always trust your opinion 😊 Most of my makeup & perfumes are from your honest recommendation. Happy with all the products performance ❤❤
If I had to be SUPER minimal I would have:
1 Mascara, 1 eyeliner and 1 hourglass palette (it would work on my eyes and face) and 1 foundation. 4 products total ❤
Love that ❤
Nice if you can do it. I can't do.
I only use mascara, eyebrow pomade, sometimes liquid eyeliner, sometimes one blush, and concealer only if I have a bad pimple. I find detectable makeup doesn't look that good on me now I'm out of my 30s.
Very natural, love ot.
I m so happy to hear abt brands popular in UK i m bored of videos where most of products or brands are from USA and not popular in UK
Unless its a good Skin care , or feel it will be used I maje myself look at what I have.
❤❤❤ You are look amazing as usual .
This makeup is beautiful!!!! Pls say you’ve filmed it 😁
Fun video! I've mentally decluttered to this size collection several times. I just can't get myself to actually do it!
I’m one of those viewers who got slight anxiety because I’m more for 25 drawers of makeup 😹
I guessed most of the products you were going to pick as I have been watching your videos for years now ☺️
And the moment you were describing your showstopper lipstick I felt it IN MY SOUL that it was going to be CINNABAR 😩😩😩😍
Your eye make-up is so lovely.
Thank you Charlotte (what a lovely name ! from my French perspective) This topic is so well found ! Houses and flats are tiny here in Paris
I’ve just finished a huge declutter of make up and clothes It was painful, but quite liberating. I do have more than 25 products left, but that’s mainly because I’ve still to tackle the lip liners and eye pencils!
Wow such a great idea 😍😍 I enjoyed!
Have u tried the hourglass caution extreme mascara ? It’s amazing
I love this concept- great idea!
Part of me wishes I could keep all of my makeup in one vanity drawer. The other (bigger) part of me is happy I have 4 drawers. 😮
Loved you as a baby.
This is similar to my travel list. I can be prepared for any activity.
You look soo gorgeous today 🥰
Very well thought through. Loved it!
Oh Charlotte - a 25 piece makeup collection would not be small to me 😂
She asked for a vote on a community post asking what people would consider a small collection. 25 products is what most people voted on.
I would enjoy her doing a 15, 10, and a 5 just to see the thought process.
