- «SUNŌKERU» follows us on a pow-devouring journey to the land of the rising sun. Hungry for bottomless powder, our crew packed their bags and headed for the snowy hills of Hokkaido for a two-week adventure, boards and snorkels in hand. Seasoned veterans Nicholas Wolken and Atsufumi Mizuno were joined by the fresh energy of our new friend Spencer O’Brien and the young legs of Lars Popp. Christoph Thoresen, Markus Fischer, and Neil Hartmann rounded out the gang behind the lenses, and together we aimed to take full advantage of all the things Japan is known and loved for, consistent snowfall and ramen included. We hope it shows! Enjoy.

Riding in Japan looks like an other worldly experience. With the fog and the landscape it just looks like a descent into a heavenly powder abyss.
Go do it bro, it's not that expensive. I eat cheap all year to go there and get fucking crazy in the pow pow.

The face shots remind me of being 15 in Whistler in 92 and I was sinking so deep that I developed this technique where I stuck my chin out so the pow would blind me less. Fuck yeah. I met Nicholas in Akakura Kanko one morning before split boarding. I thanked him for the inspiration, as I do again now. Stay gold Korua. I'm getting the 160 Transition finder if the Lib Tech Gods will forgive me. Japowwwwwwwwwww
