Outstanding work by Morgan Maassen. I haven't seen a snowboarding film like it. I found it difficult to get into at first but it became utterly fascinating. I love it. 👏
Crazy how differently this hypes me up for snowboarding compared to the YFT series. I feel this movie put more emphasis on the beauty of being out, a more balanced depiction of what makes snowboards fun. Watched it the night before my first turns of the season, I feel it put me exactly in the right mood! Thanks Korua.
I really enjoy that you don't follow trends on shorter, faster more social media fitting. It is a pleasure to observe shots for 20sec plus ... the focus you put on weather and atmosphere. Riding and cinematography at its best 👌
You are some of my favorite artists. More than snowboarders, board shapers, and film makers. Truly fine artists making fine art. No one has ever captured what riding feels like to me better. So good, I shared with my wife, and told her this is what snowboarding feels like. Thank you!!!👊😊
This motion takes me to another place.. simply contemplation! It´s impactante how awfull we can see how good this shapes works on diferent tipes of terrains. Thanks!! Maybe one day I'll have the pleasure to ride one of those boards!
This might really be the best Snowboarding Film I've ever seen! The shots, the atmosphere portrait, the different settings - just everything! But beside appreciating the filmmaking, I'd like to appreciate the Riders as well. Never have seen such talents on the Board before, really brings Joy to snowboarding. Keep on the good work!🙌
Thank you for the kind words :) Much appreciate the feedback! Stoked to hear you enjoyed the film and we wish you a fun winter with great turns with your friends :)
I love the fact you gave the reigns to a completely different creative for their take on snow. and yes snowboarding. but the eye he sees with is so different.
The slowmotion shots of turning in the powder. It's just... incredible. When your board is going thought the deep snow and you lean harder to the surface Can watch this thing forever! Keep it up please.
a work of art we have on our hands here. the riding is obviously kick ass, but the filmmaking - the shot composition, the lighting, the contrasts, wow... i was thinking though that it might be cool to have the red base shine through for some of the shots.
What we all anticipated and finally got made me think a lot. The boards nearly disappeared ... in clouds of frozen water. I have to confess: The short episodes are confusing - even more due to the sound frame - because our mind wants to following a stringent story. Last weekend I surfed the pocket rocket down a pow hill on a foggy day. The first day in the new season wasn't close to perfect conditions, but know what ... I got reconnected to the elements and to people sharing the same passion. That's what I realized after watching the video: it's about reconnecting and sharing. Thank you and ride on!
Thank you! Stoked to hear you enjoy the slowed down approach. Definitely a strong contrast to the fast-paced nature our films usually have had in the past.
I'm guessing it's shot with a red filter on the lense at all times to jack up contrast and make the sky as dark as possible. I'm in awe. It' s amazing.
Year 2022 - still no helmets. 😔 Have you ever thought about the influence you have on Kids or any person watching this. The invisible rock or ice block under the snow does Not care about your age, your gender or your skills. The more you get popular, the more you guys are an Idol to people. 90’s are a long time ago - helmets are okay to wear these days. No reason you are uncool. It is time for you to be responsible Idols! 🏂 Nice Videos though, more art than about your Snowboards, i do like that.
Total disappointment! Love all you guys have done so far but this one doesn't reach by far the quality of your previous productions. Slow and boring, great for an art show but doesn't have the spark of Korua. Looking forward for the next one cause this one is not the one I'll watch a million times in a row like I did with all your previous videos.
I admire the effort that went into making it but it just left me flat after watching it. A bit slow and really missing the energy and power of the riders from the previous films. Sorry for the negative comment, but that’s how I felt. Taking the Dart to Japan in February should cheer me up.
Thank you for the feedback, much appreciate your honesty. This film certainly stands in contrast to the fast-paced nature of Yearning For Turning, an intentional shift towards drawing more attention to detail and leaving a lot of room to breath and enjoy - something Morgan does magnificently with his films. We're always excited to explore different approaches and ways of capturing snowboarding and hope that resonates in some way nonetheless. Have fun snowboarding this winter!
Worked great on about 6"-8" of average snow starts to struggle a bit past 8". ruclips.net/user/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN Very light weight and the chute spin control works well. For the low price you get a ton of value. My only complaint is managing the cord as it does take a fair bit of effort to watch and pull the cord out of the way. I found myself having to whip the cord out of the way a lot when I needed to make one way passes to mange the blow direction. It's less of an issue when you can work both directions. A battery powered version would be a lot easier to handle but that is also double the price and requires battery care. I chose the corded version so I didn't have to worry about batteries but I do now see how much work the cord is. I let my neighbor borrow it and it outperformed his smaller gas blower, he was totally sold. Very pleased with the power and operations. My only suggestion is to spend a bit more on a cordless version if you have budget for it. The cord is a bit more of a headache than I thought it would be. Very pleased with the Snow Joe brand and quality.
Outstanding work by Morgan Maassen. I haven't seen a snowboarding film like it. I found it difficult to get into at first but it became utterly fascinating. I love it. 👏

Thank you kindly! Morgan is a true artist and we're honoured to have gotten the chance to work with him.
Cutting edge 🎥🤙🏻

I love the fact you gave the reigns to a completely different creative for their take on snow. and yes snowboarding. but the eye he sees with is so different.

This was awesome.

Soo sick big up 🍻🙏🏼
Thank you kindly!
Love all the use of slow motion. Been watching the other series on half speed to help with my form/style but this’ll probably be my new go to
Nice! Glad you enjoy the slowed down capturing of turns. We figured it would be rad to give everything some more room to breath for a change.
This is absolutely beautiful
This one was for the soul ❤️
Glad you enjoyed it!
Magnifique
Merci!

Snowboarding is Great!
Beautiful work from everyone involved, loved the slow-ness, time to appreciate it all properly 🙏🏼
Thank you! Stoked to hear you enjoy the slowed down approach. Definitely a strong contrast to the fast-paced nature our films usually have had in the past.
I have so much fun riding my Dart 56 - this film really captures that feeling 🙌
Stoked to hear that Paul! Enjoy your turns this season :)
Beautiful. Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
Incredible!

Anyone know song/artist of soundtrack around the 12:00 mark. Reminds me of the “you only live twice” bond theme - sick rendition

Thanks for the kind words :) It's indeed shot on a RED, but no filters on the lenses as far as I know.
Oh wow. Kudos to the color grading guy then !
