Regardless of how many new generations come out My hatred for these types of phones knows no bounds (having to spend all day dissecting them and putting the parts into new housings to fix them for people is no fun) and it's never fun explaining to people how stupidly high the price tag is for the parts. (carriers aren't helping the matter I selling them to people who have no business owning them I won't tell you how many times I've seen them sold to someone in heavy construction).
I understand why Samsung refuses to make its foldables as thin as the competition. It's because they don't want to negatively impact the phone's performance. Because Honor went for thinness, it took a performance hit compared to Samsung even after having the same processor.
I think Samsung is afraid to increase battery capacity and charging rate above what they offer because they are afraid of having another incident like the one that happened with the Note 7. So I think it's just them playing it safe. But I agree with you all, they need to give more in that area.

It has to do with the markets where Samsung and Apple are in, these are other markets compared to these Chinese brands. Samsung is getting lazy as there not as much competition in these American and European markets. How is Apple getting away with releasing almost the same phone every year with slightly update features that most Android phones are having for years and people still buy every new iPhone. For most people here in the Netherlands its about the brand and when i show friends my OnePlus here in the Netherlands they never heard of it. The new iPhone 16 has a 60hz display and ridiculous low charing speed and people will buy it because its had Apple ritten on it. If all these Chinese brands would sell there phones globally we would have better tech for probably even lower prices. The OnePlus 2 will set the bar for first coming 2 years. Samsung will definitely catch up as they are forced to.

Things we wanna see in Z fold 7. Better Durability and Dust Resistance is a must, S pen silo and outer display s pen support Better battery life and faster charging. Better and usable inner display camera for video calls and stuffs. Slightly, just slightly wider cover display and reduced bezels. Anti reflective coating on both, especially on outer display... These are the bare minimum essentials of a merely flagship phone in 2024. They are ahead in software, and features as of now tho, but still you wanna use it just like a flagship or maybe something more than it. Do not gatekeep on usability #Samsung
